This does an ok job for moisturizing lips. It leaves a pinkish tint on my lips which I don't care for. I mainly use this (it sounds gross) around just the inside of my nostrils when I have a cold. It has a slight viks smell to keep the sinuses clear but not overpowering so everyone can't smell you. It moisturizes the inside of my nostrils so they don't get dry during the constant nose blowing. I always have a tube on hand.

I love this lip balm! I have tried so many and this is absolutely my favorite. I love the smell, but it might turn some people off. I got it for 89 cents I think so it's very cheap and a tube will last a long time! The packaging is fine, it's nothing fancy but it's easy to spot in my bag because I don't have anything else that color. I find that it gives my lips a little bit of a light pink color because of the SPF in it and I like how it looks! My lips just look so nice and soft after I use this. HG lip balm :)

Like the previous reviewer mentioned, this does provide a long-lasting and effective layer of protection against the elements; I also like that it has SPF and is super inexpensive. But it's not moisturising enough to stop me from trying something else. Not a fan of the smell, either.

I don't think it works for me. It provides a layer of "protection" but I feel like it dries out my lips because it doesn't feel supple after application.

I've been using this for a while, and I have to say that it's one of the staples in my makeup bag. The packaging isn't particularly eye catching nor does it have any delicious scent/flavor, but it works! It's inexpensive, lasts forever, and it has SPF! It also gives a nice finish on my lips. It's like a subtle gloss; not too shiny, but you can see a bit of shine. It doesn't last all day for me, however, I only need to reapply after every 5 hours or after eating/drinking (I usually put on 2-3 coats of it the first time and 1 coat when I need to reapply the balm).

i really dont like this chapstick at all.The smell is sooo bad it smells like stomach medicine and burns your lips. The consistency is so thick aand waxy that i cant even wear it out without looking like i have a white cast on my lips. the ony thing it would be good for would be intensive therpy on your lips in the night or something because it does help but i dont think its worth it for me.if all those things dont bother you try it!

This is like my crack. I've been using this as my staple lip balm (I call it chapstick, even though it isn't) for over 10 years now. I can't remember not using this. If my tube is missing, I WILL panic. This is what I wear on my lips at night, before makeup application, and any time I'm around the house.
HG!
I use the Medicated Mint and Berry.

This is a great lip balm. It leaves my lips moisturized and has SPF. It's also very cheap.

I love this lip balm. I use it everyday as a base for lipstick or lipgloss. This balm also soothes bare lips. I can't go a day without my Blistex.

I have much to say about this product, I don't know where to start! This product can be found for a dollar basically anywhere, and that is extremely good for something this medicated and healing. The scent is a fresh smell, like lemon cleaner and then the medicated smell. It does leave the slightest of tingle on your lips at first, but you never notice unless you are trying to find something there. The SPF 15 is great. I love applying this before I go outside and in the day, but also at night for the medicated and healing part. In case anyone is wondering (I frequently compare), it contains .15oz of product, which is regular size. The product isn't too waxy, but it's not a greasy and watery mess either. It makes your lips feel coated and extremely protected, this is no light lip balm. This heals even the toughest of chapped lips, and continues to protect them. It's good in the shadows of winter when your lips are blistering and getting cracked and chapped, then it carries you all the way to the summer where it saves them from the heat and sun and wind. I have been using this for many, many, years, and it has never disappoints. I constantly am coming back to it, missing it's familiar medicated and clean scent and feel. I have to say, Blistex is my favorite brand. It's lasting power is great, it stays on for a while, and it doesn't have any weird and awkward taste. It's perfect for men and women both, it reminds me of Original Chapstick a bit because it has no flavor and it's the basis of the whole line. Not that Chapstick is better than this product. It's packaging is always good, I have bought it in the plastic packaging (as pictured) and also without; it's always sealed and new. I would recommend it, as I do to my friends and family, there are no cons! I have no idea where these negative reviews come from on here for this. It comes in a comfortable green tube with nice bubbles "Blistex" on it, not odd like Carmex's red and yellow at all. If you try it and really don't like it, all you lost is $1. It's great for the price, healing power, protection, feel, look, everything! I would pick one up-they are everywhere.
Edit 1/5/2012:
It works great, but it is unhealthy and cheap and I feel like I am putting poison on my lips. This is the product that helped me break out of my ChapStick cycle I had gone through since I was little, and it signified me growing up and out of having everyone baby me and that I could choose something (even as simple as a lip balm) for myself. I have used it for years, and years, and years, and years, and next on the cycle was Carmex, whom I am still it's biggest fan for, but I am to report that I have given away the last of my Blistex. I would so buy again for something like vacation or a day of tennis anyday. It's winter though, and although this works, there are so many better organic and natural balms that work just as well. One thing I did enjoy though was it's scent, not even the least bit annoying over the years. I am almost mournful as I am taking a walk down memory lane. I don't know what else to say though. It was my HG forever, I had loved it and took it with me forever, the only thing that would make me stray was the Raspberry Lemonade Blast Blistex lip balm, and I still used this one every night though. Oh well, easy come, easy go.

Very nice lip balm. Cheap/inexpensive, nice feel, glides well. I love the SPF factor because I was looking for a lip balm that had SPF without giving that white chapped look like all the other ones.
The only issue I have with this lip balm is that it doesn't last very long. It's "easy-glide formula" is a bit too easy as I have a habit of smacking my lips a lot. But the dirt cheap price and SPF 15 well overlooks that fact. Will be buying again!

This stuff is sooooo awesome and effective! Ever since the beginning of summer, my lips have been sooooo chapped and peeling like crazy (from I don't know what!)...I had an intense problem of peeling my lips off even because it was that bad...I bought a multitude of different lip balms and chapsticks just to try to soothe them back down and prevent this problem (Nivea, Soft Lips, Victoria's Secret, Burt's Bees, Carmex, etc.). but none of them helped and they even seemed to make the problem worse....I had bought blistex before, but after only using it once, my older bro stole it and ended it up leaving it in his car, where it melted..so I forgot to get another one, and just kept trying the chapsticks I already had...but like I said, the peeling just progressed, and [no joke] I was literally pulling flakes of my lip off (it was like I had burnt my top lip or something--either with the sun or the peel I used earlier this summer..or both..but anywho, I was just about to give up and go to a derm or something, and then I was at the dollar tree and remembered to buy a tube of blistex while I was there, just to give one more chapstick a try, especially since the word "medicated" lured me in....and WOW, in only a week of using this stuff, my lips are completely healed over and have stopped peeling, even when I don't have any blistex on! It's amazing, and I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially for it's awesome price! After months of suffering with my peely, chapped lips, I can't believe how little I spent to get this problem solved! Best dollar I've ever spent and already HG status for me! Awesome stuff!

Honestly the best lip balm i have ever used.
I love the refreshing, tingling sensation it gives my lips after i put a layer on. It makes my lips oh so smooth and sof ; my lips get chapped and all disgustingly red so easily, but Blistex takes care of that in no time.
Totally worth the money :)

My HG lipbalm for this stage in my life. I don't have a problem with excessive dryness like I did in my 20's when I used the Blistex medx( blue pot). I use it just to stay moisturized. Absorbs well without and unnatural buildup. Not waxy and great as a primer for lip stick/ lipgloss- necessary for me for application of that longwearing dry lip liner. Love it!

I always have about 3 of these at a time. One for home, one for my purse, and one at work (can't have purse with me). It's about the best out there for the price. Others seem to be oily, sticky, smelly, or taste awful. This one is none of those. I never have problems with dry lips with this lip balm.

okay i have tried SO many chapsticks and i ALWAYS go back to this one. it makes my lips supersoft for a long time and hydrated. I like the tingling feel too and that and doesnt have that strong of an odor like carmex. Also its easy to carry around and i'm never a fan of the potted lip treatments because they make my fingers dirty..over all i love this lip balm. its perfect!

My HG for Maine winters. I wouldn't survive without this stuff.
My boyfriend uses it as well, so we have gone through too many tubes to count. It's kind of ugly, as far as packaging goes, but it's the best lip balm you can get for the money. I also use it on top of a little bit of lip liner or lipstick, and it looks completely natural because the balm doesn't have and sparkle or shimmer to it.
