While this feels lovely and relaxing on the skin, it does nothing for the skin, if anything my skin feels worse after using this as it appears to leave a residue on my skin even after using a cleanser. I use it to relax but I wouldn't recommend it to treat skin.

This mask didn't really do anything for my skin. But it also didn't wreak havoc on my skin either so it's neither good nor bad to me.

After using a whole tube of product I noticed no difference in my skin, it was still the same as it always had been. It left my skin clean after washing it off, but it didn't feel any cleaner than right after using a cleanser. It doesn't leave any residue behind or any scent that I could discern.

The warming sensation feels good and I liked to use it after a workout at the gym thinking it might help clear my skin and open my pores up while I showered and washed my hair.

I would not repurchase this since I cannot justify the price. The warming sensation is nice, but without any other benefits I can't see myself spending money on this again.

This is a nice mask for those nights when you´re feeling a bit down and want something comforting. The mask is warm (ofcourse), soft and calms the skin.

But that´s all. When you wash the mask away, it´s like you´ve never had the mask on your skin. It does not clean your skin, pores or anything. I´ve now been using this product for a couple of months, and there are absolutely no results. It does not deep cleanse my pores, it doesn´t make my skin glow or scrub the "dead" skin away.

So, I´m certainly not buying this one again.

Pros: Doesn´t irritate my dry and sensitive skin

Tell you what, this is the best mask for a hangover! Not even kidding. After a big night you can really see the difference in your skin once using it and it always makes me feel and look so much better (like you never went out). It is expensive here in Australia but it does last a while. I use it on a nearly weekly basis.

**I recommend removing this mask with TBS's Luxury Face Chamois, leaves the skin so much softer than just washing off with water.

Got this at 50% off :)
Was looking for a mask to help control the oil on my skin. I used to stay in a climate where it was hot and humid all year round, I had sensitive combination skin, oily on the t-zone and really really dry on the rest of my face. I'm now living in a climate where it's cold and dry, and i found that my skin is becoming oilier, so i got this product to control the oil. It works pretty well, but other than to help my skin control oil i dont see any other effects, and it smells good. Also my cheeks get extremely dry when i use masks like this, but with this the skin didnt crack, which was good. However the skin around my chin started to flake the next day. I use it twice a week and apply clinique's moisture surge twice a day. I also like the fact that it comes in a tube, that way i dont have to dig my grubby hands into the tub (almost all TBS masks come in tubs, seeing as this was in a tube made me buy it in the first place) I wouldn't buy this again mainly because it doesn't do much other than to help me control my oily skin.

I got this warming mineral mask as a GWP at The Body Shop. I don't use this type of product on a regular basis. I do like the scent and the warming sensation. The product leaves my skin feeling soft afterwards. I cannot tell if it makes a huge difference but as I mentioned earlier I normally don't use this type of product on a regular basis so I'm not an experienced user. I would maybe repurchase if I find it on sale since I don't think face masks are essential to my skin care routine.

It smells great and I really want to like this product but so far it hasn't done too much for my skin. I haven't really noticed a difference since I started using it. Maybe I've been using too much water before putting it on because recently I noticed if your face is just slightly damp when you apply it, the warming effect lasts longer and my skin was softer than usual after I washed it off. I am going to continue using it that way and see if it makes a difference then. Will update later.

Bought mask on promotion when 50% off. Mask is ok. Feels nice on skin as it warms, leaves my skin feeling nice and soft afterwards. Not an amazing product but I haven't yet found an amazing mask. Packaging is pretty simple but good being upside down so less product wastage. Would only repurchase if at least 50% off as not worth the full price. Would rather buy a better product if available. Will try other brands in future.

This was my first warming mask. It def did what it said it would, warm your face. But it was a bit uncomfortable for me. I didn't know exactly what warming mask are suppose to do besides warming your face. So with no other effects, I returned the item.

I have wanted to try a warming face mask ever since I heard about it, but people said it would only be suitable for oily skin. I have dry skin, but the packaging from this mask said it was suitable for all skin types. I tried this and I really liked the warming effect. Also, if you add a little water the warming effect will get better. It is very relaxing and this scent somehow reminded me of coke?
After washing this off, my skin felt really soft.
If you have dry skin, this also is a good product because I didn't dry out my skin but left my skin feeling soft. Definitely recommended!

As an oily skinned person, I like warming masks as they do tend to dry out the oilies for me.
Was a bit disappointed to see the poor reviews after buying this, but I really like it and find it dries and tones my skin well and sorts out stubborn zits.
My only problem, and it's been the same with other similar masks is that after a while they start to dry out in the tube and get hard to squeeze out. I should use it up more quickly, but I tend to alternate it with other masks.

I got this free as a promotion. I'm not much for masks as I get impatient waiting 15-30 minutes after washing my face/showering and then messing up my hair/sink rinsing everything off. I'd rather shower/wash my face and be done.

For impatient folks like me, this mask might have an advantage. It needs to go on wet, clean skin and only needs about 5 minutes, so if I wash my face first thing in the shower and put this on, I can leave it on while shampooing, etc. and rinse at the end and be finished.

The warming effect does feel nice, particularly on cold days. Yes, it's a gimmick, but adds something fun to an otherwise basic clay mask. I notice my skin is softer/smoother right after using it. The effect seems more in the feel of my skin rather than the look of it. And it's only a temporary effect.

The tube packaging works fine for the shower; it didn't dry out or have any problems during the nearly year that I used it. (I said I'm not much for using masks :-) I was able to squeeze everything out and only had to cut the tube open for the last application.

I said I would repurchase because it is convenient for me, but I'll qualify that by saying I'd only repurchase if it's on deep discount. I'd not pay full price. It's a bit steep for what it is.

I purchased The Body Shop WMM (warming mineral mask) after some promising reviews which I read. I was quite happy with the results, and my skin did glow slightly more than it did before i applied the wmm. However, the effects of this mask are not very noticeable, and especially under foundation. Considering the fact that it was over the ten pound mark (if i remember correctly), i don't really think this product is worth the price. But it is lovely how it literally just warms up and it does leave the skin soft and smooth and slightly glowing, which is always a good thing! My main issue is the fact that it is quite expensive for the results that are achieved. But in saying that, this mask may work far better for someone of another skin type, so I can only speak for myself. Until I find another mask that tops this one, i must say, yes, I will re-purchase.

The white kaolin clay in this mask is generally used as a gentle cleanser, but does not absorb oil and therefore is perfect for dry, sensitive skin.

The self-warming sensation is relaxing and helped draw out impurities. It also contains ginger and cinnamon oils which gived the mask a nice spicy, subtle scent. There's also some seaweed extract thrown in for good measure as it has conditioning and hydrating properties.

It should always be applied to wet, clean skin. I experienced no stinging or problems when I left it on longer than the reccomended 5 minutes. I'm more or a 15-20minute kinda girl.

This mask is great for having around for having a relaxing night in, but as for actually deep cleansing and having a positive effect on my skin - well there are better, more impressive masks on the market.

Whilst this is an okay product, perhaps with repeated use I may get better results over time but for now I will not be repurchasing. But I am still encouraged to try other Body Shop masks as this one certainly hasn't given me any problems.

This is an interesting variation on the basic clay mask. It apparently also contains zeolite (whatever that is!) which "releases heat on contact with water, providing the warming sensation on the skin that helps to draw out impurities." I suspect we should take that with a very large pinch of salt... in particular I notice these claims are on the US website but don't seem to have made it through to the UK website. But the warming sensation is quite pleasant. The instructions tell you to dampen your face before applying the mask - evidently to "release the zeolite". I find this a terrific bore and don't actually like using water on my face if I can help it so I leave that stage out now and still get some sensation of warmth.
As with all clay masks, there is a temporary improvement in pore size and reduction of blackheads - alas, this does not last. I have been using this mask once a week to try to prolong the effect.

--Conclusion, my skin information and ingredient list at the bottom.--

The Body Shop's WARMING MINERAL MASK is a self-heating, deep cleaning clay mask that has a thick creamy texture, and does not dry or harden like most other masks.

Packaging: The mask comes in a 100ml(3.3oz) tube. This is hygienic and it is easy to squeeze out the amount you desire. The tube is about 14.5cm (almost 6inches) tall and the cap is flat, so you can stand the tube upright.

Scent: There is a slight scent to the mask. The Body Shop's website describes it as a "warm aroma of cinnamon and ginger", which is quite accurate. The website also states that it is ideal for "all skin types", but I can imagine people with sensitive skin/sensitive to smells may not agree.

Personal experience: I bought this mask after trying to get my hands on MAC's Volcanic ash Thermal Mask, but as it was sold out at every place I went, I decided to give this one a try.

Like I mentioned above, it has a thick, creamy texture, it comes out of the tube with an off-white colour, and it stays that same color when placed on face. The mask does not dry or harden, so you will not get that weird tightening/flaking effect.

You are suppose to apply this mask on a moist face, and when you do, the zeolite releases on contact with water. The site claims this helps the skin draw out impurities, and while I am unsure whether or not this is true, I can for sure say that I found this effect very relaxing. However, after using it for about a week now, I can say that my pores look a lot smaller, or are not visible at all in some places, and the blackheads on my nose are almost all gone/getting smaller and smaller.

I also left this mask on for more than 5mins and had no problems with any stinging effect.

My skin: I am a Eurasian with normal skin. I suffered from consistent acne for almost half of my life, but after an 8month long treatment of Roaccutane/Accutane, my skin has improved so much. I rarely get any blemishes, but after my Roaccutane treatment ended, I have noticed that my pores on my nose, cheeks and forehead are larger. I also started to get noticeable blackheads (which were more brown than black) on my nose.

***Conclusion***: Wonderful product. Packaging is great, works wonders for my pores and blackheads. Warming effect very relaxing. Would recommend this to others and will repurchase.

I got this because I want to start using/trying out face masks. This is not a bad product, the warming sensation is nice and I like that you only leave it on for 5 minutes. It didn't leave any residue on my skin, and my face felt clean after I rinsed it off. It didn't really make a difference (so far) in the texture of my skin though. I'll use it up though!
