I was trying to save a little bit of money by using a less expensive pomade product and after reading Paula Begoun's book: "Don't Go Shopping for Haircare Products Without Me." I took her suggestion and purchased the Citre Shine Highly Laminating Glossing Pomade and I was not happy with it. It's okay but it left my hair greasy. I went back to my tried and true Rusk Being Undressed Glossing Pomade and I am happier.

I got this product at Ulta on clearance for a little over $2. I'm glad I didn't have to pay full price because this stuff made my hair so greasy! Maybe I just applied too much of it...but man...it felt like my hair wasn't washed in over a week. Sure, I didn't have frizz, but my hair just felt gross. I think I may just use this for spot treatment when there's hairs sticking up or something.

Let me start off by saying that I have pretty long hair (mid back length) that is frizzy ALL THE TIME...except when I use this stuff! I take about 1/4 tsp worth and warm it (this helps it become easier to apply) between my palms and distribute throughout my hair. After this, I'm left with shiny, frizz free hair--no joke! This pommade has great hold (I use this in the place of gel) and a nice, subtle scent as well. It's my secret 'weapon' to fight frizzies and calm fly aways and, for the price (somewhere under $5), this is a staple!

I absolutely love this product, great shine. I picked it up at the drugstore for under 5 bucks, better than Kerastase and much, much less expensive. Easy to use, terrific soft hold and great shine. Be careful not to use too much, it can make shorter hair look greasy. But so far, so good. Will repurchase again for certain.

This is my absolute favorite glossing pomade ever! I have used others in the past, including Herbal Essences (way too greasy) and L'Oreal Crystal Wax (nice, but I think it's discontinued), but I just keep coming back to this one. I use it to smooth flyaways when my hair is down and keep it in line when I put it up. It doesn't muck up my hair, comes out easily when I brush, and is just a great, basic, no-frills hair product. I don't like the twist-off packaging it has, but mehhh -- if it were in a squeeze tube, it wouldn't be a pomade! I have gone through about 3 tubs of this stuff (over about 6 years) -- you only need a little dab for a lot of hair! Will repurchase over and over. Retails for under $5 at drugstores.

This works so well for me. I love this pomade, no buildups, no silicones!, no flyaways, no frizz. My hair seems to feel better when I use this and it does give it a brillant glossy finish. If I know it has to be a good hair day I reach for this.If you have thick hair, buy this today, great control, great hold.Waited a month to post this to try it out with curls and when I blowdry striaght,it works awesome whatever I use it for. A true feat of modern engineering!

I've loved many of the other Citre shine products I've tried, but this one, while not bad, didn't quite perform the same way I hoped. The glossing pomade does gloss quite well, and you only need a tiny bit. However, the smell of this pomade is a bit wierd. I am not sure whether I just got the one that went bad or what, but normally citre shine has a pleasant citrus smell, but this just smell like gas station mixed with orange. Also this is a bit too heavy and greasy, and the consistency makes it hard to get the exact right amount. It's an interesting product, and works well in tiny quantities.

I really like this pomade. I love the smell and everything else about it. It makes my hair VERY shiny! I have had it for a while and am almost out and I wish I could get more of it but I can't find it anywhere.

This worked pretty well on my hair. I don't have any complaints about it, but I also don't have any raves about it, just an ok cheap product worth trying for the price.

It's alright. I mostly use it for ponytails because when I use it when my hair is down, at the end of the day, my hair is very limp and stringy looking.
I really like the smell, it's like a hint of citrus. The only bad thing is that the stuff melts pretty easily all over in the pot...but other than that, it's not too bad. Not the best pomade in the world though!

I bought this pommade about 2 months ago. I really liked the smell and this product didn't way my hair down. It helped smooth my hair, give it shine (but not make my hair look greasy), and really helped with my frizzies. I would repurchase this pommade by Citre Shine, but I am having trouble finding it.

This feels like tacky jelly to me in the pot and feels really "strange" on my hair. Doesn't give me the sleek, polished look that I was looking for.
Won't repurchase, but won't complain too much for $3.49 either!

Since my hair is breaking off from all the bleaching, i use this to tame away flyaways. I love the scent....orangy-lemon like....i only dab a lil bit on the top of my head, not anywhere else. I might try Murray's pomade next...and if i end up not liking that, i'll stick to this. =)

This is a nice product to have around. I have fine, thin, butterscotch blonde hair, and this product doesn't weigh my hair down or darken it. My favorite use for it is on days I want to wear a low ponytail or bun, to slick a "little" of this over my hair before pulling it back. Gives my hair a little bit of grip and shine. Love the light citrus smell.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I didn't like this product. It didn't tame my fly-aways, and made my hair look sorta stringy. I have fine hair and thought it would give it a little more weight, but it didn't. I wouldn't buy it again. However, I DO recommend Citre Shine's Shine Miracle Anti-Frizz Polisher!

As with most citre shine products, they are pretty good quality products w/o being overly expensive. I thought this was a really really good pomade overall. I used it on my dry frizzy hair and it instantly gave it a very soft manageble feel and nice shine. The only problem I have with it is that it doesnt really deliver texture. I would still recommend this good product to those who want frizz control, and soft manageble fee but not too much hold. It smells nice too!

A great inexpensive product. I use just a tiny bit of this to keep my hair smooth, tame flyaways, and give it a bit of shine. It has a pleasant, citrus-y scent. For less than $5 Cdn. this was a great find - it will last for ages.
