So just to frame this review, I have had hormonal acne problems all my life, I have been taking the pill for 10 years and that has rid me of the acne but my skin which used to be combo-ish, has become quite dehydrated from all the harsh topical acne treatments it has been subjected to since I was a teen.
I've been trying to re-hydrate my skin for more than 10 years with LRP - Avene - Lutsine etc but while they are really good products in general I never found that they were doing much difference to me, apart from not being to creamy so they didn't give me breakouts...
So somehow I ended up buying this Hydra-Flash cream (not a mask) and the very first time I put it on went a bit like a revelation.
At first I was a bit scared because it came out so creamy that I cringed thinking this is not a texture I want on my skin (scared of breakouts) but since I had forked out 125€ for this I was determined to try it.
And well I felt refreshed. I applied it and I felt my skin was drinking the whole cream up and feeling a little less tight already. I somehow felt that the flaky skin peeled off a bit. So I added a bit more a quarter of an hour later. :)
So it's a creamy textured moisturiser, it sinks in really fast so I can apply my make-up on it straight away. It leaves a matte finish but my skin still feels supple. I do get a bit shiny by the end of the day but nothing drastic.
The smell takes a bit of getting used to. At first I thought it was weird but now I really like it.
It's very expensive though so keeping that in mind I only use a pea-sized amount on my face. I use it every morning and at night I either use Hydra-Flash OR Emulsion Ecologique, depending on how my skin feels. I feel that a little goes a long way.
Now, a tube of Hydra-Flash later I am extremely happy with the outcome. My skin is not a 100% perfect of course but it is much better than it was when I started.
I'm def buying it again, and have decided to try the Hydra-Globale for the summer to see how it goes.

This does not so much to my skin compared to the other masks from Sisley... But the smell is nice and I like to use it as a moisturizer... But for a mask, no. There I prefer Black Rose at any time!

I like the cream but the packaging could be better. The hydration the cream gives is not enough for my skin in the winter.

I use this as a day cream because it leaves my face matte and soft for the whole day. It may not feel as "creamy" as other creams, but the fact that my face does not get very shiny throughout the day (as it usually does) indicates that it is doing a good job keeping my face well hydrated.
It does not contain SPF, but I use a light powder foundation with SPF on top so it is not an issue for me personally.

I have to agree with several others on here. I found this NOT VERY HYDRATING. In fact, I would hardly catagorize this as a moisturizer. It's very matte and has all the characteristics of a matte-primer. Goes on extremely thick, so you really have to work it in fast before it dries. The good thing is...., it did not break me out. Maybe that's due to the beta hydroxy acids it claims to have. Definately not worth the money Sisley is asking for. I wouldn't buy this again even if it was being sold for half price.

Thicker texture compared to Sisley hydra-global, much better hydration by comparison as well! It absorbs very well into the skin, leaving it hydrated and non-oily. However, I used this when I was traveling to one of the harshest weather locations in the winter, and it proved to be insufficient. It certainly helped, but it just wasn't enough. As of matter of fact, the combination of this and the Sisley hydra-global and the Sisley flower mask was not enough! If you live in mild weather zone, it might be a good choice. But I'm certain there are cheaper substitutes out there for what it does!

It's a lovely moisturizer, kinda thick, but sinks into skin immediately and leaves no oily/greasy residue, in fact it leaves skin almost matte, a very natural look. That matte effect doesn't last all day long tho, but definitely longer than other products that actually promise to keep skin shine-free. So thats a definitive bonus with this moisturizer/treatment. Hydration wise it doesn't make skin look/feel like it's drenched in moisture, but it keeps skin very comfortable and hydrated without that over the top feel, even when I use retinol and/or peels and my skin feels tight and uncomfortable, I just put on some Hydra-Flash and skin feels normal again. Scent is on the natural side, sort of like Sisleya creams, but with less rose, Hydra-Flash has a more spicy scent. Things that I don't like - 1. When I apply too much product, it tends to ball up, so I have to be careful about the amount I use, skin doensn't drink it all up, theres something in it that forms a film over skin instead of sinking in. 2. I don't get the usual glow like effect, I mean, skin does look fresh and all, but usually Sisley products give me uniform healthy glow/radiance. Hydra-Flash doesn't. As a moisture boost that doens't turn skin oily it works wonderfully, but thats it. I never tried using it as mask as Sisley suggests, maybe then it has more benefits.

This is what they promise:
Powerfully hydrated skin which regains its naturally soft, supple feel.
An intensive moisture bath that suits all skin types.
Hydra-Flash Formule Intensive incorporates a powerful complex of natural molecules, natural plant extracts (Rice, Sesame) and essential oils (Marjoram, Rosewood), selected for their potential to dramatically enhance cell cohesion and encourage improved moisture binding in the outer skin layers.
The result is super-power hydration that lasts over time.
- Skin quickly regains its naturally fresh, velvety matte appearance.
- Gradually, your face appears visibly smoother, with a more supple and youthful-looking skin.
I’ve been using this for a month. I immediately noticed that my skin is more moisturized, but during the first week of using this I experienced breakouts (nothing bad, no cystic acne, but I’ve noticed many whiteheads). I’ve considered to stop using the moisturizer but, since it’s so expensive, I’ve decided to stick with it and I’m glad. The whiteheads disappeared during the next week, and my skin look noticeably improved. The texture of the moisturizer is thick (like Lancome Primordiale), but pea-sized amouint is enough for me. I warm it up between my fingers and massage onto face. It feels heavy upon the application, but the feeling stops as it sinks in. After I apply it, my skin stays matte, but it lasts only for several hours, usually later during the day my skin becomes oily. I think this is good moisturizer for normal and oily skin, but dry skin should try something more moisturizing.
It can also be used as a mask, applied in a thick layer, for intensive hydration, but I haven’t tried it.
The moisturizer is very expensive (here it costs around $150/160), but not as much as the rest of the Sisley line, and it comes in 60ml tube. I will definitely repurchase it.

This product is a staple in my house! I use it only in the cold weather as it's too rich for me any other time. I usually apply it as a mask and tissue off the excess. I start on my forhead and work down to the neck. By the time I get to my neck, the product higher up on my face iss almost completely absorbed. It happens every time I use it and it really shows how dehydrated my skin can get. I usually never end up tissuing off any excess since there usually isn't any. My skin stays moist all day and never gets a greasy look. The exfoliation from beta-hydroxy acid and L-Serine are an added bonus. L-Serine also moisturizes as it gently exfoliates. Sisley's prices are outrageous in the U.S., but this is one of the few I buy from them and I find it to be well worth the price. Just wish it came in a pump dispenser!

I have combination skin that gets oily around the T-zone easily. This cream is rich, but doesn't break me out and I break out easily when I try using new products. It stays matt for a long time. I live in Hong Kong, and it gets hot during the summer, but this has worked for me really well, will definitely repurchase!

As I often say, Sisley is overpriced, overrated and overestimated!
That said, yes, Sisley carry good products (some excellent) but not worth the insane amount of money they ask you for them.
I have tried almost the entire line - as I have an overly kind friend who is a BA in a very posh perfumery, and refills me with loads of high end products (I know...lucky me!) so that's the way I know thoroughly the entire Sisley line!.
I happen to have used many sample sachets and many GWP tubes, which makes it up for an entire retail tube size.
Hydraflash is way too rich and greasy for my skin - I adore the herbal smell and the texture, though.
I have combo skin so I knew this could have been too heavy for me...
I used to to put it in winter after a day out in cold weather or in summer after a day sunbathing - and it really soothes your skin.
However, it broke me out each and every time I applied it, so I ended up using it for my body.
I very much like the Hydra Flash for the body, which is very similar - just less concentrated.
So give it a try if you have a dry skin (and if you can afford it), it may work for you!

This one is not cut out for me. I have combi skin and I live in hot high humid country. Too bloody greasy even for night time use and gives me acne and black heads. I won't recommend this for hot humid weather.

Oh, I love this stuff, especially the smell. It smells really clean and fresh to me, not perfumey. It goes on well---a little goes a long way, and it's never greasy or sticky. It has an exfoliator--Beta-hydroxyacid--so it could make some people peel if your skin is really sensitive. It doesn't cause a problem for me, and it smooths my skin really well. Love it!

love the rich texture of this cream....it's not sticky, it is just rich and creamy and it is fast absorbent. i actually like the herbal smell of the cream....it doesn't bother me. i wouldn't use it everyday though. it's a bit pricey.

This cream is great for air-travel after flying. It tones, freshens and calms that dry, irritated feeling you get from flying (or at least, I do!) I also use this during the Winter as a moisture-boost. There's a natural beta-hydroxy, so Hydra-flash is also great for exfoliating sensitive skin types. Sisley doesn't recommend using Hydra-flash daily; if you're looking for a daily moisturizer for dry/devitalized skin try new Hydar-Global, another great Sisley product!

I have been using this product for ages. I have combination skin however sometimes it tends to become dehydrated. The weather is very freaky right sometimes it is hot, rainy and at work there is the air condition which I really hate.I always end up feeling cold.I work in an office with men and they are always feeling hot all the year round . They say alot of excuses -I have to wear a tie, trousers bla bla bla so it is always chilly in the office . I use this in in combination with the ecological compound.I do not recommend this product for those people who have dry skin cause it is not enough.

I want to start by saying that this product delivered a fabulous result for me in terms of hydration and for that it gets it's 2 points. what really, REALLY disappoints me is that the label says BetaHydroxyacid, but this product actually does not contain BHA. No matter what spin you put on it it just isn't there. Shame on Sisley for misleading in this manner...
lol that aside though nice water binding moisturiser. Change the label and i will forgive you!!
p.s. Forgive me if i am incorrect about the BHA, my SA told me there is a naturally occuring and very mild BHA but from what i know about skincare there is only one BHA which is Salicylic acid and it is not in the list of ingredients anywhere so it is on that that i have based my review... !

It's perfect for my skin in winter time here in Italy. My skin is very very sensitive and dry and this cream is not too heavy nor too light. The final effect is mat and bright.
I'll surely buy'it again!
