Personally, I really like this shampoo! It makes my hair feel super clean and I love the fruity smell as I am lathering up. I can see, however, how the smell may not be everyone's cup of tea. I use this shampoo every other day because it can be a tad drying, but I feel like it does a good job of keeping my blonde highlights intact and fresh looking. This shampoo also has sentimental value for me, because my grandma used to wash my hair with it when I was a little girl... I loved the smell then and I love the smell now. :-) I love this product!

Nothing special at all. It is a very old school color protecting shampoo. There are much better options out there these days, especially if you are going to spend this much money.

I have been using this for years. I'm always buying new products but this has always been in my cabinet. I forget how soft it makes my hair and how yummy it smells. It last a while because a little goes a long way which is good because this can be tough to find.

I just tried the small sample at Ulta, and didn't like it, but I'm confused because I don't know if the one I tried is a newer formula or the older one. The one I tried didn't have any oils in it, but when I looked online, I found an ingredient list that had oils in it. In trying to get more info on this, it looked like it may be on it's way to be discontinued, and that's the last thing I need - to find a shampoo I like that is being discontinued. In either case, the one I tried without the oils, was very drying and I didn't care for it at all.

This shampoo is da bomb. Look no further--HG material. Firstly the fragrance is divine, to my nose a gentle floral/melon but not sweet in the way that sounds. It lingers in the background in your hair after use w/o interfering w/ your chosen fragrance.
Then there is the texture. It has some slip, but no oiliness, and lathers well. Between that and the aroma, it makes hairwashing an indulgent, sensual task.
The cleaning power is just right for frequent use. It removes any greasiness and/or dirt in a business-like way, but doesn't strip the hair in the slightest.
And finally it is much more concentrated than most shampoos. I have to keep reminding myself to use only about a nickel-sized amount on my waist-length hair. Shorter hair would need less. So it's much more economical than the price of the bottle would lead you to think. It just lasts and lasts.
The only tiny quibble I can think of is that the 16oz size that I prefer has a top that opens w/ a thumb push and stays open until you push it closed, rather than a pump.

This did everything OPPOSITE it is suppose to do to hair. I got my hair done a few weeks ago and it has faded so much. This shampoo has definitely stripped my color so I am out money from getting my hair done and from buying this shampoo. I should not have switched from my aveda shampoo (which by the way keeps my hair color). I am glad it works for some people, but this shampoo has made my hair color so dull and my makes my hair dried out. This shampoo is on my list of what NOT to buy. I have even used shampoos on my color treated hair that were not suppose to keep hair color well and kept it better then this stuff. Buyer beware!!

I love the smell and the fact that it helps hold color. After awhile it does wear hear down a bit, but no worries. When used alternatly with a lighter shampoo the results are amazing!

I have both the Kiwi Coloreflector shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is pretty kick ass. I used it 2 nights ago after a long hiatus and really loved the results. My hair (which has been dull and dry) turned out super shiney and beautiful. Perfect amount of moisture. I don't have color-treated hair, but I would use this again to keep my brown hair from looking dull and mousey. The conditioner on the other hand I do not like. I've used it in the past and it was way too light for my thick hair. I like a thick conditioner to really moisturize my hair and this one is super super light and thin/watery. Shampoo is awesome though!!

I am loving this for my fine 3A hair! I had purchased the smoothing version of this shampoo and had to return it to the store because it dried out my hair big time. I thought I'd try this since it doesn't have SLS as the primary ingredient...I have to wash my hair daily due to the products I use. I switch this shampoo up with Herbal Essences Drama Clean once or twice a week to keep the buildup down. So far, it's been great. I use this in combination with Infusium Colorologie conditioner, Artec Smoothing Serum (my HG styling product, whether I'm going curly or straight), and Herbal Essences Totally Twisted mousse. This combination has really helped defined my curls.

I have fine hair that tends to hang pretty limp. My scalp gets lightly oily and my ends are pretty dry. My hair is sometimes color treated.
This shampoo works really well for me and I have been using it for 2 months now. It seems to clean my hair and scalp without stripping it. When I blow it dry with my round brush, I get good volume that lasts through several hours without using any volumizer. I haven't noticed any irritation on my scalp and no breakouts around my hairline. I'll probably stick with this as my shampoo as long as my hair and scalp continue to like it. I use this in conjunction with Frederik Fekkai's Volume conditioner.
My 13 yo daughter has been using it on her very thick, permed hair and it has worked well for her also. She has psoriasis of the scalp and this hasn't aggravated it. She has actually had less flaking since she started using this.
It has a really pleasant smell that isn't too overpowering and is pretty reasonably priced.

My colorist recommended this product to me which I thought was a good thing, then about a year into using this she proclaimed that it strips color. I reckon she wants her clients using a product that strips which in turn brings her more business with more frequent color touch ups. I was told if you dye your hair any shade of red do not use this shampoo at all. I am a natural dark blonde who highlights so this is a safe bet for me. I like the scent and the concentration and to me this is a reliable product that is readily available. A little goes a long way. I don't shampoo everyday as I have dry ends and a slightly oily scalp. I have noticed that by shampooing less often my color stays intact significantly longer. Kiwi is excellent for shampooing every other or 2 days or less. More often and it tends to dry and strip. There is a compatible conditioner but I don't care for it. It is light but really did nothing for me.

Smells great, works terribly. It has sodium laryl sulfate too which I can't believe. How can companies in the new millenium still use this in their products? It made my hair fall and I will NEVER use again. I don't recommend this one to anyone. Too drying and ruins your hair.

I've been using this shampoo for about 2 months now and I like it. It really has helped keep my color looking fresh longer and I've never had a shampoo do that before. I still get compliments on my highlights 5 weeks after I've had them done. The scent is very light. It lathers well and does an okay job of cleaning. I wish it had a bit more cleaning power, but that would probably cause it to strip my color. The matching conditioner is far too light for my taste and does nothing for my hair. Overall, it's been one of the best shampoos I've ever tried, high-end and low-end.

For some reason this shampoo makes my hair fall out. I love the smell still.
I would not purchase this product again. Packaging is normal for a product of its price. It is pricey!

Nice smell, kept my hair soft and didn't strip the color. After a while, my hair started feeling weighed down, so I switched to something else. This is good shampoo, but it didn't knock my socks off.

This is the best color sealing shampoo I've ever used, and I've used it on and off for the past 8 years. I've used Terax, Pureology (I love that scent more than of any other shampoo), Redken, TIGI, the Phyto line, and others, and every time I go back to the ARTec, it makes my hair look so much better, i.e., shiny, bouncy, healthy. I'm not really crazy about the scent; the scent actually annoys me, but the product really makes a huge difference in my hair. I don't think it's that expensive, in fact, it's cheaper than some of the others I mentioned, so I have been repurchasing. I will certainly never go back to drug store shampoo and continue to use this on a long term basis.

This is one of the best shampoos I have tried. It contains sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, which is a milder detergent than the various lauryl sulfates typically found in shampoos. I've been using this shampoo on my color-treated (red!) hair with good results. I use it with the Kiwi Coloreflector conditioner and save money by purchasing the two as a set from the salon.

This is, most definitely, my HG of shampoos. It smells great, is extremely easy to lather, and leaves my hair bouncy, manageable, and shiny. I work at a salon, and I always recommend this to anyone looking to try a new shampoo, because I know that they will fall in love with it-- whether their hair is color-treated or not.
