I love this stuff! I've been using this for many years. I've tried other cleansers, but this, by far, is the BEST. It is also a great makeup remover, even for the eyes. It takes off everything and leaves your skin feeling clean and glowy. Also, your skin may feel really "tight" so be sure to use a moisturizer after. The price is reasonable and is great for traveling. One bottle lasts really long since only verrrrry little is needed each cleansing time. The only thing that I would like this product to improve on is the plastic bottle that it comes in. It does its job well, but not aesthetically pleasing.

I have used this powder in the past and usually have a bottle at home for travel or for when my skin is particularly oily. I put a little powder in my hand and mix it with water until I get some lather and then use that to wash my face. I do agree that it can be a bit drying if overused or not mixed with water before putting it on my face.

I mostly use this for travel since it's a powder and doesn't have to take up precious space in my plastic baggie. I've tried other powdered face washes such as the discontinued one from the body shop and this one is so much more finely milled. No big grains, just very soft white powder that foams up well and feels silky on the skin. The price is pretty cheap and I haven't noticed any irritation, drying or break outs. It seems to clean adequately, so no problems leaving a film or not getting make up or sunscreen off. The container is a cute, but slightly bulky flip-top that has worked fine for me in the shower. I haven't had any problems with the powder inside getting wet or anything. But I don't keep it in the shower except when using it. I'll keep repurchasing this as long as DHC sells it. I may even start using it as my regular cleanser if I ever use up all my other ones.

My skin is far from being considered sensitive, but this face wash made my skin super red and it burned like crazy. It didn't lather up at all, and didn't really feel like it left my face clean. I definitely will not be repurchasing this!

Like so many other reviewers, I use this in conjunction with the daily cleansing oil from DHC at night to take off all my makeup. I think without this first step this washing powder might be too drying, but together they work very well. I dont know that I would repurchase because there are so many other cleansers I still want to try, but this is a nice one that lathers and cleans well. I could see this being too stripping for dry skin. It is cheap has lasted 6 months with daily use.
*EDIT* I have to knock off a star because this is just too drying for my skin, and I have oily skin! Hubby likes it though.

This works great as a cleanser, very mild and softening on the skin, but I couldn't breathe around it. It irritated my lungs and aggravated my asthma. I wish I could use it, but it is just not worth the lung irritation.

I actually like this wash better than the Desert Essence Facial Wash I've been using. I shake about 4 or 5 times of this stuff into my hand, add a few drops of warm water to lather it up and wash away. But FYI; just remember to mix it well so you don't accidently breath the powder in. I've done this a couple of times.

I use this in conjunction with DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil (which I also love) and my face washes completely clean. I wonder what took me so long to try this great product. I actually look foward to using it every morning and night!

This product is great! I use it twice a day to cleanse my face. It does a great job and I love watching it go from a powder to a foam. I think it's a good alternative to Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant which costs $50 in comparison to $10 for the Washing Powder, but contains similar ingredients. My face always feels smooth when I'm using this cleanser, and I only use my hands to wash my face (I bought the DHC washing puff, but it's a little awkward to use due to its size). A little goes a long way; I've been using my bottle for a few months now and have a lot left. It's also lovely to travel with since I don't have to worry about liquid leaking anywhere and the bottle is a nice size. I might not recommend it to people w/dry skin as it's not super moisturizing, but for normal to oily skin it's pretty effective. Will continue to buy this!

I agree, I love this stuff. My cleanser travels a lot with me & this is the best I've found; however, I just went on the website to re-order & it is on clearance (good news for price). If they discontinue this cleanser I really don't know where else to turn for a simple cleanser that doesn't break me out.

This is one of my HG cleansers for my oily, acne prone skin. It lathers well, and has papain, a mild exfoliant--perfect! So easy to use and travel with.

I am a repeat buyer but do not use this regularly. It is great during the change of seasons when you want gentle exfoliation and deep cleaning. If you are dry, it will make you drier. If you are oily, you will love it. If you are normal, you will need a richer moisturizer. This comes in a pop top bottle that dispenses a scent free and color free powder into your hand. You mix it with water and it forms a thick paste with creamy mild lather. Reminds me of Boraxo Powdered Hand soap from childhood. Get it on sale and it is not too unreasonable in price. A little goes a long way.

I don't know about this one, ladies. I have been using DHC's washing powder for about two weeks and, although something about cleaning with powder seems retro to me, it provided satisfactory results. I will say that it foams nicely, cleans well, and does not leave my face "tight." But, I did notice in the past week some mild irritation all over my face. I started using this with the deep cleansing oil, so I couldn't tell which was the culprit. But because my face has been extra oily lately for some reason, I blamed the oil and stopped using that one daily. However, tonight while I was washing with the powder, I noticed some stinging as I was rinsing it off. I do have slightly sensitive skin, but not to the point where a product has completely broken me out or even stung. So, this was a first! I'll see if it ends up breaking me out tomorrow, but chances are I won't buy this again. I may even hold on to the bottle... maybe use it for travel. But I just can't see this being my HG cleanser, so I'll be going back to foams!

I love this stuff. You put a little powder in your hand and it lathers up to a very gentle cleanser that cleans well but doesn't strip my skin at all. The fact that it's not liquid and isn't a problem when flying is a big plus. I use the Deep Cleansing Oil first to remove makeup, and then I use this powder with my Clarisonic brush. This is my favorite DHC cleansing combo. Even though their soaps and soapy cleansers are gentle, they tend to remove too much oil from my skin, and with super dry skin, I don't have any oil to spare. This washing powder is perfect for me.

This product is great in a pinch. No long rituals - however I prefer other methods, like creamy lotion cleanser, for most of the time. You do feel nice and clean.

I thought i'd try this due to being a BIG DHC fan and the good reviews on MUA. I have no complaints really, it is a nice simple, creamy face wash which doesn't dry my sensitive acne prone skin out. Also doesn't make me break out. DHC mild soap bar dries me out if I use every day but this seems ok. Good for travelling as no leakage and the bottle is ok.
It is good when used after the Cleansing oil as you feel super clean after but it hasn't topped Avene Cleanance yet. This is a no frills product IMO, simple but effective - good value for money and a bottle will last a long time. I think that people with normal skin would benefit from using this as my acne prone face requires something tailored to getting rid of congestion.

This is an excellent cleanser for the morning. It is gentle, rinses clean but not squeaky and non-drying, despite foaming up (very little). The price did go up a bit. It is $10 for 1.7oz. I thought I would hate the bottle and have a hard time dispensing the proper amount, but it's actually not so bad. The hole at the top is fairly small, so you are not getting a gush of powder out at once. I would definitely repurchase again, hopefully on sale next time.

I love this stuff. Oh sure, it whisks off every last bit of makeup - even my mascara - and it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, not tight or dry...but I think the main reason I buy it is simply because of the novelty! I don't use a sponge as recommended, I whip up the foam in my hands just so I can experience the metamorphosis from dry powder to an almost silky handful of suds. It's not quite magic...but almost!

DHC Washing Powder is an excellent cleansing powder to use following DHC Deep Cleansing Oil to leave skin feeling clean and supple, not dry or oily. ♥ (HK$66)

I LOVE this stuff. I have bought it over and over again, and will continue to do so. The package is nothing fancy- it comes in a white plastic bottle with a blue flip up lid. Very functional, which is fine by me. The powder easily pours out- you just add a little water. It is very creamy, and cleans all the makeup off, without drying your skin out. I use it with my Clarisonic, and the two of them combined pack a powerful one-two cleansing punch! It is definitely a staple in my beauty regimen.
