Love this. I have NW/NC 20 neutral skin that will throw orange, muddy or pink very easily but this product does none of that. I use a large fluffy brush and a light hand to produce a nice natural 'flush' which lifts and shapes my features and makes me look generally healthier. By far this is the best bronzer I've ever used.

I sometimes also use it an e/s crease definer, my only criticism is that it can tend to highlight any open pores you may have, so use sparingly in these areas.

Ehh this is OKAY. I was expecting to adore it when I saw 4.6, such a high rating.
1. its so small! Its like as big as chanel eyeshadow quad but in a circle. Like half of other bronzers.
2. Its too sheer
3. The color is more plum brown then a dark brown on me (Nc15-20).

Ill use it up its not horrible, would probably work on others but for bronzer doesn't work on me.

I use it as a setting powder when I use cream bronzers like TF Shade & Illuminate

I really wanted to like this bronzer but it didn't work out for me. I wasn't into the color too much, as I found it a bit dark. I know pale girls love this bronzer because it is so sheer, but the color itself is a dark brown already, which I dislike. What makes this product easy is the fact that it is so sheer that it is foolproof, but it takes swipes to build any color, which can be a bit inconvenient. The sheen/shimmer this bronzer gives is rather lovely, if nothing else.

I've had it for a month and I'v been using it nearly every day. I'm a pale gal (NC15, very pale, warm undertones) and until last year I never used bronzers and never figured how to make it work on my face. Having finally understood how I could use it, I started a quest for the perfect bronzer. I've tried Guerlain Terracotta Light in Blonde (I've loved it for quite some time, but I hate that after a few months the shade changes completely because you only consume a couple of the shades, while the others are much harder), Illamasqua Writhe (beautiful, but VERY pigmented, so you have to be VERY careful if you want a subtler effect, meaning a bit difficult tfor an everyday wear), Chanel Tan de Soleil, aka Bronze universel (beautiful too, but sometimes you want more sheen and it's not very practical either. It's so big and chunky you can't throw it in your purse for touchups), Korres Monoi oil bronzing powder (not bad, but can look a bit orange, plus it always breaks me out), plus various mineral bronzers and some drugstore ones (Revlon Sunglow powder in Amber, not so bad but come on: why should I devote half my purse for a single gigantic medium quality bronzer?; Rimmel Natural bronzer in Sun bronze: ORANGE!; Wetnwild MegaMix Bronzing powder: ORANGE!). Enter Armani Sheer Bronzer in shade #1: the price is steep (42 euros in Italy) and, since it's not very pigmented (which is a huge plus in terms of a foolproof application), I bet it won't last for ages with an everyday wear. That said, you can easily build it up and, applied with a Mac 138 (at least that's what I'm using), it gives my face a beautiful warm glow, really natural looking in terms of color and with a very subtle shimmer, that doesn't scream "YES I'M WEARING BRONZER", but has more dimension and life than a matte bronzer. Like many other reviewers here, I too would never have tried it hadn't I read a number of rave reviews, considering how dark and brown it looks in the pan. Another plus is the sleek and handy packaging.

The only bronzer I use. I occasionally also use it as eyeshadow. As others have said its very brown in the container but it goes on sheer and light. Its not orange or muddy or bricky (not a word but appropriate). For the record I have brown eyes and a cool to neutral skin that "throws orange" at the drop of a hat - this bronzer does not do this.

I would buy again but the container has lasted forever.

I can't even remember the last time I was interested in using a bronzer. It's the one makeup product I can't stand. Frankly they scare me. On pale people like myself it usually looks obvious. My skin is so pale, and I'm a sunscreen addict so I never have anything resembling a summery glow. I've always been content with that. But lately I've been curious to try one just to give my skin a little something extra. Make that a VERY little something extra.

You know how fragrance-shy people apply their perfume by spraying it into the air then jumping through it? That's how I feel about applying bronzer. If I could sort of float the dust towards my face I would...

But I took the brave route and used my Ecotools blush brush to apply this very gently in places where I assume the sun hits naturally (trying to mimic techniques I read about in every magazine, etc). I'm so shocked at how much I love this stuff. It's really gorgeous and doesn't even look like bronzer at all. My skin looks good. For as dark as this looks in the pan it really applies sheerly. I could even become bold with my application since I can't see how this would ever look harsh or unnatural.

When I'm in a rush I just dust some of this on, add some brow gel and lipgloss and I look effortlessly put together. Never thought I could skip blush and still look like I'm alive. But this does the trick. And I love going all out and pairing a smoky, dark bronze/chocolate brown eyeshadow look with this as well.

So it looks like I have to add my raptures about the glow, natural color, incredibly subtle shimmer, and warm luminescence to the list of already great reviews. I feel like I could easily be lured into trying bronzers from every line now, but this is so amazing I don't really need to venture out there.

This the best bronzer I have ever used. I am pretty fair and I always struggle with bronzers, so for awhile I stopped using them. However I'm going on a beachy vacation next week and I wanted something to warm up my complexion. Usually bronzers are either too orange, or too dark and end up looking muddy and dirty on me (ie Benefit Hoola). This bronzer is great because it is almost impossible to overapply. When I use this I never experience that dreaded moment when you see yourself in bright daylight and, even though you applied with a light hand, you realize your bronzer looks totally obvious. Also, it has a slight shimmer but it's hardly obvious. So if you like the color of Hoola but want something more sheer this is probably a good bet. While I love this, I can see someone who has medium or dark skin getting frustrated with it trying to make it show up. Plus, since it's $50 you don't want to be using it up too quickly. Anyway, love it!

I had already purchased the #5 bronzer, but felt like I needed to own the #1 bronzer since that was the one everyone was raving about. I was super excited to try this product, but I can't seem to get it to show on my face. After reviewing all the positive reviews, seems like most people who love the product have fair skin. I'm #3 in their Face Fabric line, so I think this product is just too light for my skin to show. When brushed on my hand, all I can see is a super super sheer hint of gold, but no color change.

For $50, I think In need something with a tad bit more color. This will be going back as I have no use for it.

Too bad! I'm still undecided about #5, it shows slightly more. People aren't joking when they say how sheer this product is. I don't know if I have time to build up color every morning with multiple swipes.

This is a good bronzer - if you have fair skin!

I have a tan complexion and although this is nice, I have just used so much product each time just to make it show :(

Pros:
- no orange whatsoever
- buildable colour
- natural looking
- can use to contour and yet subtle enough to wear all over face for tanned glow

Cons:
- total product waste when you have tan skin. I have to countlessly swirl my brush in the pan to make it show decently on my face
- doesn't last all day on me
- sometimes gets a bit patchy?? After a few hours

Overall - it is a nice product, but I'm going to try NARS Laguna or Casino next time just for better pigmentation.

WHOA. This is my favorite bronzer, and it took me way too long to discover it. If you are looking for a non-orange non-shimmery natural-looking bronzer, this is it. Shade #1 is perfection. The packaging is sleek and perfect (as it goes for all GA products.) I apply this with the MAC 134 brush very quickly all over, and just can't go wrong. Looks great by itself, looks great over foundation, can be used to contour, it's just the best, it looks like a natural tan. And it's NOT even slightly orange. What I like about high quality products like this is that you don't have to put in a lot of effort to make it work, it just looks lovely on, no matter how rushed I am getting ready. I am NW20 for reference, so orange bronzer is always a concern for me, but Sheer Bronzer #1 is always natural and flattering.

This is a very light sheer bronzer and looks very natural. I am moving toward mineral makeup so will probably not buy again but for a non-mineral based powder it's pretty nice.

Correction: Haven't found a mineral based powder that looks as nice as this.

Great bronzer! This and Benefit's Hoola are my favorites. The Armani bronzer looks sparkly in the pan but when you put it on it looks pretty matte and doesn't make me look like a teeny bopper. The color is very realistic and doesnt give the look of obvious bronzer, but the look of spending the day in the sun. I've only had this for a few weeks, so I dont know how long it's going to last me. For the price, hopefully a very long time!

Great bronzer. Like the other reviewers, I too, found it scary dark in the pan, but it's beautiful, sheer, and sparkle-free when you put it on. I find that I have to be careful about putting it on as it is possible to overdo it (I'm super pale though).

This was my go-to bronzer, but I have fallen in live with the Guerlain Terracotta bronzer for blondes that gives me a warm healthy glow. I will still use this occasionally as it is an amazing product.

Beautiful, natural bronzer. It does look very dark but is lovely on the skin. One of the best ones out there. It is spendy (sigh) but it's gorgeous.

I agree with the majority. Scary dark in the compact, sheer & natural on a pale face. Like other Armani products, it's texture is sheer & silky allowing you to layer as you please.
Edit several years later - no longer can use this although I love the sheerness and the shade. Just too much shimmer to be flattering on me.

Pros: Goes on sheer, gives a lovely satin glow without being sparkly (nars, estee lauder, natio)
Not orange, or reddish dirty brown
Lightweight and blends well

Cons: Expensive!

Overall: Best bronzer i have used, as its a good colour for fair skin (NC20) and doesn't look powdery, greasy, orange or glittery. Buy this you will not regret the price!

I have changed my mind on this product after long term use. The bronzer is really good, HOWEVER, it does become super shiny in the heat or after a few hours - and I have dry skin! Particularly in flash photography it looks like disco ball shine. I would probably recommend this as a blush bronzer, not an overall bronzer otherwise you may look greasy

Lovely bronzer. I am confused as to why there are different shades listed here on MUA as when I purchased mine from Selfridge's they told me there was only one shade and it is #1. It is a lovely sheer bronzer for fair girls who don't want the oompa-loompa orange effect and just want to look sunkissed and healthy. I brush mine on with either a MAC 187 brush or a MAC 129 brush. Any face brush would do the trick though as it is practically impossible to over-do this...and I am fair skinned! It is very expensive, but I have to say, I do find that you get what you pay for with Armani cosmetics. Gorgeous packaging too and very sturdy. Just a hint of shimmer too (VERY subtle) so be aware that it may not photograph very well with flash photography.

Finally a bronzer that is not orange. Very expensive but oh so worth it. It looks amazing over top of the Face Fabric foundation. Will definitely repurchase.
