i found this at walmart...i believe it was a pack of 3 for less than $2...and it worked great!! when i went to buy more, they were out, so i tried the V05, which is a little more expensive for less product. it worked ok, but not near as well as the cheap suave.
my hair just gets fried from straightening and highlighting and swimming, but one treatment of the suave hot oil made it so soft, shiny, and healthy again. while it makes my hair soft, it doesn't make it flat and lifeless, either, like some other products do. this stuff could very well be the secret of life.

Yes! This is great for burnt out, dry, brittle hair and split ends. Soo cheap and it works like a charm!

I LOVE this hot oil treatment.. Cheaper and better than V05, and you get 3 tubes per box. I've noticed it's getting harder to find so last time I saw it I stocked up! Luckily they don't take up much room :)

I love this stuff, it really makes my baby fine hair soft and shiney. i use it every two weeks on sunday to start my week off with beautiful hair. when i first started to use it i would get compliments on my soft hair, well i still do after a year of use. and for the cheap price this stuff is definitly worth a try. i know i usually buy three packages just to keep some on hand...this is my HG. but like one of the other reviewers listed make sure to check the box to make sure you get all three of the tubes b/c sometimes one goes missing magically.

I love this stuff. but unfortunatly, in my city, all of the stores stopped carrying the product and i do not have access to it. It did wonders for my hair. I don't get split ends anymore and my hair is the longest that it has ever been. It is too bad that i can't purchase it anymore.

This is only a little more expensive than my TRESemme Self-Warming Hot Oil Treatment, considering how much oil you get. But it is very effective for extremely dry, hard, bleached/color treated hair. I don't think I'll have to use another one or any other moisturizing treatment for a long while, and I've only used one tube since buying the box of three the other night. It's very convenient for me to find in my area, unlike the TRESemme oil now. Will repurchase if I ever have to.

This stuff is a fantastic value for the price. It's a little difficult to heat all the way, but it leaves my hair incredibly soft and smooth. I was surprised by how well this stuff works, but I'm always going to keep some on hand from now on.

This stuff is the BEST! Use it hot or cold--it doesn't matter. You hair will be moisturized, clean and soft. I put it on as I get in the shower and later up. After I wash my hair and conidition it. I can finally run a comb through it. My hair is dreamy now!

Update! 12/26/04. The Suave hot oil is much better than the smelly Tresemme self-warming kind. It makes my hair softer and smoother. It does take a while to heat it up enough. I have thick hair a few inches past my shoulders and usually only need half a tube to get the job done. Love this stuff and its so cheap!

It didn't make my color-treated hair 2x stronger like it said it would. It made my hair soft and puffy. It ended up looking frizzy and my hair never usually does. I bought the moisturizing kind and dried my hair out more.

I've used the moisturizing formula. I have waist-length hair, that's normal-to-dry and never been colored. I heated up the tube in hot tap water, then applied the contents of the tube to my hair. Clearly, there was not nearly enough oil in the tube to coat my entire hair, so I just applied what I could to my ends. I let it sit on my hair for about a minute before rinsing. it took a while to all rinse out, but I think i'm just paranoid about that. Besides, any residue will be washed away when you shampoo your hair. I shampooed my hair and (this is the best part) I didn't even need to use conditioner. My hair was soft and smooth and detangled. I haven't not used conditioner in years!!! I was so impressed. I am sold on Suave hot oil. I like it even better than the Neutrogena and VO5 varieties (although they're both pretty great). I also can't believe the price for the quality. This is a definite gem!
WARNING!!!!! A word of caution to everyone, please make sure that the box you are buying has the correct number of tubes in it. This has happened to me twice now. I have gone to buy a box of hot oil treatment and there is a tube missing. I was supposed to get three tubes, and only two were in there. I suspect someone stole a tube, since these boxes aren't shrink-wrapped and are easily opened. Please check and make sure you are not getting ripped off!!! Just looking out for everyone :)

Got a box of this as an extra in a swap, and I decided to try it out because between coloring and heat styling my hair, it feels like doll hair. Yes, very attractive! Well, my hair is an inch or so past shoulder length but very thick and dry so I had to use all three tubes to coat my hair. I microwaved a mug of water for 1 minute and then plopped the tubes in for a minute. Yowzas, those suckers got HOT! The first tube almost burned my scalp, and when a little dripped on my skin, it was not cool. So I was careful with the other tubes. I wrapped my head in a towel and let it sit for a while. My hair did feel and look a little better after I washed it out, but I didn't notice a miracle change. But it's not bad stuff, and maybe if I do continue to do it weekly, I'll notice more of a difference.

Ok. im going to be doing the phytorelaxer index 2 in about a week so i needed something to make my hair stronger for when i do it. I used three tubes of this or one treatment. The ery first time i ever used these and my hair didnt feel like anything was done to it but hey my hair looks really good after i washed it and put all these products in it(JF frizz ease, sebastian potion 9, BTZ protein cocktail, and PM super sculpting glaze). I curls are fab! thank YOU thank YOU thank YOU thank YOU. oh wait i forgot. it is kinda hard to put this on yur hair since it can get everywhere but other wise. a true gem in the haircare industry.

Bought the 3 pack today and tried it as soon as I got home. I LOVE IT!!! I felt the difference IMMEDIATELY and seeing as how humid it is here in texas, i had no flyaways, and less hair in my brush after styling than I normally do. I would most def. reccommend this to anyone! I have thick thick hair as well.

I'm not sure about this. I didn't heat it up long enough and I don't think it penetrated my hair because of the styling products/hairspray. Perhaps I'll shampoo first the next time.

I bought the strengthening version. I couldn't decide between this and V05, but I got this because it is cheap. I was surprised when I used it because it worked so well! I could feel the difference immediately. My hair is in decent shape (not terribly damaged or anything) so I didn't notice a change in the way it looks, but my hair is much softer and silkier even after styling.
