For very very dry skin, this is a great product. I do find it has a rather strong scent and it doesn't sink in very quickly, but that is in line with it being a very rich moisturiser. I have the pump bottle which is great. I don't think I'll buy it again, just because I prefer Nivea soft, but this is a great for the price. Just wouldn't rave about it.

I like this one alot. I get drier skin during the Winter and this seems to be taking care of it. Formula is a bit thicker so it is very moisturizing, but also not too greasy. Absorbs quite easily into my skin, but best straight after a shower. Smells good too. No sticky residue either.

I'm reviewing the same lotion as the reviewer below (seems to be the same in NZ). I also agree with the reviewer below, this is marketed for very dry skin...so maybe it doesn't work as well if you're skin isn't very dry. Works great after shaving and I agree with everyone else...best to use this at night...it is very heavy...but feels great!

This is Marketed as "Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser for Dry to Very Dry Skin" (also called a body "milk" or "lotion") in Australia, so my review is for this product. Excellent. Been using this for many years and the formula has remained the same, I hope Nivea never changes it as it is the only product I can use on my legs after I shave them without causing stinging, itchy rashes or pimples. It has Vitamin E & Almond Oil, which work very nicely with my dry to very dry skin type. VERY moist, very silky, seems to keep skin moist for a very long time. Blends well with other products such as fake tans (if you wish to break them down a little, or even just as a pre-application for them). Thick & creamy. Great for leaving on as a special treat on feet with cotton socks on overnight, wake up with beautifully moist feet. Fantastic on dry elbows & heels. Smell is typical Nivea, but I can live with that. Nivea sometimes release this product in a 400ml pump here and that works best for me - in this pump bottle this product is 5 lippies all the way from me. Can't really fault it, however, if you do not like a moist feeling after application of a body lotion, then it may not be the product for you as it leaves the skin very moist. Reasonably priced at Supermarkets here in Australia too.

i think people who think this product is oily/sticky don't have very dry skin. and they are very lucky.
unfortunately i have very very dry skin. it is so dry that it developes brown spots(they are probably bunchs of very old dead skin cells but because my skin is so dry that it thinks they are useful to keep the moist in). if i use a light to normal moisturerizer, i would see my skin begin to wrinkle up after 10 min of applying. this product is thick and rich, but it nourishes well and make my skin feels normal(not tight or itch or hurt). so i can say it did an ok job.
but the only downside is that maybe its too nourishing so it encourages the growth of bodyhair(.......). which piss me off a bit

This review is for Nivea Nourishing Care Lotion. This lotion is thick, oily and sticky, I can't lie. But! Use it at night, try and wait an hour before going to bed, slather it on, wear some old shorts and a singlet, try and let it sink in and in the morning your skin will be beautiful and soft. It also gives your skin a beautiful glow, if used sparingly. Would not recommend this to be used in the moring before getting dressed...

Nivea make a great range of basic, yet effective lotions and creams, and this is no exception. The scent is light, clean and fresh and sinks in easily. It leaves my skin smooth and soft, with no dry patches. The price is great, as you get a huge bottle that will last you ages. Use this anywhere your skin needs extra nourishing and you'll be smooth all day. Even though the scent is pleasant, I prefer a lighter scent or none at all, but that's my personal preference. This lotion doesn't beat my favourite - Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion - but it still ranks as really good lotion that's great for everyday use to keep your skin looking healthy.

I just had to write a review on this - it has been the only lotion that has saved my alligator legs!!!!
I spent months searching the net for information on products for dry skin and spent hundreds of dollars on expensive skin oils and lotions... (including La Prarie, Clarins, etc.) yet little did I realise that the $5 bottle of Nivea Nourishing lotion for dry skin would be the BEST investment ever.
The lotion is intense and soaks in quickly, I actually really love that it leaves a slighty oily film on the skin, because it makes your skin look dewy and healthy, but NEVER overly sticky.
Great to use either day or night time, all over the body. Highly recommended, plus what can you lose, its cheap!!!

This is a good, basic moisturiser for a great price. Very thick so doesn't spread very easily but moisturises well and great value for money

The only ideal time to lather this on is after you’ve had a shower/bath, any other time; the lotion absorbs too quickly into your skin, leaving it feeling (slightly) sticky and a tiny bit oily. Sadly, even though it absorbs, you get the feeling that your skin is dry because it still feels uneven/rough (partly due to the stickiness). The only time my skin felt supple was after I showered and applied it. If my skin was dry when I applied it, it still felt slightly dry afterwards. It might have just been the feel of it. Who knows, this lotion might’ve even been a good moisturizer and it may just have been the feel of it that was disagreeable. But there are so many moisturizers out there that even if this does work, why choose it if there are bound to be better ones that both nourish your skin as well as allow you to FEEL it?

My HG body lotion. This cured my itchy scaly shin that i had for years in one month, but i worked hard and did slather this on twice a day. Now, i have smooth soft legs which i havent seen for the past 7 years.

Love it! It moisturizes well, leaves skin nice and soft, love the scent. It does seem a bit heavy when I put it on, but it sinks in. My favourite body lotion, will buy forever.

One of the best lotions I've used and inexpensive! Great for girls that go tanning, keeps your skin really smooth and silky! During the time that I go tanning I use this lotion at night and put it all over my body and the results are wonderful! Its not greasy and a great moisturizer! Keeps my skin glowing and healthy looking and we all know tanning can have some negative effects on our skin like extreme dryness! This one does the job all year round! Great product!

I bought this after running out of my favourite moisturiser, and I was too poor to purchase anything more expensive. At AuD$8 it was a steal and you get quite a large bottle too.
The actual lotion is a medium-thick sort (not like body butter) but is quite nourishing for dry skin. It contains a very very subtle hint of fragrance (almond oil i think). I have dry skin and i found this be quite nourishing, although not as rich as body butters.
I did however put some on my combo-skin face and it gave me a little shine so i wont be doing that again! Overall, its a fairly good buy and at that price, you can't really go wrong :)

Although this is heavy when you put it on, it gives you the most sensationally soft, moist skin you've ever felt.

I got two 20 oz. bottles for only $8 at BJ's. This stuff is great. I love the smell and my skin feels so soft. I am definitely going to buy this again.
