I absolutely love this gloss. It's such a gorgeous rosey pink color with a bunch of fine golden shimmer. It's rather thick when you apply it, it feels more like a liquid lipstick, but somehow it's not sticky. It is very pigmented. The staying power is decent for a lipgloss, as well. I'm not crazy about the smell, but I'm always willing to overlook it because the color is SO GORGEOUS. Like many others have said, plop this in a MAC lipglass tube and I doubt many would notice the difference.

I really like this lipgloss. I was surprised by how pigmented it was. Even as the gloss dries, the pigmentation does not fade away. It'll leave your lips with a nice light pink tint. Love the consistency and slight minty tingle. Very good product for this price. This sleek lipgloss is great pfor carrying in the purse. NYC has really done a great job at improving their line. I would highly recommend this product. In the worse case scenario, you lose $3.00

This is a great lip gloss! The color is so pretty, a purple-pink with gold shimmer. There's no disgusting plastic smell - it just smells like peppermint (I have the new version with the black lid, as the old version apparently smells bad). Its also not sticky or goopy, just a perfect consistency that's not too thin nor too thick. As for the price, its really a great deal for this amount of quality. The only thing keeping me from giving this a perfect rating is the lasting power, it is so-so (just like most lip glosses). I'm still on the look out for one that meets all other requirements AND lasts long.

EDIT: I just happened to notice this has petrolatum (which is carcinogenic) listed as one of its main ingredients, so I recommend not to use this frequently.

EDIT: Okay I just knocked off another lippie, b/c the packaging does not keep the gloss inside the tube where its supposed to be - the product oozes out and makes a horrid sticky mess!

I can't sing the praises of this lip color loudly enough! Dirt cheap ($2@Wal-Mart), lasts and lasts and lasts, fantastic pigmentation, multi-dimensional color, not too shiny, not too sticky...it's just perfect. This is the best color on me and a work horse in playing up my naturally turquoise eyes. I never thought a lipstick could make eyes 'pop', but this one does!

I like the color, it's not sticky and the price is very good.
I don't like the tube very much, it doesn't moisturize my lips and it has too much metallics finish for me.
I won't buy it again, and for the price, I prefer Essence cosmetics xxxl lipgloss, sooooooooo much better than this one, and the same price.

In my opinion, this is one of those drugstore finds that rivals MAC, Nars, whatever. You can't compete with the price, the color is beautiful, it smells pretty good and lasts for hours (without being sticky, an impressive feat in itself). I remember buying this when I was wearing a lot of MAC lipglosses and found the color a slightly rosier version of "Prrr", shimmer and all. This color really looks great on all skintones, I've tried it tan and pale and it never disappoints. I think a lot of the negative reviews arise from a (healthy) suspicion of cheaper drugstore brands, but someone mentioned that if this was put in a high-end brand's tube we'd be none the wiser. I agree, and highly recommend.

This is a lovely dusty soft rose color with lovely hints of shimmer on me. I absolutely love it and the price. It looks good layered with mauve lipstick. It's definitely a high recommend for people that love rosy colors with slight shimmer..I also like that it doesn't get all sticky and gross when worn for a long period of time.

It's ok. Don't really love the texture of finish. Color is pretty nice but I has a slightly metallicy finish? I don't like that at all. It's very cheap which is good but I would rather spend a few dollars more and get something better.

I'm really surprised by the negative reviews and would guess N.Y.C. reformulated this lip gloss.

First off the smell is delicious. I seriously love the smell. The color isn't quite as dark as it looks in the tube but has good pigmentation. I can use one layer over a lipstock or add another layer when used by itself for a pretty pink color with a beautiful gold sheen and it doesn't feel gloopy.

The staying power is decent but at this price point it doesn't hurt to reapply as needed.

These smell like a fruity vanilla.. so I don't know why one reviewer would say that is bad. It's not cheap smelling or overwhelming. I like it. The color is so pretty. I can't believe there is a gem like this for so cheap! This color is a shimmering rose gold. It's nowhere near a basic color. The gloss is very shiny, and the lasting power is pretty good. It doesn't slide around your lip line. I think this is exactly the same texture and shine of a lot of NYX Mega Shine glosses for a much lower price. This is less than $2. It's so cheap that I don't mind buying several of them and actually using them!

Dirt cheap gloss that can't be distinguished from many of the ridiculously overpriced glosses on the market. Pretty neutral everyday muted rose color, nice bit of metallic shimmer to it. I use a bit of this over lipstick daily. It applies very well and there's a good amount for the price, but it wears off your lips pretty fast and smells a bit weird, not bad enough for me to notice once it's on though.

I recently purchased this and one in another shade. The one thing I noticed was that this color did not have the weird smell of the sungold pink color. This color had a slight smell, kind of like a cherry pastry. The color was really pretty on me, and I was happy with it because I had been wanting to try rose colors with my skin tone. This doesn't last super long on the lips, but for 2 dollars I am ok with reapplying!

All of you writing about how nasty the NYC glosses smell, I think they have reformulated them - I recently bought two, one in iced orchid and one in cherrywood, the latter smells like vanilla creme! Yum! Also, it was in a blister pack, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Maybe the blister pack ones are the new ones.

Anyway, Dusty Rose is one of the best. A warm glowing rose, has a gorgeous sheen. You just have to try it to believe it, and for the ridiculously low price, there is no big risk!! These glosses have a very expensive look on your lips, even though they do not always look that impressive in the tube.

I think it's true: too soon old, too late smart. When I was younger it had to be Chanel, Trish, Nars, etc., but age, wisdom and the recession have me looking for alternatives. I won't skimp on skin care or perfumes, but makeup? This is absolutely gorgeous on my fair skin and if you stuffed it into a high end tube, I really don't think you'd know the difference! To me it smells a little like baby lotion (fine) and I think that the slightly sticky quality of this is what makes it last. I could never say that for higher priced glosses. Don't know if I'll buy this color again, but will buy the brand for sure and save what I would have spent on make up for a trip to Paris -- where I'll buy a bottle of incredible perfume!

I really thought I would like this product, because I really don't mind the lipsticks in this collection, but I was VERY disappointed.

Color: This is way lighter than rose color, and is more like a pinkish, whitish color, like a pink shirt that has been bleached. I really didn't like it, because on my medium skin tone, it looked absolutely horrible. I thought it was just because I was too dark, and gave it to my sister, who is lighter. It fit her a little better, but still looked really weird.

Texture: The texture really was one of the few things that liked about this product. texture and price- 2 lippies.

Price: Really cheap. $2, like most NYC products.

Smell: This product had the absolute worst smell in the world! It annoys me so much, and I have to tell my sister not to use this lipgloss when I'm around, because of it's horrendous smell that gives me a really bad headache every time.

Overall: One of the worst lip products a I have ever purchased. Literally unwearable. I will NEVER repurchase, but Ii will give NYC's lip glosses one more chance and try a darker shade, since this one looked completely different on the outside, from what the actual color was.

I was very pleasantly surpised by this product...I needed something quickly that has some color and grabbed this. The shade is lovely modern of mix of pink and gold.

It has a nice smooth texture and is moisturizing, and good staying power.

Dusty Rose by NYC is a metallic frosty pink with a bit of gold iridescence (sp). It is more of a soft pink than a dusty rose. I like the consistency of these glosses. Not to thick or gloopy. The pigmentation is good and you can't beat the price of $2.00. This shade doesn't work for me but it would be lovely for a paler skin tone. I am an MMM with black hair and brown eyes.

This stuff smells like grandmas. Blech. And the color is reminiscent of something a hooker from 1985 might wear. A grandma hooker.

Sorry gals, wanted to like b/c I love, love, love their Sutton Place Peach blush but this stuff Sucks with a capital S.
