Dries my skin while it removes my makeup, I have dry skin to begin with. It doesn't clean the hair well enough., but I have very thick hair. Oh well, it's not made for me but I was hopeful.

This contains quaternium-15, which releases formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. look at all the other ingredients this corporation puts in their products. how dare they put it in baby shampoo!

This surprisingly is a great product. It gently cleans my hair. I am growing out my hair and the best thing is to use a gentle shampoo. I had for when my little cousin comes over and spends the night. I ran out of my shampoo and that was the only type it had so I used it with my Garnier Triple nutrition conditioner. my hair was so soft. Never switching back.

I have had an issue with dermatitis around my scalp and this completely cleared it up! No more expensive shampoo that doesn't work :) It is also a pretty good gentle cleanser, especially for makeup removal.

This may be a nostalgic shampoo for many of us, with its lovely smell reminding us of our childhoods.
However, I find this doesn't clean my hair properly and builds up residue, so that I'd need to use a clarifying shampoo more often than otherwise. In terms of leaving my hair shiny, soft or manageable, it doesn't do any better a job than other shampoos out there.
I tried it for my brushes as well, and the effect is the same - there's a residue build up in the long term and it doesn't clean them properly. My teacher in makeup school actually said that the best thing to use to wash my brushes are the shampoos that are really bad for your hair, the cheap simple ones, as those clean brushes properly!
Anyway I diverge. This is meant for human hair and, while for babies it might be ok because their hair is less oily and dirty than adult hair, on adult hair this is just not effective enough.

It's indeed gentle, but the cleaning power is not strong enough. There are many gentle shampoo out there with stronger cleaning power. Also, the fragrance it contains is a potential irritant for babies.

I love this product! it has so many uses, and so cheap too!
The story is, i was at kroger one day, and realized my dog needed gentle, tearless shampoo, since he's a shih-tzu and gets tear stains frequently. So, i go and find dog stuff, and everything there was really expensive. and then i remember my friend, who breeds dogs, that they use baby shampoo, since its inexpensive, tear-free, and smells great, so, i hurry into the baby isle, and find the generic brand on sale for $1.34! so i pick it up, and give my dog a bath, and the smell just brought back so many good memories, so i decide to use it on my hair. I absolutely loved the outcome, clean, shiny, weightless hair! I have very long(almost to my waist). thick hair, with an oily scalp and dry ends. I first put this on, then mix a quarter-size amount of Herbal Essences Honey, I'm Strong into my hair, and then use the matching conditioner. WOW my hair is so soft, and smells heavenly(: Then, i thought, how great would this be as a face wash? so i used it as a face wash, on makeup-free skin, and its amazing as well! really foamy, but also very gentle and non-drying. I love my Purpose face wash, but i will continue to use this in the shower, and if i ever need facewash. this is so inexpensive, and so multipurpose, you almost cant afford NOT to have it!
EDIT 10/4: I figured out that I LOVE LOVE LOVE using this along with my Honey, I'm Strong shampoo, and then the matching conditioner. My hair is soft, bouncy, and strong, and I get compliments every single day in how amazing my hair smells, looks, and feels. 1000x recommend for girls with extremely long, thick hair!!!! Cannot be happier!!!!!! :D

I used this shampoo on my hair. I found that I had to use a lot of product to feel like I have clean hair. Once using a lot of product the result was just okay. I would repurchase though.

Well, I've never used this as shampoo on myself, nor do I have any Rugrats or even pets, for that matter. But.....baby shampoo is the only thing I clean my makeup brushes with (the best things in life have 10000+ uses and functions, am I right?:D) and it does an ACE job at it, too. Dirt cheap, I've gone through about 8 bottles (and I DEEP clean those brushes with this stuff, and it does a splendid job). I usually keep two bottles in my house at a time. I guess I'm going to have to double that up whenever I decide to have youngins. :)

I'm reviewing this product not for it's intended use. We used it in Hawaii for a snorkel mask defogger. You get a little spray bottle from the grocer, add a tablespoon of baby shampoo then water: voila!! Best defogger on the market. Spray into mask, rub in, rinse twice. Bonus = doesn't burn the eyes.

I know this is intended for babies, so I am basing my rating on that fact, giving it an "average" (3 lippies).
Several years ago I decided to give baby shampoo a try because of some old 1990s commercial that aired during a movie that my parents had taped (and I was watching said taped movie). A little girl was angry at her sister and dad for using her baby shampoo because "she was the baby"; anyway the teenage sister said it made her hair baby-soft... so that's why I decided to try it haha!
It did make my hair pretty soft and managable, and tangle-free which is a very happy occurrence for me! I was swimming competitively back then, so anything that made my hair managable was very welcome in my hair-care collection. After a few weeks it did lose its "amazingness" and was just average, so I finished off the bottle. Then the next time I went to my hair dresser, she asked what shampoo I was using, and I said baby shampoo. She told me that wasn't a great idea because even though it may seem awesome at first, it leaves build-up in your hair which can cause more problems. So I took her advice and stopped using it.
Perhaps baby shampoo can be used to restore softness to your hair if its in need of some serious managability, but not on a long-term basis. And if I do decide to give this another go, I'll be sure to use a clarifying shampoo every few days to clean out the gunk it leaves.

First,I have a long hair (almost reach my waist)
I love this shampoo,it remove those dandruff, but I think due to my long hair,It's hard to comb my hair afterward, so for me it's the main problem, but a good conditioner can fix that problem.
Shiny hair? Yap
More volume? I think so
Nice smell? Yup^^,bring my childhood memories, because I use it since I were a baby until 3rd grader
For makeup brush,I don't know...
For my blush brush = okay
Kabuki brush = okay
Concealer brush = okay
Liquid foundation brush = unfortunately it's not working. I don't know is it because of my hard take-off-revlon colorstay liquid foundation or idk-_-
I have to use makeup remover from maybelline first before wash it with this shampoo
Price? Affordable,100ml for 0.8$ in indonesia, for travelling is handy. So it's impressive.
For face? I don't know,I'm still sticking to my Paula's Choice normalising cleanser, but still trying to q-tip it to my acne&milia, hope it works :D

the other day i used thiss to wash my face with b/c im running low on cleanser so i used this. let me just say one thing, im constantly have to scrub my eyes to get all my makeup off and then i still have raccoon eyes. but not with this. i swear it got off all my eye makeup including mascara without leaving any thing behind. plus it was really gentle and made my skin smooth.
the reason i gave it a 3 is because when i use this in my daughters hair it dries it out a little but i use conditioner in her hair every now and again.
really yall should try this as a makeup remover

Ok, so I have struggled with dandruff my entire life. I have tried everything from selsum blue, denorex, neutrogena t-gal, head and sholders, AG control, and everything in between. Nothing ever completely cured it, NOTHING. Until I came across a blog about a guy using baby shampoo to get rid of dandruff, so I figured, worth a shot. I am amazed. Within a couple uses my dandruff was completely gone and has stayed gone. I am just finishing my first bottle and I plan to buy another. For background. I have long dark brown hair that is past my bra strap. I currently have no color in it, so it is all natural and healthy. This hasn't dried my hair out and it's definately more manageable lately. Lastly my dandruff tends to be the white flakes (Just an FYI). I would suggest this to anyone struggling with dandruff, it's definately worth a shot, I was about to go to the dermatologist and this has been a blessing. I am so thankful to have found this, so I have to share!
