Got a set of the Calm Shampoo and Conditioner BOGO for $12 at Target....can't say anything really good or really bad about this product...it was just "meh." Didn't do anything bad to my hair but didn't really do anything good. Hair feels and looks clean but there's no "wow" effect. The smell is OK but nothing fabulous IMO. I have smelled better from a 99 cent bottle of Suave. For these reasons, I will use up what I have left but I won't repurchase, even if I got another BOGO.

I'm really impressed with this product! I use the shampoo & conditioner together and I'm loving it so far. I was iffy about the conditioner because it seemed too runny, but it works great anyway. I noticed my hair was so smooth during and after my shower, and it dried so soft! Also, I have wavy hair that tends to turn into ugly, puffy waves when it's unhealthy. As soon as I used this my waves looked nice without any styling! So it must have made my hair healthy. I see the difference :)

Surprisingly fantastic!! I didn't expect alot from it because it seems light and watery but don't be deceived it really does condition and makes my hair soft. I got it for cheap at Ross two years ago and it has been a keeper.

i used this with the calm conditioner. after drying, it left my hair feeling oily and only got
worse as I continued to use the product. I thought this product left a lot of build up, but my stylist says its a light detergent shampoo. I kept the bottle to use on days my hair feels dry, but I don't really care for it. I prefer the clean feeling after a shampoo.

I really like the shampoo- it smells great, lathers and cleans fine too.

The conditioner, however, is watered-down and after using a ton of it, leaves my think, coarse hair as if I hadn't used conditioner at all. I can't even comb through it. I

f I hadn't lost my receipt, I would return it, but since the shampoo is nice, I will finish it and use a different conditioner. Would not buy again. If you have very thin, short hair, the conditioner might be useful...

My husband picked this out when I needed a new shampoo. My hair is blonde/blonde highlights, had aprox 4 mos of grow out. It was frizzy, and was a mess from being post-preg too. I have to say, it literally CALMED my hair. As it was just like a big bush, and it toned it down. We paid aprox $14 for it, which i wish it were cheaper, but it is a good size bottle.

I work at a Trade Secret/Beauty Express hair salon so we sell a lot of different hair products. I was immediately drawn to Rusk's Calm shampoo/conditioner line because of the amazing light scent. It also did wonders for my hair. After using both the shampoo+conditioner, my hair felt softer and healthier. It also lathers well, so you don't have to use a huge amount. Good stuff!

UPDATE: Even though it smells nice, I can't say the conditioner is working very well for my hair. It's really watered down. I prefer thicker, more moisturizing conditioners. So if you have fine hair, this might be the right product for you. However, if you have thick hair, it won't condition your hair very well.

I always keep a bottle of Calm shampoo in my shower, I use a lot of Bumble & Bumble products, but Rusk is always my backup. I've been using this shampoo for 4-5 years now on and off. It's a GREAT shampoo for any hair type, my cousin has very fine oily hair & she uses it. I have thick, dry & coarse hair and I can use this as long as I'm using a super rich conditioner, it's perfect.

I've used the shampoo and I'm not impressed. I got this free in a set and decided to try it out on my extensions which can get a bit frizzy due to overprocessing. It was very gentle, not drying and smelled nice but I didn't see any notable difference in my hair. Given a choice, I'll choose something different next time.

I had the good fortune of staying at a hotel that stocked sample sizes of Rusk Calm Shampoo, Conditioner and lotion in their rooms. All were great. I have thick, coarse, wavy/curly, color-treated hair...so good products can make all the difference. The smell was amazing and fresh, not overpowering. After one use of the shampoo and conditioner, I noticed my hair was less frizzy, super soft, and not flat. I find many "smoothing" product can take the fabulous bouce out of curly hair. But not Calm, my HG shampoo/conditioner. I plan on getting the full size when I run out of my usual stuff. The lotion was nice, nothing outstading, but a great scent. Note: I have been told to only purchase this product from a salon or salon supply store. Not sure if its true, but its a rule I follow. Rusk is pricey, but not outrageous for great hair!

Funny, I actually expected this to dry out my hair, but it left it extremely soft, silky and almost limp! This is definitely NOT a deep cleansing or volumizing shampoo, but I like it because it seems very gently. definitely "calming" for flyaways and frizz! I bought it because I loved the conditioner so much and the scent is amazing. I actually think the shampoo is more moisturizing than the conditioner-- and it's even more moisturizing than the Neutrogena Triple Moisture shampoo which I also use! I'm hoping it won't make my hair TOO limp, but for now it's so soft and silky. For reference, I have very thick but fine-stranded hair with some frizz and waviness on the underneath layers. I am looking for new shampoos since my old standby, Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat, is suddenly not cleaning my hair at all no matter how many times I lather (like big greasy spots). The Calm shampoo did get my scalp completely clean, just left my hair a bit flat. I will update.

It smells great, the shampoo is OK, but the conditioner doesn't work that well at all and leaves my fine hair limp.

I love this stuff! I use it with the CALM 60 second conditioner, and well its a perfect pair! It cleanses the hair really well without stripping it of its natural oils.. at least it feels that way anyway!! lol The smell is great and its not too expensive I just bought it at Target for $8.99 - and its the perfect size, I hate buying those HUGE bottles at the salon - These are pefect for at home AND travel! :)
TRY IT!

I strayed from this shampoo, and ran back to it! I have very thick, straight hair that can get quite dry, and my hair has never been so soft and shiny as it is with this shampoo (and then I use Physique deep conditioner). I tried to go organic with Avalon, but my hair was so static"y", and felt coated. Moved on to Garnier, still static. And no longer shiny. And dandruff-- which I have NEVER had before. I hit the blue bottle again, and perfection! I will never stray again, CALM.

It does smell great and lathers up with a tiny amount. I don't think great lather is necessarily a good thing in shampoo. It didn't weigh my fine hair down but it didn't do anything special, either. I'd buy if it was on sale but if I had it side-by-side with Dove...I'd reach for Dove.

i got a small bottle from somewhere and when that ran out i bought a big bottle because it smelled sooooo good. other than smelling good, i would say it doesn't do anything special, but nothing particularly bad. i only use it on special nights though when i know someone's going to be up close to me. my hair is thick, straight, and resilient, so i'm not too aware of the quality of a product very often.
