I love all JB oils, but this one is my favourite! It smells great and I love using it before I go to bed. Normally switch to same lavender body lotion in summer time.
Amazing buys!

I bought this one time and now I can't find it anywhere!! What is going on here? It seems every time I find a product I really really like it gets discontinued!! Come on J&J lets get on the ball and get it back on the market.

Absolutely love this oil. Smells really lovely (like baby powder with the tiniest hint of lavender / other flowers) and lingers on the skin. Will always repurchase this. Wish it came in a spray bottle - that would be perfection!

So here's the scene; it's evening, preferably a cold, winter one, and you're returning home from a looong day. All you want to do is have a nice hot shower, wrap yourself in a warm towel and hop straight to bed; even thinking of taking the time for the whole, all over body lotion thing makes you cringe; it's a chore you simply have no energy for. If you don't already own this product, now's the time to make a quick stop at the store and grab it. I'll tell you why: it will take great care of your skin, and you won't even have to leave the bathroom; right after you shower, before you get out, while your skin is still wet and the room still warm with steam, you'll slather a bit of this on, slap on the towel like you normally would and you're done. Also here's the big added plus; the scent of this will calm you down instantly and send you straight to sleep. I tell you this after having used all the products from the J&J baby lavender line for years; they claim the scent is calming and in my experience it really is. It smells of dreamy calmness, cleanness and subtle flowers.
Given the fact that I usually use baby oil when I'm in no mood for lotion, which is usually on evenings when I drag myself home exhausted, this type of baby oil is by far my favorite and the one I make the most of. It pampers me, soothes my soul and sends me straight to bed.

HG dry winter skin product. After a shower but before I towel off I slather this on my skin while I am warm and wet and just stand there a minute. It feels so good. I then towel off and my skin is super soft and smells so good. Very nice right before bed. Will keep rebuying.

I love this so much and have used it for ages. I can never be bothered to moisturise everyday so I put drops in the bath. If I have a bath before bed I put this in and I can smell the lovely scent. I come out all nice and moisturised and pat dry. Mega cheap and perfect. I love JandJ.

I love this product. The smell is so smoothing. It works best right after the shower and when your skin is still damp. I lather all over my body and then let the it soak in for awhile. Then, I pat dry with a towel. It makes my skin silky smooth :)
Loves it!

I've been getting this product since I was in high school, both the official Johnson & Johnson and the generic version. Both very dandy. Pretty nice for lightweight moisture for the legs and arms coming out of the shower. Or, for that matter, my mother used to make up her own rose scented baby oil that she'd put in her bath for a cheap scented bath and I'm sure lavender baby oil would be great for a cheap scented bath as well. Though, as other reviewers have pointed out, the scent isn't what you'd call a true lavender, reminds me of J & J Bedtime Bath. Very pleasant smell that would be flattering on just about any woman, especially in summer weather when it's nice to have a clean scent. I would advise trying to get a pump bottle to transfer this into because it's very easy to spill the baby oil in its original bottle, especially when it's very full.
Why a score of three when I obviously like this product and have been getting it for decades? Well, when I consider in comparison a product like sweet almond oil, lavender baby oil doesn't deliver as much in the moisturizing department and isn't as multi-faceted. I can use sweet almond oil on my hair, face, and body in various combinations and applications. Lavender baby oil, I can't really do that. However, lavender baby oil is cheaper and tends to be easier to obtain the sweet almond oil. So, I get lavender baby oil when I'm tight on money or don't have access to sweet almond oil. But, although I know of other products that are more impressive when it comes to moisturizing or being multi-tasking, I still get this product because of the smell. It's a really nice way in warm weather to smell nice, but not fussy.

Holy cow this stuff is great! Thank you guys for all the reviews . Without them I honestly never would have tried this - i'm a bit of a skin care snob I guess.
I almost exclusively use oils to moisturize- others i have tried and love- burts bees baby oil, weleda calendula and rose oils, pure almond and hawaiain tropic dark tanning oil.
This rivals them all! smooth silky, yet absorbs nicely. plus it smells fantastic.. Not like lavender at all though- just slightly powdery with a little musk - but still fresh and young- not overpowering at all.
comes in a clear plastic bottle with a tiny opening- no mess.
ps: I have chronic excema and was always afraid of mineral oil - this stuff has left me with no issues whatsoever.xxx

amazing...non-greasy and the lavender smells wonderful and relaxing if you put it on at night after a hot shower. :)

I love this. I actually find the scent is still a little too sweet but it does a great job of moisturizing. A little goes a long way though -- I use just a couple of drops per leg and per arm. Any more than that and I end up feeling sticky all day. Would love it if the bottle label didn't fall apart after a week in the shower, but that's not a big deal. Will happily repurchase this and stop purchasing hundreds of lotion bottles.

A no-frills product. I have tried almost every body cream & lotion like everybody else & totally forgot about J&J. This is the only body oil I used for my arms & legs when I was in high school! And it worked well then, I just used it again yesterday & I'm hooked!
