I think we all are talking about the Ultra Moisturizing Mask and not just the Moisturizing (because L'Occitane only has the Ultra). Oh, wow, I am really really impressed with this wonderful ultra moisturizing mask !! This does the job for me, it really moisturized, calm and soothes my over dry skin leaving it sooo soft and smooth to the touch and vibrant looking. The melting texture is such a lush to the skin. it is true to its claims, within a few minutes the skin recovers its softness and radiance. I also applied this on my dry hands(due to washing hands so many times a day) and what a relief this is, I got back a smooth hand skin afterwards. no need to wait for so long time for the moisturizing action to take effect as it is almost instantly. I also like the tube packaging. As per the price, it is not cheap even here, but if the product is this good then I would not hesitate to buy it again.

It is a very average mask in my opinion and Dr.Hauscha’s moisturizing mask works better and it much cheaper option.

During a recent flu, my face got so chapped and sore from the fever that I couldn't even wash it. In desperation, I opened up a sample of this and spread some on dry skin, sat in the bath for 10 minutes then rinsed off. I followed this procedure over the next few days and it saved my poor skin. I have combination skin tending to break out but needed something pretty intense. This did not exacerbate any acne. Lovely soapy scent. This formula contains some excellent humectants and has 20% shea butter. I had no idea but apparently this product can be used as a night cream, just use a very thin layer.
Contains tilia cordate flower extract, shea butter, neopentyl glycol dioctanoate/neopentyl glycol, diethylhexonate, C12-15 Alkylbenzoate, glycerin, sweet almond oil fruit extract, aqua, sodium pca, cetearyl alcohol, peg 100 stearate, glyceryl stearate, mentyl lactate, dimethicone, sorbitol PPG 26 buthet 26, ceteareth 33, carbomer, trethanolamine, phenoxythanol, PEG 40 hydrogenated castor oil, parfum, tocopherol, polyacrylamide, isoparaffin, benzoic acid, dehydroacetic acid, laureth 7, sodium hyaluronate, xantham gum, rosemary leaf extract, soybean oil.

Oh... my... gosh. This product is INCREDIBLE! I used to have slightly dry patches on my skin, so I went to the l'occitane store in London (in the Canary Wharf shopping centre, I believe) and asked the sales assistant for some advice. She suggested this. I took one look at the word 'mask' and assumed she was trying to con me into buying something I didn't need! So, I repeated, "I need a moisturiser, not a use-one-in-a-while mask".
She told me that, were I to use this mask very sparingly, it could act as a moisturiser.
Yes, it is very rich, but this was perfect for my dry skin. It never made me break out - it didn't even make me greasy, since I used a very, very small amount on my face. It's been over a year since I started using this mask as a day-time moisturiser. The dryness is pretty much gone, thanks to the shea butter gorgeousness. This mask will now share face-time with an anti-ageing moisturiser - I don't have wrinkles yet (thank God!) but I'm guessing it's better to prevent than to treat...

This is a leave-in mask so I don't wash it until morning, and I can feel it working. My face is smooth, even a bit slippery after rinsing it off. The smell is very nice and does not irritate at all. It's truly moisturizing and I love it.

This is a RICH cream mask. I have dry skin that breaks out. This doesn't help the breakouts but it doesn't make them worse. Last week I had such dry skin that I needed to put a layer of jojoba oil underneath my makeup to get rid of the flakies. So the next morning I used this as a mask and left it on (forgot about it actually) and went about my business for about an hour and then I hopped in the shower and washed my face. The softness! I use this nightly as an eye cream and leave it on. For the money, it can't be beat. It's heavily fragranced, like all L'occitane products but I like it enough to buy again.

I gave this a five because it's a nice, rich moisturizer for my unfortunately dry winter skin. However, I just don't get the concept of this as a mask. The packaging says you can use it as a cream or a mask. To use as a mask you just apply a thin layer to your face, let it sit for ten minutes or so, then wipe off any excess. Couldn't you do this with any moisturizer, assuming it were thick enough not to run off your face? I tried the mask application, and most of it just soaked into my skin, leaving me with a bit of a greasy complexion after wiping it off; I guess that's why they recommend doing it in the evening, when you're probably not planning on leaving the house. I think I'll continue to use this, but as a night cream only.

This is a moisturizing mask in a tube. Unlike most masks you don't have to wash it off. Just leave in on a few minutes ( the instruction says few minutes, sometimes I leave it on a few hours, doesn;t really matter as long as you feel comfortable with ) Then wipe off the excess with a tissue. Then continue with your usual beauty routine. This sort of prep my skin with a genorous source of moisture and when I follow up with my toner and moisturizer, the products just sinks in perfectly. I used it twice a day now can definitely see visable results. My HG now will repurchase.

Absolutely my favorite moisturizing mask. I normally use high end department store brand masks and nothing has been working as nicely as this Shea Butter mask when it comes to moisturizing. This mask is simple--just moisturizing--but certainly does the trick well. My face has been a disaster for the past two weeks due to wrong moisturizer: I have flakiness and feel tight, dry and extremely uncomfortable that I'm almost going crazy. The mask just takes all the problems away in an instant. I apply this rich creamy mask on for 10 minutes, and half of it got absorbed into the skin, then I rub the excess a little bit and wipe it off. My skin feels so moisturized, soft and pampered, looks radiant too. I also find it very soothing with a very subtle cooling effect. A lot of wipe-off masks leaves my skin oily and shiny while this one only leaves a beautiful sheen, not sticky or heavy at all. When I wake up in the morning my skin can't be happier: looking wonderful with no tightness and dryness whatsoever. Can't rave enought about it!

Fortunately I only got this as a sample from the L'Occitane store. After using it, my skin felt kind of itchy and not any more hydrated than it had before (maybe I'm imagining things, but it seemed to feel even less so). My skin is sensitive - esp to some kinds of fragrance, and I could clearly smell the (sort of soapy) fragrance in this when I applied it, so maybe I just had a bad reaction. I tried to rinse it off of my face and it left my skin with that coated feeling that you get when you wash your face with a bar of soap. Would definitely not invest in the full size of this.

I love this mask!! I got a sample from a very generous MUAer and I've just used it. I have combination (tending to dry), sensitive skin and this worked a treat! The consistency is rather gelatinous - which to me is a good thing because it is easier to apply that way. The scent is that familiar lavendar/rose of the other l'occitance products, and was a pleasant change to some of the other masks I've been trialling. My skin did feel softer after the mask and it did not sting on my face, a problem I had with estee lauder and TBS versions.

Usually, I use high end products and by high end it means La Prairie, Sisley, Kose Cosme Decorte, Cle de peau to me. Last week probably, my friend took me to L'occitane shop and told me she was looking for a moisturising mask. The SA recommened this for us and she gave us samples to test it out first.
The sampling policy impress me very much. I have very very sensitive skin. My aunt smoked when I sat next to her. I worn turtle neck sweater at that time but when I went home, I found my shoulder felt very very itchy. And then, I saw some red spots on the back of my neck and on my shoulders ... So, I would not buy any products if I have no chance to try it at home. I think skincare products is targeted to enhance our beauty and this process should be risk free.
This Moisturising Mask is the kind you need to let it stay on your face for 15 minutes. It is cream based. I have used La Prairie Cellular Moisture Mask and Sisley Express Flower Gel. The texture of this Moisturising Mask is similar to that of LP one. So I let it stayed on my face for more than 15 minutes because last time when I was sick, my face was very dry so I let LP sat on my face for 1 hour, and I got GLOWING skin. Apparently, you cannot judge by appearance or texture ... because I was wrong and very wrong. Let The Moisturising Mask stayed for more than 15 mins gave me breakout! When was the last time I was broken out? I forgot as it was long time ago! My god!
Well, I guess that was a punishment for misuse the product. So I tried it again after a week. I gave it 5 or 10 minutes this time. It is not moisturise as deeply as LP or Sisley but is good enough to justify the price.
I have sensitive normal to dry skin and I have found this moisturising mask is rich enough. Oily skin may find this too rich in summer but perhpas okay in drier seasons.
Some girls like my friend likes to use moisturising mask everyday and I think this would be a great choice since this is not too expensive. Personally, I like La Prairie more. I still vote for repurchase in the future because I think it is a good product and if I had to cut my budget spending on skincare, I would buy this one.

This is a cream-like mask that you leave on for 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it made my sensitive skin blotchy and I didn't notice any difference in hydration.
