I have used these products for 5 years now. I had terrible skin prior to using it. It completely cleared my skin up. It took time. I experienced breakouts when I first began it. Once it started working I wad hooked. I get compliments on my skin all the time. I have been asked if I use botox or chemical peels. The lotions and the soap are amazing. I highly recommend these products. Remember to give it time.

I tried this product before finding my current regimen, and it didn't work for me at all. I found the scrub to be far too irritating for my skin - it just broke me out more. I wanted to believe in it so much, but that wasn't enough. I have sensitive skin that will break out a lot unless I'm very diligent with my current regimen, and using this scrub made my skin look terrible. For me (and I think most people) I would have been better off using a gentle cleanser (NO ground up seeds/nut shells/etc.) followed by 2% benzoyl peroxide as a treatment all over the face. Putting benzoyl peroxide in a product that you wash off right away is useless - you're washing that active ingredient down the drain. Now I use salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide as topical treatments all over my face after washing with a gentle cleanser, and my skin looks great. If you really want a scrub, use a washcloth.

I have been using Carley's Clear and Smooth cleanser and bar soap for about 3 weeks now and my skin is clearing up quite nicely. The first two weeks were awful, not going to lie, and I broke out like CRAZY. In the midst of my first two weeks, freaking out, I bought MyChelle Vitamin A+ Serum and I've been using that nightly for about a week. My skin looks dramatically better! Also, Origins spot treatment is excellent and I obtained a sample of this from Sephora and used it during the two week hell hahah. Soo week 3 and I'm only excited to see what the next few weeks will bring! Highly, highly recommend Carley's (use as directed, although I didn't need washcloth) and MyChelle Vitamin A+, just be patient!
UPDATE: It's been almost 4 weeks and I stupidly started using MUFE liquid HD foundation and I have two large cystic-like pimples on my chin and now I don't know if it is from Carley's or the makeup. I am going back to neutrogena skin clearing (my staple) and let you know what next week brings, if I'm still breaking out, I'm done with Carley's.

This product is the worst thing that I ever tried, the soap completely clogged my pores and cuased more pimples! You are cuasing more pimples from clogged pores and the scrub does nothing to clear them up, my face looked so terrible that people were asking "What happened to your face"? "Thats a shame" They would say, I missed a very important meeting at work becuase my self esteem was diminished to zero by my appearence due to this terrible product. Please don't try this stuff!!!!!!!!

I ordered this on Saturday and I received it Wednesday (their shipping always takes 2-3 days, but they don't process orders on weekends unfortunately). I was not patient at all and I literally squealed when my mom gave me the box of Carley's products! When I opened the box, the packaging looked great and I was extremely pleased to see samples of TEN of their 21 products!!!! They have amazing customer service too; there's a no time limit satisfaction guarantee on their products and all my emails were answered the same day I sent them. I spent $62 on four products - the daytime moisturizer for acne prone skin, the tamanu cream, the elder flower mask for acne prone skin, and the industrial strength acne formula for teens. After reading the directions, I did it word for word and my shower took 30 minutes :/. But I did use the kick-start regimen and I also have body acne so that's probably why it took so long. You get a free bar of soap with almost every product you buy so I got four bars and I LOVE THEM. They don't smell and they're super healthy and feel great! Plus they are ginormous. I used it on my hair but I'm not sure if it was successful as a shampoo and conditioner. The acne treatment felt great and it worked REALLY WELL after only one night! My pimples have dramatically reduced in size. :) The moisturizer is amazinggg - it's so easy to glide on and I feel like I'm getting a spa treatment because it's so moisturizing! Although, it does smell a little too strongly. The lip balm (one of my samples) is INCREDIBLY moisturizing, but I don't really enjoy the tangerine scent. I'll keep updating every week on my progress, but so far I LOVE Carley's!

If you have acne, or just want great looking skin, try this! My teen daughter uses it, and barely has a breakout now. I use it, and it makes my skin look great! It smells great and is all natural. I hope they never stop making it. Oh, and the acne prone moisturizer is wonderful. Try it and you'll be on here writing your own review!

I am 35 & I have slightly oily skin, but not oily enough that i need powder over my liquid foundation. Every month around "that time" I always get 1 or 2 good size pimples, other than that, I tend to get blackheads on the nose/chin area & a few whiteheads here & there. None of it's a huge problem, but of course, I wish they were nonexistent. So, I seen CARLY's on EBAY, read the feedback & the guarantee & thought WHY NOT? I have just been using CARLY's Original Clear & Smooth (along with CARLY's NATURAL SOAP) for 2 days now & have followed the directions exactly. I can say that my face feels wonderful & my pore size/blackheads on my nose & chin area have already decreased. Don't get me wrong, I can still see them when I get close to the mirror, but after only 2 days they are smaller! I'm not giving CARLY's a 5 lippie rating bc it's been only 2 days so it's too early to jump to conclusions. Plus, the $8 shipping is about $3.00-$4.00 higher than it should be. But in the long run, if it works, I will pay the shipping with a smile. I will update as time goes on.
***UPDATE 7/25/2010***
I have been using CARLY'S for about 10 days now & my pores/blackheads on my nose & chin have DRASTICALLY decreased. Before using this product, the pores in the area between my cheeks & nose were getting larger. Not blackheads, but just large pores. In only 10 days, those pores are already smaller.
My son, who is 13 also uses this product. He doesn't get hardly any pimples, maybe 1 or 2 a month, but he does tend to get blackheads on his nose. This has helped his blackheads as well.
So far, this product is working well on our problem areas. It's no miracle "do it all in 1 day" product, but what is?
Also, I am IN LOVE w/ the soap he sends!! It it so fresh & clean smelling & feeling! Not drying, not greasy...perfectly balanced! My son, who, like most teenage boys could care less about these things, even said "Mom, get some more of this soap...I love it!" Also, the soap lasts FOREVER! Both of us have used it to wash our faces (2 times a day each) for 10 days now & about 80% of the soap is still left!
***NOTE*** If you have been using very strong acne products then you start using CARLY's, then YES, your skin is probably going to get worse before it gets better. Here's why: When you use extra strong products for acne, they dry your face out & strip the oils. This makes your oil glands go into overdrive & produce more oil to go toward the surface. As this pattern goes on, more & more oil is being produced and then one day you stop using the strong acne medications & you start using CARLY's which, unlike the acne medications you've been using, it is Ph Balanced & contains oils (good oils). These oils from the product are now going down into your skin while your oil glands have been producing large quantities of oil & sending it up to the surface. So, now you have oil going into your skin, oil coming out of your skin and the 2 are mixing together, causing chaos, making your face break out. BUT, before too long, your oil glands gets the message, "Hey, we can stop working so hard! The skin is no longer overly-dry." So, oil-gland production goes back to normal & pretty soon your skin is pH balanced. The time it takes to get to this stage varies from person to person. The longer you've been using the strong acne medications, the longer it will probably take for you to reach this stage.***For the record, I am not a dermatologist, but I am a graduate of cosmetology school. I have studied skin & I am licensed to provide services such as facials, facial massage & cosmetic applications.

ok, first of all, my skin has been breaking out since i was 16, and I dont think that i have ever had one Week where I didnt have a blemish:(
To make matters worse, when I had my daughter @ 23, all of a sudden my blemishes would become cystic and would take a very long time to heal and scar badly before going away. I had tried many treatments for it and sensitive skin from the drugstore, sephora, the dermatologist,and even took antibiotic pills for it, which helped only while I was on them. One day I was wandering around e-bay and went ahead and purchased the treatment and the anti-aging moisturizer for OILY skin and my skin has made a complete dramatic change, I really didnt expect it to start working right away because It takes about 2 months for ANY product to really affect your skin, but I am simply AMAZED at how my skin is BEHAVING, it is repairing itself without any spot treatment, it heals immediately and there is minimal scarring from the acne that was already present when I started using this. I follow the instructions just like they are on the bottle, but unlike other reviewers, I use only the "Regeneration Anti-Aging Moisturizer for Acne Prone Skin" to moisturize, and let me tell you, I dont think I could ever live without it. I did try the other moisturizers the day&night ones, but nah, they are nothing compared to the one I chose. I believe in this product, and while everybody's skin is different, remember that it usually takes a very long time for skin to get to the point where nothing helps to heal the blemishes or clear it, so it is not reasonable to expect immediate or super fast results, but this will help your skin begin to heal, and it will strenghthen it too. I have also only used Bare Essentials foundation only since using this product because I dont want to add anything that may aggravate it. If my skin stays clear, then I will try using liquid again and see how that works. Honestly, I am thrilled with the results.NO MORE BLEMISHES! Good wishes to all of you girls.

I bought this after reading all the great reviews here, acne.org and EBay. I wanted to find a natural cleanser for my skin. I notice my skin will still break out from time to time but I can't use any acid based cleansers (ex: glycolic or salic). It's very clean smelling and your skin is very soft after you use the cleanser. However, I think with all the essential oils in the cleanser it irritated my skin. I woke up the next morning with 4 tiny whiteheads. You know how it's obvious when you do something different to your skin and it reacts, that's how my skin felt with this cleanser. According to the directions, your supposed to use the soap that comes with it, but in my experience I can't use any soaps on my face. I will break out! So I only used this product for 2 days and I'm going to stop. I don't want to take any chances and I'll just stick to my old cleanser. I did try to use just the cleanser/scrub by itself but I didn't feel like it rinsed off completly. I felt like it left a residue on my skin.

First if you have used or currently use BP this product will take longer to work for you. It is based on the priniciple of giving you back pH balanced skin, and not just as an ad slogan.
I had acne since 2003 when I had a tubal ligation. Always had clear skin before then, but after and during the short pregnancy (at age 25) my skin went nutso. I tried every product out there, giving them all 6 months or more, tried ever birth control, nothing helped.
This seemed to soothe my skin and HEAL my existing acne with also preventing it. I still get blackheads but I have included a gentle non alchol toner and that seems to have helped. I have yelled this product from the mountain tops and still will. It has a non expirational money back guarantee so you have nothing to lose. The website is cheesy which almost made me not purchase but the guarnatee finally lured me in.
I use the teen acne and the night time acne moisturizer. I use the moisturizer both day and night time. I also use 100% Pures tinted moisturizer which thankfully does not break me out and the zinc seems to help clear me up as well.
Carley's is a godsend for me. I was embarrassed to leave the house and once again people tell me how gorgeous my skin is. I recommend the soap to EVERYONE.

I bought this a month ago and so far, it has really cleared my skin up well. I have had a couple small bumps here and there as I try to figure out a moisturizer to work with it as part of my morning routine. I have been using the Daniel Kern regimen in the evening with AHA+. I cannot tell which regimen is working better or if they just seem to work well together. Carley's alone is possibly not strong enough and Daniel Kern is too much twice a day, so I am afraid to go with just one or the other.
I'm still figuring out whether I like the Carley's Daytime Moisturizer. The night moisturizer gave me an allergic reaction.
I wanted to write a review for Carley's Lip Balm, but I couldn't find it listed. I was given a free sample when I ordered the Carley's skin treatment and I have to say IT IS THE BEST LIP TREATMENT I HAVE EVER TRIED. I had dry chapped lips and nothing seemed to work. This soothed my lips immediately and banished dry, cracked and chapped lips forever. It is kind of like a sugar scrub and lip balm in one. Smells great too!

I ordered this product a month ago and my skin seems to be clearing nicely. No big cysts at all, only a couple small bumps here and there as I figure out what moisturizer to use with it in the morning. I am using it in the morning and the Daniel Kern regimen at night with AHA+. I can't tell which of the regimens is working the best or if they are simply working fantastically together. I'll report back in a month.
The main reason I wanted to write a review, however, was that Carley's sent me the ABSOLUTE BEST LIP BALM. I walk with a group at 5 am every morning and it can be quite cold and windy and my lips take a beating. Carley's lip balm immediately soothed my chapped lips and banished dryness forever. It kind of has a scrub-like quality to it and really leaves your lips in top condition. I LOVE this stuff and plan to order a 5-pack with my next order.
The customer service is great. I had a reaction to the night moisturizer and they gladly took it back. I'm still trying to figure out of the daytime moisturizer is the best for me. I'll give an update on that as well.

I' m surprised the rating for this isn't higher.
No product is for everyone, but for me this stuff is AMAZING. Can't say enough good things.
I've been using for the last 2 years and I love being able to use something that exfoliates every day.
I have really dry/combo skin, and this stuff scuffs off the dry skin which clogs my pores.
Also, the people who make/sell this product are incredibly personal (despite doing so well with their products) and give really great deals and lots of free samples of their moisturizers, masks and lip balms when you buy multi-packages of their stuff.
The thing about anything like this is that it's going to get worse before it gets better. It gets rid of toxins, unclogs pores; skin has go through the motions of detoxifying and then getting to a state where it's healthy and can keep toxins and clogged pores at bay. Using a product like this makes the future of potential zits controllable and avoidable.
The packaging isn't flashy or designer, but it keeps the product in the container, is heat resistant and gets the job done. I've had fancy containers that looked beautiful but broke in a few days (Revlon and Loreal are notorious for that). The packaging for Carley's has never broken on me and it's what's inside that I'm most interested in. This stuff rocks my world. And it's pretty dirt cheap considering you get a giant bottle of it ($20 + $8 shipping) and how long it lasts.
I'm now trying the moisturizers and the other products from this line.

Although I have previously used Accutane, it did not get rid of my acne completely. I still have little white heads, black heads, clogged/huge pores, uneven skin tone, and pit scars. My skin is no where near smooth! I decided to try out this product and hopefully get that nice airbrushed smooth skin. This review is for the teen formula with 5% benzoyl peroxide.

First impressions:
So far, I have been using this treatment once a day with the included soap for 2 days and so far I have good results.
I had read from a previous review that the ground walnuts in the treatment are razor sharp and cut her skin and it worried me, but I find that it was a MAJOR exaggeration. The shell pieces in this product are even smaller than the apricot particles in St Ive's apricot scrub and smaller than sugar grains. I have no problem scrubbing my face with it. Unless your skin's paper thin, I don't think you would have a problem with the ground up walnut shells.
The soap that was included with the treatment is a little drying but the treatment itself doesn't seem to have any negative effects on the skin. After two days, my skin already feels really soft and I see the amount of blackheads on my nose has deminished. No new acne has popped up so that's a good sign.
The treatment solution itself smells kind of like lavender. I didn't find the smell too strong. The product is kind of runny though.

It's been more than a month since I have first started using this. I've went through one-third of the bottle already. My pores are smaller and my pit marks are less visible. I definitely have smoother skin now! This product has also reduced the redness on my face and whitened my face a bit, which I like. So I got the smooth part, but I'm still working on the clear part. My face still breaks out every few days with a small white heads around my nose. I still have constant visible black head. A couple of times, I've gotten painful pimples which I spot treated. I haven't seen the 100% clear results but the seller says it takes up to 3 months for this stuff to work so I'm still hopeful.
I should mention I ran out of the provided soap 2 weeks ago and I've been using just plain old Dove body bar instead. I haven't noticed anything different.

I have stopped using this treatment. I realized it's just the soap that was making my skin softer, without it, this product does nothing. It also leaves my skin inflamed after I scrub with it. Would not buy again. $8 shipping is ridiculous.

When I first started, I had hope in this product but at the end of my 7th month I was just breaking out more and more and I couldn't take it anymore. I liked that the routine was super simple and as much as I wanted to like it, it just didn't work. Good customer service though, I returned it and they gave me a full refund without question. I also ordered some of their lotions and while they fe;t really nice, I didn't like the smell of them too much.

I really wanted to love this stuff. I was so psyched to read all the great natural ingredients and the great reviews here and on the acne.org website.
My skin had actually been pretty good, but a couple big zits one month made me think I could do better with my skin. I should have left well enough alone. I can't say for sure it was the Carley's, but I can't think of anything else that changed in my skin care regime. I used it as directed for a few weeks, along with their soap included with the cleanser. My skin is now horrible! I don't believe that your skin gets worse before it gets better. Zits are zits. My face is now a big mess. I have red bumps in different stages of healing and erupting all along my jawline, upper neck, & cheeks; places where I don't normally breakout. Some started as itchy bumps, others as just red bumps. They just keep coming. I've stopped using the Carley's, but my face is now full of red marks. I've stopped using their soap as well. I will be sending it back since thankfully they offer a good return policy. The only good thing I can say is that they make there stuff from all natural non-animal based ingredients. The cons are that the price is a bit steep for the treatment and their shipping is high. $8.
For those who this works for, that's great. Apparently I'm one of the few who are too sensitive to this product. I'm not trying desperately to get my face back under control. I look an absolute mess...

i love this stuff. it cleared up my acne, not immediatly, but with long term use. it made my skin clear and radiant for the first time in years. it's in a big bottle so it lasts forever too. the only reason i cant rate it a five is because not ALL my acne is gone, but most of it is. the rest i spot treat.

I've been a faithful user of this product for the better part of 5 years now. I recently tried Philosophy's Purity cleanser in an attempt to find something that I can just pick up and go home with, but after a few weeks I broke out worse than I have EVER broken out - and Carley's saved the day! After just 4 days of use, my skin is back to normal!!! It's just amazing, and I don't think I'll ever go to any other cleanser anymore! I'm a lifer :)

So, this took a LONG time before I saw AWSOME results. I started using it on March 23, it is now June 7. However, from when I first started using it to now I have seen gradual improvement. I'm going to bullet some observations of mine:
- I used Murad before and my skin looked tired, dry, and just gross afterwards. But my skin looks HEALTHY and RADIANT (even when I had tons of acne, the nonaffected areas looked really nice).
- All NATURAL- big plus!!
- Exfoliating- my skin felt sooo smooth.
- Results! (wooohooo!)
- HEALING ( I know this is weird, but the acne healthily dissappeared. It wasn't like "poof-gone", but it actually healed itself.
My Routine was:
Morning- Carley's Soap, Day time moisturizer
Night- Carley's soap, acne treatment/scrub, soap again, Exotic Butter moisturizing
The past few weeks I've added a homemade yogurt mask (see my other reviews for recipe) and that has helped A LOT! I also just started using the Kick *ss Treatment to ensure clarity. But I still have like 1/2 of the normal bottle, so I can always switch back.
I wish this stuff had more recognition, because it truly is awsome!

Started using this on 2/8 after having to ditch my LUSH Coal Face because it was causing my to get blackheads like I have never had before. I read all the reviews for Carley's first, but I know that not everything works for everyone so thought I would give it a try. I ordered the kit on ebay that comes with the treatment, bar soap, day moisturizer, and night moisturizer. Steve is also very generous with the samples/travel sizes when you order, which is always a plus.
The first night I used it I followed the instructions to the T. Found that I am very sensitive to the BP, so I altered my use to the bar soap twice a day (gets makeup off awesome) and using the treatment for only 15 seconds every other night. I also held off using the night moisturizer until I had been using the other products for about 10 days. Gradually I started using the treatment nightly, only leaving it on for about 20 seconds though. I love the day moisturizer, stuff works great. I rub a small amount in after my shower then right before putting on my makeup I put another small amount on, it soaks into the skin really fast. The bar soap works great, after I use it all my makeup is gone, and my skin is smooth and soft. And no more blackheads are popping up which is fantastic. Only thing I can nit pick about is the night moisturizer comes in a big tub, I used a funnel and put it into a pump bottle so I don't have to stick my fingers in it anymore (so not sanitary!).
12/21/08 - Still using this product, it's still working great. I love sharing the samples that Steve sends with my friends and converting them. I've converted everyone who has tried it so far.
