IMO this is a cold weather perfume & sprayed lightly..It smells on me like a very sweet woody mans aftershave ....mmm..not sure about this one ...I could'nt go on a long car journey wearing it ...I'd be sick as it is very very sweet on me ....Ahh well another one for the guest room...love the bottle though very modern and sleek but elegant...would look nice displayed on a dresser...but the contents sadly not a patch on CK1 for me anyway....

i always find calvin klein perfumes cheaper than others and i was just picking random ones when i was going abroad for presents. I bought this one for my mum and i was dead jealous when she was wearing it. it was so elegant, not very light or disturbingly heavy, long lasting and very nice mature smell. definitely worth a lot for its price as i paid around 20 pounds for that.

it's a very long lasting scent that's warm and pleasant enough. i dislike the slight sharpness when first sprayed. not my favourite, as i prefer sweeter fragrances

This opens with a sweet, high-pitched burst of green, unripe tropical fruit and hyacinth. The green note reminds me of a bombastic, modern, synthetic version of the greens used in the Ellena perfumes for Hermes. So not really *like* those Jardins perfumes but as though someone took a note from one and gave it a lot more heft, punch and thickness. It's tart and juicy -- maybe fruit and the note CK calls 'bamboo'.


From the first burst there's a sweet thread, running from top note to dry down. I'm not sure I smell wood. It's more like 'grassy-wood' -- so yes, bamboo might be an accurate note. This is the middle: the sweet thread gives off a green-grass-wood-vanilla vibe, it runs strong, the tartness is still present. Skipping ahead: the dry down is all cream soda without the fizz, green-vanilla -- warm, cozy and with a whisper of the initial bamboo.


Now the fun part. What I see when I close my eyes; how it makes me feel.

It'd smell darned good in cool weather, but for some reason it's summer with a capital 'S'. Reminds me of lawns, clear skies, and hot summer days. Poolside. Drinking tall glasses of icy 7-Up style soft-drinks, topped with scoops of vanilla ice cream. But this time as an adult.
Then it reminds me of David Hockney's A Bigger Splash -- and his other poolside artworks: flattened out, high-colour, something brash, unseen and sexy hidden behind those clean lines and sharp edges, those rectilinear compositions. Brown figures and the long shadows of hot, hot afternoons. The energetic squiggly lines of moving water in Peter Getting Out of Nick's Pool and the inverted pyramids of blue water on bright green in A Lawn Being Sprinkled.
That's it: CK Truth is -- David Hockneys from the '60s and '70s, plus cream soda with ice cream on the side.


At first I wasn't sure about this -- it's so modern and Calvin Klein. But it's evocative of...an emotion I can't place or express in one word.
It dries down to a skin-scent that I didn't want to call sexy -- except -- it's very sexy. In a 'young-and-hot- and-fresh-but-not' way.

I was going to give this a 3, then a 4. But after closing my eyes and really feeling it -- I give it a 5.

This is not so much a review as a plea to reintroduce this gorgeous floral woody scent. I liked it so much I went out and bought a huge 100ml bottle. (And I think I tend to lack tenacity with perfumes!) It's quite possibly one of my favourite CK scents of all time! Scrap that, it is one of my absolute favourites of all time. Green and woody, it smells like it should do your soul good.. I can think of nothing else like it.

I remember when this perfume first appeared in 2000 or 2001. I struck it off my to buy list because I though it just smelled like Ivory soap. Well, eleven years and one hundred bottles later (I kid you not), I have rediscovered this wonderfully unique scent during a $19.99 promotion. Hearing it was discontinued, my interest piqued. Truth has definitely been reformulated. I bought the eau de parfum. While it is a wonderfully unique scent in today's market filled with fruity florals and gourmands and fruitchoulies, it has definitely been watered down. Unless, of course, the stock I bought was bad. Anyway, it is only a shell of its previous self. The scent is weak and does not last despite spritzing it on lavishly. It is so lovely and unpretensious and calming that I do not regret my purchase though.

I've worn this fragrance since I was 18 and it's just so lovely! Not like anything out there. Soft and mellow, light floral mixed with green notes and light woods. I smell sandlewood, bamboo, and honeysuckle when I wear it. Perfect for spring and summer. This is my favorite perfume that I own and I will continue to wear it as long as I can find it.

i forgot how much i liked this perfume until the other reviewers reminded me! is it still around? its great for day wear and work or going out. its not too heavy, but light and fresh with a bit of a punch. defininately a keeper.

At first spritz it is very fresh and grassy smelling, but it soon dries down to a lush, "skin" scent. I love how it stays very close to my skin, and it just feels so warm, creamy and cozy. I normally do not like any of the CK fragrances, but this is lovely for me. Lasts reasonably well (4-6 hrs) on me and I got it quite inexpensively online.

my ex-boyfriend brought this fragrance 4 me 2002 and i have been hooked ever since i ALWAYS get compliments when wearing this fragrance. The only down side its hard 2 find but other than that 2 thumbs up!

I rotate my perfumes seasonally. This is my go-to perfume for spring and summer as it is light, fresh, grassy and, most of all, longlasting. I have gone through several bottles of this and I can honestly say that it is one of my favorites, if not favorite perfume:)

This is GORGEOUS, I find this strong so din't need much! And, I get the biggest bottle there is for under £20!!! It is HEAVEN! Everyone always notices this smell, and I don't want them to tell them what it is as I want it to be MINE ALL MINE!!!! Try it! you will love it! x

DELIGHTFUL... of course they always discontinue the great ones, right? I love Truth... it is so fresh and clean, but sexy, too. I wore it when I first got married, 9 years ago, used up most of my 2nd or 3rd bottle and forgot about it... but I rediscovered it again recently and can't believe I didn't repurchase. Unfortunately the last bit of the bottle I had left is now rancid, so I am eagerly awaiting my huge 3.4 oz. bottle from Beauty Encounter... counting down the days. Thank goodness for the internet! :-)

I got this as a gift from my beloved one and i fell in love with this scent. Every time i spray this it calms me, i feel like i'm sitting somewhere in the woods.

Truth is my go-to fragrance on days when I can't decide what scent to wear, or when I want to make sure that I won't offend anyone with my perfume. This is probably the fragrance I've had the most compliments on (from everyone - friends, family, strangers stopping me in the street)and although it's no longer one of my top choices in my collection I think I'll always want to have a bottle as long as it's available. Although I think of this as a springtime scent it somehow works better on me in winter, the cold climate seemingly adding depth and longevity. That said I could happily wear this day or night at any time of the year. A very well balanced scent, it avoids being too sweet or sharp or strong or cloying in any way. Rather it is fresh and light whilst also having a bit of depth and intrigue. Very nice.

Thsi is one of my favorites! fresh, lush, exotic and warm...it just melts into my skin...I think it is more of a winter scent though..the bamboo in it makes it refeshing and sensous at the same time
in my opinion, the best of Calvin Klein

I LOVE this .. have been through probably 3 100ml bottles over my time. The only complaint is that it could be stronger. It's very gentle & I'd love an extreme version with the staying power of say Eternity. It's the most gorgeous green floral scent with a musky undertone. It's the one I feel is the most 'me' on my dresser, and also perhaps Cabaret. Now I just need to find a deep, luscious scent to round out the selection.
