This mascara was a disappointment. My first impression was the brush is very tiny and not much mascara came out on the brush. I thought it would be great to get at my little stray eyelashes with the small brush. The brush did help get at small lashes. However the formula is very thin and it went on as if I was not wearing any mascara. It did not plump, length, or curl my lashes. This mascara would best be suited to someone who wants the most natural look.

I bought this based on the comments here and I am happy with the product. I wanted something that didn't smudge and this product is reasonably good at this. There would be a little by the end of the day but it is more like a smokey eye effect on my bottom lid as opposed to an avalance of colour. I would agree that the brush is good, getting all the lashes and the mascara is thinner than others however maybe this is its secret to not smudging.

Not bad at all for the price! Gives a nice natural look, so I wear it during the day. It's easy to do a couple of coats with this one too, so you can build it up for a more dramatic look. Doesn't seem to smudge or flake. Overall I think it's good value for money and I'd buy it again.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would! The formula seems to be thinner than most mascaras. If your goal is a more natural look, then you can achieve that with one coat. I put on a second coat, and it gave me more definition and volume but still looked natural. Love it!

This wasn't the best mascara I've used, yet not the worst either. The packaging was quite basic, but the actual mascara was of a good quality; the brush was a good size, and it didn't go clumpy. It did add definition to my eyelashes, and although I don't think it's a must-have product, I'd buy it again.

A few days ago I wrote a scathing review about Avon Lash Designer mascara, after only using it once and applying it quickly. Well, today I gave it another try and it seemed better: clean, thin (not clumping) and it does make you look like you have more lashes, like a fellow reviewer wrote! It is not very thickening but, for $3.99 I like the end result, except for the flaking.

I use this mascara on my bottom lashes because the brush is small. Its really great and coats all of my lashes. It makes it look like I have more eyelashes. :)

This is the second mascara I've tried from Avon and I like it. I like the brush, which is really small and gets even smallest eyelashes covered. I like that it doesn't clamp. I like that it thickens a little bit while giving eye lashes a natural look. And I love the price. I can usually get it for $3 or less.

So this isn't the be-all, end-all of mascaras, but it works great for such an inexpensive one. I have only used brown-black but it really thickens and darkens my lashes. When I use this with my lash curler, it really gives a nice, natural-but-better look. My lashes aren't particularly thin or sparse, so it works great for me. Decent brush prevents clumps, though I do dab the tip on a tissue before getting it near my eyes as a lot of mascara tends to build up there. I only wear mascara on my bottom lashes on days when my skin feels normal/dry and I know I won't be sweating or crying and in these cases, the mascara holds up. Overall, a great, inexpensive product.

Well for a mascara from Avon this is not bad at all,hold well it does not clump or flake off. Also it does add volume to my lashes and it is cheap!
The packaging is okay I like that the wand is really small it helps with getting in the corners of my eyes! I might buy again but so far this is the best mascara I have tried from avon. I have a few more to try tho!

When I first got this and tried it on, I thought "Yes, the end to my search for the perfect mascara." It was a good, dark black, it didn't clump and it was natural looking and made my eyes stand out but not too much. However, after only a few days, I had decided that I could do better. It's not that this is a bad mascara. I think I'm just fickle. I'm a Clinique girl and tried the full potential mascara and I'm in love. It's been about a 1.5 months and I'm still liking it. Maybe it's THE ONE.
update: retried this mascara after I got tired of the clinique full potential and realized that, in fact, this is now my most favorite (lash designer). I don't know if it was bad technique before or what but now I think it's the greatest. I just ordered 3 new tubes because they were on sale!

I received this as a gift from my very nice friend Jean. Was very wet at the beginning. It's 3 weeks I use it everyday. I like it, but it's not spectacular or dramatic. Perfect for an everyday mascara!

This is awesome stuff! Dirt cheap, better than any of the other more expensive ones I've used in the past (Max Factor, Loreal, Clinique etc.)and doesn't flake off.
You gotta try this girls!

This is something you use after you curl your eyelashes and is definitely for a more natural look. Because I have short eyelashes it didn't really make them stand out but it did bring out the very small eyelashes. And clumping was minimal.

Wow...I was TOTALLY surprised to see ANY negative reviews on this mascara. It rocks! I like it even better than the wash-off waterproof I reviewed from Avon before. I have 10 times more lashes that I ever imagined I did -I just couldn't SEE them before when using other mascaras! This really brought out all the little tiny guys in there to make my lashes fuller. Will DEFINITELY keep buying!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara! I decided to try this one out I'm not sure why cause I haven't liked any other Avon mascaras in the past but boy I'm so glad I did! So impressed and I do believe YMMV on mascaras cause that obvious in the reviews but this one is now the one I reach for everyday and when its on sale for 3.99 I can't pass it up! I have no problems with clumping or flaking just flawlessly goes on even without using a eyelash curler to prep my lashes.

i really liked this product- i have had it for two months and it has not clumped at all! they havechanged the pachaging and now it doesnt clump very much at the mouth of the tube anymore...anyways, this does not remind me of great lash-it doesnt end up all over the place and it actually does something to my lashes! i did definetly buy this again :) EDIT: meh this is boring now that i have CG lash exact waterproof which is great!!
