There are three different 'rebalancing' oils and for my highly sensitive combination skin I picked the Lotus oil which is meant to purify the skin, refine pores & reduce oil production. I must admit I was wary. Oil on already oily skin? But I took a leap of faith & spent the 36,99 Euros for 30 ml of product. It has to be applied on clean but moist skin, so I use a little bit of thermal water spray before warming four drops of oil in my hands and then dabbing it on. This is how it's supposed to be applied. You actually get a manual with the bottle, so there. The Lotus oil contains essential oils which may cause allergies so, like I said, I was wary but just desperate enough to still try it. Also, I'm only using it in the evening because I need a day cream with SPF.
Now this oil didn't work for me over night, like it did for many others. There's a German website with 77 reviews and a total of 4,6 stars out of 5 – they're raving about it and how it's redefining the skin basically over night. That didn't happen for me but after four weeks now I can clearly say it works. Yes, my enlarged pores have become smaller than I ever imagined they could be. My skin doesn't get all shiny by noon anymore, like it used to be. It's also not as angrily red anymore – infact, it's not red at all. But (you knew there would be "but"s): it took my skin a while to come around. At first this oil broke me out & I am still having hormonal break outs every now and then that even this oil can't help with. But sticking to my routine was worth it, afterall. I must say this was money well spent, considering the fact that I only need four drops per day, the bottle will probably last me a year or so. A hormonal break out is a hormonal break out – no skin care ever helped against that and Clarins never said this oil would so I'm not blaming this on them. Since it delivers everything it says, I'm giving this oil five lippies. And in case you're planning to get yourself a bottle and it also doesn't work over night: don't give up after a week or two. Stick with it. Apparently the skin needs just this time to readapt. I'm sold & I'll buy again.

I've tried many oils, and so far this is the only oil that definitely HYDRATES and keep my skin balanced! I really feel as if it soaks in well. I use 3 drops am and pm and really press and melt it into my skin with my hands. Smells luxurious.

I have have this product for almost a year and my bottle had lasted such a long time. I have it for my combo acne prone skin and it seems to rebalance everything so well when used correctly. Less is more with this product and iv recently learnt to mix it with my vitamin c serum had worked so well in clearing up a break out I had over two nights. Will be repurchasing this product.

Best skin care product for my combination skin. I only use couple drops per day on the oily T-zone. It reduces black heads & minimizes pores. This bottle probably will last couple years. Highly recommended.

This oil is beautiful! It smells lovely, feels lovely, hydrates my skin and really does help balance out my oiliness HOWEVER I feel like it hasn't made such an amazing impact on my skin to repurchase once I run out. Yes I would say my skin is defiantly more normal/ oily now (although my clarisonic has played a large part in this) and my pores look smaller, it hasn't exactly helped clear up any pimples or reduce any old acne spots which I was hoping it would help with a little bit. Also I think the price is a little excessive for the oil. I was using A'Kins Rosehip oil before this and also loved it and it is only $20 for 23ml, while Clarins is $50 for 30ml! Plus the packaging really annoys me, the bottle makes it look like you are getting a ton of product but they have been very sneaky and used extra thick glass in places! The bottle looks like a 50ml but you are only getting 30ml! It just comes off as if they are trying to tick me -.-

Amazing, amazing! I'm not going to get tired to repeat how much in love I am with this product! I have been using it for one week now and it made a difference.. I use benzoyl peroxide for my acne skin which drys me out horrible around my chin and cheeks but makes my forehead and nose super oily! I do not know even know how it is possible.. Within one hour of washing my face my t some would become so oily that is embarrassing. This treatment helped to balance out the oil. It still gets oily but not to that extend!.. It also helps me with the dryness around my mouth.. My skin is still no perfect but there is defiantly a progress!

Like everyone else with oily, acne-prone skin, I was skeptical about using an oil on my face. But after reading reviews, I decide to give it a try.
I came across this when my skin was going through a really bad time. It was breaking out terribly, super red and inflamed. It was physically and emotionally painful. I was desperate. I was using Murad and Kate Somerville products and believe I was treating my skin with too many active ingredients. More isn't always best when trying to treat acne.
So I quit using the harsh products and decided to give Clarins a try. I went to my local Clarins counter and picked up the Tamarind cleanser, Chamomile and Iris Toniques (I love both!), and the Lotus Oil.
The Lotus Oil is amazing. I now use it morning and night instead of a moisturizer. This does not leave me greasy or oily. It really seems to hydrate and moisturize my dehydrated patches along my cheeks and jaw while balancing the oiliness of my forehead and chin. I use about 5 drops and press them into my skin, starting at my problem areas first. My skin doesn't flake nearly as much and because it is 100% plant oils, I can use this two or three times a day and not worry about reactions.
I really love to mist my face with the Chamomile Tonique (I moved it to a bottle with a spray cap) and while my skin is still damp, I press the oil into my dampened skin. So luxurious!
The smell is very herbal which might bother some, but I find particularly comforting and refreshing. Very spa-like.
I love the glass dropper bottle that the Lotus Oil comes in. It is so chic-looking on my bathroom skin next to my other Clarins products. I definitely will not ever be without this product.
For a real treat, add a couple of drops of this oil to your daily body lotion! It's too expensive to do this every day but is great before a date or special event.

HG alert! Adore this oil. I have combo dehydrated skin with a history of horrendous hormonal acne. I overhauled my skincare the last four or five months and this has been one of my staples. Beautiful and heavenly- two drops applied after serum and before moisturiser and my skin is balanced, pores reduced and for the first time in my life I glow rather than shine. This doesn't break me out at all and is lovely to use. I also have the Blue Orchid oil as I do get very dehydrated and I like to switch depending on my skin. This sits just fine even if used in the day and doesn't 'upset' my make up which some oils can do. Lovely product, worth every penny!
