Dove Beautifully Clean Shampoo is a lovely, gentle shampoo that is perfect for those with normal hair. I remember trying this when I had a really itchy, oily and irritated scalp. This shampoo just wasn't the right one to soothe it, but now that my hair has normalized and is now balanced and healthy, thanks to Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp, I can use this without any irritation. I still get oily roots and need to wash my hair every other day, but I actually use this with a small dollop of my Head & Shoulders mixed together on my hand. I then follow up with Dove Beautifully Clean Conditioner. I'm left with a gentle, thorough cleanse and a completely soothed scalp. I love the way this combo makes my hair all soft and shiny and the makes it bouncy and healthy.

This is my old time favorite. I've tried many other more expensive brands..and always come back to this. It leaves my hair shiny and soft. Feels very clean and never sticky. luv!

I think this is one of the best shampoos I have used lately. It leaves my hair clean and soft. The scent is light and pleasant too. I haven't had a problem with it drying out my hair or leaving it "sticky". Instead it has smoothed my frizzy, wavy hair. I would buy it again.

bleh!!! my hair was really rough using this... not shiny at all!! it caused my hair to be oily as well...

It didn't leave my hair as soft as I expected. I found that it left my hair a bit dry and not very manageable. It was still shiny and nice-smelling (a very clean scent) though but overall for texture, not so great.

This product did leave my hair "beautifully clean" as it was soft, smooth, silky and tangle free. But the smell just killed this product for me, it's just awful chemicals and impossible to get off your hands afterwards.

Beautifully Clean is a decent shampoo but I cannot get it to lather very well. I have long hair and end up using a sizeable palmful in order to get suds throughout my scalp in my thick hair. Because of that, I burn through a bottle pretty quickly. Scent is nice though.

Left my hair VERY soft and manageable, just like the commercial. Had to switch shampoos though because I dyed my hair and it not good for colored hair.

I started with the Voluminous Color Care shampoo from Dove. While I adored the scent and that it made my hair super soft, it made my scalp itch like crazy! I had to use a clarifying shampoo every couple of days. I have normal to oily hair (thanks to pregnancy). I decided to give this a try. Works beautifully! Love the stuff. No itchy head and doesn't strip at all. Will repurchase.

I've used this for some time now and waited to write a review. You know how when your try a new shampoo it almost always does a good job because it's something that your hair isn't used to? Well i've been using this shampoo for over 6 months now so I feel it's time to write out my review.

I've bought every shampoo in the book at every price point and this one is the one that works the best. It gives my fine/oily/mega thick hair so much fluffiness and body it's not even funny, plus the smell is amazing: so clean and nice. I use Neutrogena's anti-build up shampoo on sundays and this the other 6 days. I've finally found my holy grail of shampoo!

Pro's: Smells nice, and leaves my hair feeling clean. The price is acceptable for the amount and quality of the product. My hair is very very healthy looking, as if I used a high-end salon product. I see highlights which I thought were never there, but it could be from the conditioner???

Con's: leaves hair a bit raw feeling, and unfortunately the conditioner doesn't do much to smooth it out. Also, I find my hair to be quite flat. It's acceptable if I'm going for the straight look, but that's about it. And I don't like the way my hair feels afterwards. Its not soft nor detangled, but I guess I can blame that on the conditioner??

Verdict: I'll probably buy shampoo/conditioner again from Dove, but not this specific product. But also, I haven't even used half the bottle. So who knows? Maybe over time my hair will improve with more washes, and if it does I'll definitely come back and give an update.

When I saw this shampoo was cream colored I was skeptical at using it since clear shampoo's are better for oily hair. It did a moderate job at cleaning my hair. Im still on the hunt for finding a better product.

This seems like a good shampoo, particularly for the price. I wanted something that just cleaned hair without leaving deposits behind. I don't have particularly oily hair, but I only wash it every other day, so I like a deep cleaning shampoo. This lathers quite well and cleans without making the hair feel stripped. The scent is strong in the shower, but dissipates a bit after the hair is dry. In combination with the Intense Moisture Conditioner, this shampoo makes my hair fluffy and soft. My hair type is straight but full and somewhat coarse (not colored). UPDATE -- I've been using this shampoo for about three months now and couldn't be happier. It makes my hair very soft and full and doesn't give me buildup or an itchy scalp (or dryness). I think most people have just normal hair, but think their hair has "special needs," so that's probably why they choose the volumizing or moisturizing shampoos instead of the normal hair versions like this one. At any rate, I like it a lot and will keep buying it. It's usually on sale somewhere for about half price.

This is a fabulous product for oily hair. Dove hair products are the best drug store products out there for my hair type, fine and oily, so i can't speak for dryer types.

The volume I get from Dove shampoos beats John Frieda, Pantene, and every other drugstore brand and some higher end brands too. This is a def. staple for me for years to come.

I really like this stuff! My boyfriend uses this...I used his a while ago when I didn't have my shampoo with me, and it works extremely well! I have dandruff and some products make my scalp itch, but this didn't. I did not use conditioner (which I always do) and barely needed a spray on conditioner. If I didn't need dandruff shampoo I'd use this all the time!
I gave the price a 3 since I don't know how much it costs.
I wish Dove would make a dandruff shampoo, and maybe styling products....but the Beautifully Clean stuff is great!

Hate this stuff. I dont really have oily hair, but it does get a tad bit every now and then. well i used this the other day and when i went to work my hair was dry like straw and my hair was so dry that it was staticy all the time. Now i know that this is for normal to oily and trust never have a problem with using different kinds of shampoo, but this stuff is really drying. Where the heck are the moisturising benefits that at least make your hair a tad bit soft without it being greasy? Obviously there werent any for me. This just left the ends of my hair severly tangled ACK! Stay away from this stuff and get something better.

I like this product. I had a time where I had limpy, oily hair that wouldn't wash off. I used this once, and I like it because my hair looks balanced--not oily--not too dry. I really like it, but it is too expensive, which is why I have not bought it again, but I will sometimes in the future.

I love the scent of this shampoo, but it did not get my hair very clean. By evening my hair would be stuck to my scalp it was so oily. Will not repurchase.
