I feel guilty giving this product only three stars because it is the ONLY mascara I can use that doesn't make my eyes tear and I should be grateful for it, and really I am. It's just that I would never buy it if my eyes could handle other brands. It goes on really thin and you really have to work to get any volume with it. But I am truly thankful I at least have this as I have not been able to tolerate any others.

This was my go-to mascara for years. I have since found a MUCH more affordable substitute a haven't used Full Story in a long while but would definitely come back to it if anything happened to my new HG (Reviva Labs).

Origins Full Story has a fairly thin consistency, which I prefer, and is easy to apply. A single coat gives a nice my-lashes-but-with-color look and the formula is easy to layer for a more extreme look without clumping. There is a bit of lengthening but the aim is more toward volume. While I wouldn't say this mascara will make individual lashes look any thicker, I do notice it helps to keep them all separated and pointing in the right directions so the overall look is volumized. You won't get a false lash look, you'll get a soft, I-have-a-whole-lot-of-lashes look. If that makes any sense.

I have never experienced eye irritation while wearing this mascara or any lash loss - which I tend to get if mascaras dry out and get "crunchy" on my lashes, which this one does not.

Overall a great product! As mentioned, I prefer a cheaper option but if they ever reformulate or discontinue my current favorite, I would certainly consider returning to Origins Full Story.

I got this as a sample and wouldn't buy it again. I naturally have very black long lashes so dont need much help re blackness so I dont know how this would perform on someone with blonde lashes. For me it did nothing, when you apply it makes the lashes look feathery and light, it would never cause clumps and goes on very smooth, but that's about it... it doesnt build volume or length at all. Just makes them slightly fluttery and pretty and leaves with a natural look. Kinda pointless really as its hardly any different to my normal lashes.

I got a miniature of this as part of a gift set of Ginzing eye cream along with a mini lipgloss duo.


I had no expectations for this and was amazed it didn't transfer onto my lower lid unlike almost every other mascara I've tried!


It doesn't clump and one layer of it gives me my lashes but better - totally natural looking!


I would totally repurchase this... if not for the price. I've tried Max Factor 2000 Calorie and it gives me similar effects and I'm about to try Max Factor False Lash Effect, both of which are around half the price of this.

I really like this mascara! I've been using it for a few weeks, and haven't experienced any flaking or under-eye circles (for the most part). I'm a contacts-wearer, too, and don't find that this irritates my eyes at all! It's not super dramatic, and I'd stick with one coat (because when I did two coats it seemed to clump just a bit), but with that in mind, I highly recommend it! It's animal-friendly & has a decent ingredients list. :)

I love this mascara because it is strictly for volume. I was born with a decent set of lashes, so I am always on the lookout for a perfect voluminous mascara and this one does what it says, but again, it takes patience and practice. Don't expect to have perfect lashes in one swipe. You will really need to work with this product and this sounds weird but this one, like many mascaras, gets better after about the first week and a half of daily use. I feel that lashes have to get used to any formula that they are newly exposed to. So if you seek a gentle but good volume mascara with impact and you give your lashes more than two minutes in the morning, because this may take up to four minutes to work in, then you will like this. I use at least three coats per day and the tube lasted a solid two months. I love this but I also love Origins.

I've never had clumping issues with this masscara. It defines my lashes nicely and volumizes too! The packaging is really pretty and the brush is very nice.

This mascara clumps on my lashes. It has a nice black color, but that's about it. Doesn't give length or much volume, just clumps..and when i try to use a clean brush to remove the clumps, it comes off.

This mascara doesn't do anything remarkable. I do appreciate that it doesn't clump, but it didn't do anything interesting to my lashes. That said, I got it in brown, not black. Maybe the black would be more dramatic?

okay so this is the FIRST mascara that i ever used... it is gorgeous! full story gives me thick, defined, and long lashes! sometimes when i look up my eyelashes get into my eyebrows! they actually get sky high and beautiful volume! my lashes are never clumpy with this! apply one or two coats for pretty lashes and a third or fourth for a more dramatic look. but no matter how much you apply it wont clump!! LOVE i just dont like the packaging very much and although the color is very black it could be blacker.... all in all this is THE mascara to get i am in loveee....
p.s. i capped it so tight the top broke and it is drying out...i need a new one but before that i will try Stila's MAJOR Major Lash Mascara.

As far as NATURAL-LOOKING mascaras go, this is absolutely an HG. It does exactly what a mascara is supposed to do: makes my lashes long, full, clump-free and darker, and it holds a curl well. It doesn't scream "I'm wearing mascara" and it's easy to apply. One or two coats does the trick for great lashes; a third coat add a *little* more drama. It won't give you a false lash and/or spidery lash look, but it's great for looking everyday beautiful, or even for nice dinner/date.

A nice bonus about this mascara is that even though it's advertised as a volumnizing mascara [Fringe Benefits is their lengthening mascara] it still lengthened really well too.

If there was one thing I could change about it, I would just make it a blacker black. I have brown skin, so blacker mascaras are best for making my lashes standout against my complexion.

**UPDATE*** Having used this mascara a few times now, I still like it in general, but have come across one kinda big drawback: a LOT of lashes come out when I remove it. Same thing with their 'Underwear for Lashes' primer. There must be some kind of glue-like ingredient in their lash products.

This leaves my eyelashes feeling like mink. Okay maybe I exaggerated a little, but my point is that this is the only mascara I have tried that doesnt make my lashes HARD and unnatural looking. Most people just think I have naturally beautiful lashes when Im wearing this (I enjoy portraying natural beauty) lol. Doesnt clump at all, is wax free (meaning that it is easily removed w/o having to lose any lashes), doesnt smell stinky, and doesnt contain irritating ingredients which is perfect for sensitive eyes and most importantly doesnt smudge and smear beneath eyes which is never a good look. Plus, it doesnt flake off giving the sloppy untidy look like most mascaras. This mascara makes my eyelashes appear thick, full, long and glossy. HG for sure.

It doesn't seem to matter how many other mascaras I try out, I always want to come back to this one! I have naturally long and thick eyelashes but mascara is a must every day because my lashes are also blonde. Full story goes on easily, never feels stiff or "crunchy" when it dries and is the first mascara I have found that both looks great and never irritates my extremely sensitive eyes - even when I fall asleep with my makeup on.

One day, I may learn my lesson and just quit wasting my money trying other mascaras because Full Story is my HG and I should quit straying.

No matter where I venture, I always come back to Origins Full Story. It doesn't clump or flake and provides volume that I have yet to find only in Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes!. Since the Lights, Camera, Lashes! only comes in black, I have to go to my Origins as a staple for brown. Love this product. I recommend it to everyone.

Not bad....seems softer after it dries than other mascaras tried...I've been playing with makeup for over 30 years now--have had my share of products.

This is no great shakes---I've had better at drugstores...would not purchase again

Eh, for as much as I love all things Origins, I do not love this mascara. It has a nice consistancy & doesn't run or clump, but that's about all I can say about it. It really kinda just hangs out on my lashes... doesn't make them curl, or appear any more full.

I am, however, VERY picky about mascara. I have tried a TON of brands over the years & I can only think of 3 that I'd extend even a 4 lippie rating to, so considering this was not one of my least favs... maybe someone else would like it?

This is one of the best mascaras that I have ever used. Mind you my lashes are thick and when I use any mascara, it feels like it doesn't give my lashes any dimension like this one. This makes me lashes feel thicker and curl much easier than all the others that I've tried. Definetly would recommend if you have moderately thick natural lashes or other mascaras don't work on your lashes either.
