This eyeliner is awesome but I hate the brush! I prefer a thin winged look but this brush makes it impossible. Itís so long and the bristles are too thick and it picks up too much product. Keep in mind I am a ďwinged eyeliner beginnerĒ but other short slim brushes make it soooo much easier. Itís very pigmented and dark and best of all its completely MATTE. I also like that itís not waterproof and the price is a steal at $3. What I have been doing is shaping my desired line with my elf eyeliner and then I go over it with this eyeliner. Itís so much faster than having to hassle with this brush. The product itself minus the brush is amazing and thatís why I will repurchase.

Some people call this their Holy Grail. I call it my Holy CRAP! Its streaky, it smells funny and stings if my face gets wet in any way. I thought I may have a bum tube so I go another and one for my sister. It happened again and she had the same problem.

I generally prefer felt tip liquid liners, but as long as there is not too much product on the brush, it's fairly easy to achieve a thin, smooth line and a cat eye. This does create a rich, deep black, bold line, that wears well throughout the day. Just make sure it's dry, because it doesn't dry immediately like some others. This only cost me $2.75, which is a great price for a good performing liquid liner.

There was SO MUCH hype about this product on youtube so I thought I'd give it a shot. I also found it funny because I've been using this company for years (but not this product) and just now, people are giving it attention.

I think I paid about $3 or $4 for this, I don't quite remember. It was way cheaper than most of my other makeup, that's for sure haha. But, don't let the bargain price fool you.

I'm not gonna lie- I did not like it at first. I thought the brush was a little too thick and didn't exactly come to a point at the tip, which make it easier to do a nice wing for those of us who have not yet perfected the art of the wing. The brush also picks up A LOT of product- if you don't wipe of the excess around the rim of the bottle, it will smear badly and also end up on your lower lash line. However, now that I got used to using it, I find myself reaching for this more than my gel eyeliner. It lasts all day/night without much smudging. The color pay off is very good- it goes on very black and opaque. It actually is possible to do a nice winged liner look, again you just have to control of how much product is on the brush.

Overall, I really like this liner and when I run out, I will definitely buy it again! I would say just be sure to wipe of the excess on the bottle rim to avoid a mess.

Funny story, back in high school this was my HG product. I could just use this and no mascara, and be happy. It is super liquidy, fine tip tiny brush, and has the tinniest amount of shimmer. The worst thing about this eyeliner is how bad it smudges and flecks off into your eyes. I remember using this and rubbing my eyes, and looked like the dog off the little rascals with the big black circle around my eye. How embarrassing, right? Wrong! Once at work, I was sweating so bad, this stuff was running down my face like I had just had a major cry session. In closing, this might be for girls just starting out with makeup to play with, may even be good for theatrical makeup for the nice fine tip brush.

I picked this up on a whim last week after reading the super-helpful review right before me -- I too have round almost-hooded eyes and curly lashes that get in the way and I just had to try it, especially after spending a morning swearing at the expensive and disappointing Marc Jacobs Blacquer pen. So far, so good! The brush is perfect, nice and long to get behind the lashes and not too floppy or stabby like a lot of brush applicators tend to be. I can't remember the last time I actually liked a brush that came with a liquid eyeliner! I took off a lippie because sometimes the product on the plastic non-brush part of the applicator gets on my eyelashes, but as long as I wipe it off before I start lining then it's not really that big a deal.

The color is also phenomenal, and in a comparison between this liner and the MJ, this one is both glossier and darker. For $2.99 vs. thirtysomething bucks, if you're looking for a glossy eyeliner, there's no contest.

I do wish it was waterproof, because I'm not sure how this is going to hold up on its own in the Texas heat, but if all else fails I can put it on over a waterproof one like Kat Von D's or Stila's just to get that nice color and shine.

Many thanks to the previous reviewer for clueing me in to this gem! :D :D :D

I'm surprised I never picked this up. I've tried a ton of drugstore and high end liquid liners and haven't been excited by any of them. I've tried pen/marker and brush versions but never had any luck creating wings. I guess I can blame it on my eye shape. I have small round eyes that are slightly deep set and starting to hood with age. My right eye lid is looser and droops down a bit more than the left side. Now let's talk about my lashes. I have short but naturally very curly lashes. They curl back enough to touch my lids. They are always in the way no matter what liner I use. They are more of a pain when I try to use a liquid liner. With the New York Color liquid liner, creating a winged look is very easy! The brush that comes with this liner is the key to solving all of my liner problems. The brush is stiff enough to fight the battle with my lashes and get really down there on my lash line. However, not too stiff causing skips in the line. The brush is also the perfect length (on the short side) for my eye shape. I can't deal with those liquid liners with long floppy brushes. As for the color, it dries to a completely matte jet black. I love this liner so hard. I would have never picked this up if it wasn't for watching Nicole Guerriero use this for one of her winged liners looks.

I use this over a pencil liner every day, and it lasts all day. This dries quickly and creates a bold black line and does not smudge or flake during the day. The brush is kind of too long, so I usually cut mine down when I get a new tube, so it's easier to work with. It's really good, especially considering the price, which is why I tend to repurchase over and over. Another good, cheap liquid eyeliner, is WetnWild's Megaliner.

Best eyeliner ever. I used the stila liquid liner pen for a while and liked it, but it dried out and started being a little transparent faster than I would have liked so I bought this one on a whim to replace it and fell in love. It's a little tricky to work with and requires more skill than a pen would, but it's not so much the actual packaging as just the amount of practice you have and trust me, the practice is worth it.
Goes on very smooth, no pulling on the eyes and dries totally matte. It will wear off if you rub your eyes but as long as you leave them alone it'll stay on pretty much until you take it off. And it's only like $4 which just makes it that much better. I'm obsessed with this stuff!
