I could barely get a brush through my hair. It left such a heavy residue that I had to rethink if I forgot to rinse it out. On the plus side, if marketed as a volumizing conditioner, it would probably get good reviews. However, as a conditioner in general, it is not so good. I should have read the other reviews before buying.

This is an average to ineffective conditioner. It works better than the Organix conditioners I've tried - it's not waxy - but it doesn't seem to do much on my fine, highlighted hair. It feels soft and silky when the hair is wet, but the effects don't seem to last, even after letting the hair dry naturally. It's OK for me because with my oily scalp, I can't use very heavy conditioners, but I'll be looking for something better soon.

i bleached and dyed my hair a raspberry red. it lasted for months and i credit this shampoo for that. for an african american woman it is important that whatever product we use softens and detangles and this coditioner is amazing. my hair has never been more soft and bouncy. the color started to fade after a few trips to the pool but that can only be expected.

Awful never had something make my hair feel so dull lifeless and weighed down! I have naturally thick but not corse dark hair i had a salon color done dark red they recomended the PM color shampoo and conditioner was about £20 for both to keep the colour looking best. Never used a professional shampoo before so was expecting great things, tought how to use only a small amout of each etc and that it wouldn't lather up. After first use dissapointed due to hair not shiny anymore kept using it every other day for a week, by the end of the week was fed up of horrid build up on hair! Would not wash out hair was the worst i ever seen it, went back to salon they said it had hapened to other clients too and exchanged it for redken color shampoos and conditioner and washed my hair out for free its now back to its former shiny supple self thankfully! Would never go near PM color shampoo and contioner again!

This conditioner is just ok - it is a nice light conditioner with a pleasant scent, but I need to use something a bit more moisturizing. I alternate this with the PM Instant Moisture conditioner. I also don't like the lack of slip. My hair feels tangled after I get out of the shower and I have to spend some careful time with a comb.

This is the worst conditioner I have ever used. Not only does it not keep my colour (everytime I used it I would end up standing in a pool of brown) but my hair has never felt so greasy as it does after using this condtioner and the shampoo. Disgusting. Never again.

The conditioner is a lot better than the matching shampoo. It moistens my super stripped hair without being too heavy or greasy. Took points off for the weird smell and the fact that drugstore brands (Pantene anyone?) do as well if not better for much less. Won't waste the money again, that's for sure.

I've always like PM products; I tried to like this conditioner, but no amount of rinsing got out the greasy film on my hair! It felt thick and cakey after washing... and at $12 a bottle, definitely won't buy again!

Works well on my thick, long, generously striped hair. Colour has stayed better than average, and my hair just shines.

This conditioner works better than the shampoo. It doesn't smell the best. Smells like chemicals. I have fine hair and it feels very clean and weightless to my hair which is different from what other reviewers been saying. My stylist tells me to change formulas of shampoo and conditioner but I will definitely think about keeping this one in the rotation.

How much silicone is in this stuff? I'm not anti silicone, but my goodness, this stuff is like mud! The first time you use it, your hair feels amazingly smooth, shiny and soft. After using it three times, you will have a thick waxy film on your hair that will take a week of clarifying shampoo to get rid of. It made my hair dull, limp, clumpy and damaged looking. Yuck. Pros: smells nice, gets the tangles out. It was expensive, so I may keep it around for occasional use when my hair is mega tangled, but I would never use it two days in a row.

No on this - it does not let the hair "slip." It almost skids to a halt when you try to rinse it out - very weird. Also builds up so easily and leaves a gunky feeling in the back of the head by the end of the day. No thanks.

Hated this along with the matching Shampoo....made my hair nasty, greasy and GRIMEY straight out of the shower. A total disappointment considering it's a Paul Mitchell product and I am a diehard PM fan.

So far I am happy with this conditoner. I get a lot of compliments on how shiny my hair is. I think the demi gloss hair coloring from Redkin
really helps with shine. I think the big bottle needs a pump on it.
My hair is, dark brown, long, medium fine, color treated and dry.
I wash my hair every other day unless I'm going out 2 nights in a row.

I've got dry, thick hair...pretty dry due to hair coloring, so I thought this conditioner was too thin/runny and didn't moisturize my hair at all. It basically left my hair really dry...going back to my Biolage conditioning balm.

My stylist moved and her replacement suggested the PM Color Protect line (since I get highlights/lowlights every 4-6 weeks). I wasn't crazy about the idea b/c I've never been a big fan of PM products (except for The Conditioner and Detangler which are decent). But I was willing to give it a try. The water is very hard where we live, which was wreaking havoc on my color. That was about two years ago. This conditioner, in combination with the matching shampoo & deep conditioning treatment have greatly improved how my color lasts and stays true for weeks & weeks. It stays in rotation with my HG Joico products. (FYI, my hair's texture is fine, it's naturally straight and very thick.) I am really surprised at the low ratings and bad reviews for this conditioner b/c I have been so pleased with the results! It made a HUGE difference in the way my color lasts. Good detangling, it softens and smoothes, has a light fragrance. It does contain silicones, so I clarify about once a week out of habit. A bottle lasts me a long time and is a good value. After the first two months, I was convinced. It's HG - 5 lippies from me!

I bought this when I bought the PM colorcare shampoo. I like this conditioner it works well on my color treated curly hair. I noticed in some of the reviews that people have mentioned that it contains alcohol I would like to point out that all hair products shampoos, conditioners, styling products contain alcohol.

Eh. Just another typical Paul Mitchell product- not fantastic, nor horrible. This didn't make any difference to my hair, and it smells pretty bad, like most Paul Mitchell products do. I need a thicker conditioner anyways; this is thin and runny.

I used this in London and Paris where the water is hard and full of chemicals. I figure if it can leave my hair tangle-free, soft, smooth and frizz-free under those conditions it’s a good conditioner so I’ve already repurchased and am very happy with this product, as I am with PM’s Detangler. I was surprised to see such negative reviews.

I really like this conditioner. It gives the perfect amount of light moisture to my fine, highlighted hair. I leaves my hair feeling so soft without weighing it down. If you're looking for a conditioner for very dry or damaged color-treated hair, this is not for you. In fact, the formula of this conditioner is very similar to the Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Daily Rinse. In my opinion, they're both good for fine, slightly dry hair; just choose the one that has the fragrance you prefer. I started out with the Extra-Body Daily Rinse but exchanged it for the Color Protect Daily Conditioner because the EBDR had a slight hint of banana in the fragrance that I personally found nauseating. I much prefer the milder scent of the CPDC. Ingredients: Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Cetrimonium Chloride, Polyquaternium-37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sunflower Extract, Bisamino PEG/PPG-41/3 Aminoethyl PG-Propyl Dimethicone/White Ginger/PEG-12 Dimethicone, Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Bisamino PEG/PPG-41/3 Aminoethyl PG-Propyl Dimethicone/Algae/Aloe Barbadensis Leaf/Chamomile/Henna/Jojoba/Rosemary/PEG-12 Dimethicone, Wheat Amino Acids, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Hydroxypropyl Polysiloxane, Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch, Panthenol, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbonate, Fragrance, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool.
