I can't see why MAC discontinued this. This is a frosty pink-silver that isn't as sticky as the lipglass.I disagree with the poster below, this would be flattering on all complexions as the color is frosty and not muted.

I was afraid that this would give my lips an 80s frosted look, but was very pleasantly surprised! Nice light shimmer, pretty and not at all "frosty". And I love how it's in a tube rather than a wand gloss. This is a keeper for sure.

I don't know what I was waiting for! I should have purchased this MUCH sooner. It appears chalky and too glittery when you first squeeze it out of the tube (btw, why doesn't MAC package all their glosses in this manner??? *grumble*). However, it looks absolutely amazing on! This was the effect I was hoping for when I tried the new Lustreglass formula. Low Light Silver is very shimmery and dimensional but not glittery, with the slightest sheen of pink. My lips are a bit more pigmented than average so YMMV, I can see this washing a really pale person out or being too frosty on a darker complexion. Fortunately it is very flattering for me because it appears almost neutral. :-)

When MAC discontinued the 'Stains', I was very disappointed- I don't care much for the LipGlass, but the 'stains' I LUV, & have Used for many years-Peach complement, silly, briefly pink-- I had Never tried Lowlight Silver, but saw it RECENTLY on Gloss.com(it's the ONLY stain they have), & took a chance- I am thrilled & the payoff is that I now have a Gorgeous Shimmery'silvered pink gloss that is So unique & versatile! A Very Light Hand w/ this One is all it takes, & I use it over alot of Different Pinks, Plums & mauves to add shine, sparkle & dimension- it , for me, gives a 'plumped-up look' to my already Full lips- I want to order another2-3, in case they stop selling it- Highly reccomend this one

wow because of the name i never thought i'd get this. the word silver pretty much scared me. but i happen to come across one and decided to give it a try because it looked pretty in the store when i tested on my hand. when i got home i was surprised at how beautiful this lipglass really is. it's a shimmery silvery w/ a very slight hint of pink. it looks gorgeous alone w/ smoky eyes. but even looks great on top of lipsticks and lipliners.gives your lips that pouty shiny look. very pretty. too bd it was only le.

Low light silver is a muted fleshy, peach-pink with tons of tiny silver shimmer. I find it adds no color on my plain lips, just way to much shimmer. Not my favorite of the lip glass stains simply because it looks horrible on it's own. On top of my other blah lipsticks and liners, low light silver adds depth, shimmer and the much sought after "va-va-voom pouty lip" effect. Great for dressing up your plain lippies!!

This looks nice thinly layered over any cool-toned lipstick for extra sparkle. I wore this over Syrup l/s, and got alot of compliments.

I am pleasantly surprised with this lipgloss. Didn't really think I'd like it, it looked too light and frosty and silvery. But it goes on as nice milky shimmer and gloss. I love it paired with smokey/purple eyes and plum lipliner

I do not like this stain. It's way, way tooo shimmery for a sane person to wear during normal waking hours. Great for nigt time glamour over other lipsticks. I just can't get over how FROSTED my lips look if I wear this alone...they don't even look like lips anymore!!

MAC Low Light Silver is a super-glossy sheer-ish silver. The pink in this is very light; I'd say the silvery-white dominates. It's sheer enough that I'd need to pile it on to get "color", but it's not clear, either. I think it's just right to get a silvery-glossy look without getting totally white lips. The texture of these MACs is so sticky, it lasts a long, long time on lips. I love this one in particular.

Low Light Silver is a silvery-pink in the tube, but apples to the lips almost colorless with tons of shimmer and shine :) It has silvery frost in it, but it creates the same look as Filtered Yellow, Chicky, Crystal Beach and White Hot on my lips (YMMV - I have highly pigmented lips and am an olive GGG/MMM). It packs some serious frost, but I find that frost adds dimension and a punch of *oomph* to my pout :) I took too long to buy this

I like Low Light Silver because it really changes the color of lipsticks. If you have something a bit not, well right, this can completely cool down a warm shade, or lighten a too deep shade. While it's a bit too opaque and silver for me to wear alone, I find it's fun to put over lipsticks for added shimmer, especially if you're going from a day to night sort of look.

Like all lipglass stains, it has a slight lemony-citrus scent.

Frankly, this lipstain looks disgusting on my medium pigmented lips and MMM skin. At Nordstroms, it seemed like a pretty subtle silvery pink lipstain, but I tried it on and cannot get it to look good on me--it just makes me look dead and odd. I tried it on several lipliners but have yet to try it with lipsticks. I can't imagine wearing it much though. I guess I'll play around with it more and see if I can get it to work and will update if I do *keeping fingers crossed*. *update: eh i returned it. made my lips look pornstar-ish*

I am in love with this one! I have 3 stockpiled in my stash of glosses! I apply it very sparingly though because if you overdo it, you get a silvery thick mess on your lips. I love layering this over lipsticks..it adds a beautiful mild silvery sheen which I love!

I ordered this without ever trying it on. It looked so pretty in the tube that I just hoped it would work for me. I was so excited when I finally got to try it on and to my surprise I loved it! It looks really pretty by itself or over another lipstick, my favorite is over Jubilee.

Got this today from a lovely MUAer who did a huge MAC CP for me :-) It's a great sparkly nude pink infused with silver. Like someone else that reviewed this said, it'll look better when my tan is darker this summer! But it is a great color for every day use; I'd definitely recommend it! Limited Edition; so get it soon if you want to try it.

A light pink with silver cast - not a bad shade for me, but not needed. I hate tubes I have to use a separate lip brush for anyways - this can go on kinda sheer with a light cilver cast, or fairly thick and frosty depending on how you apply. Really helps my pinky lipsticks stay true to color and not turn fushia - BUT, to me, not all that different than a way cheap Bonne Bell lip shake that I own. Not really a unique color to me and something I won't use much.

This is a really pale pinkish silver colored gloss, which I bought on a whim. I like the color, but you have to put it on thin, or it gets that cakey frosted look to it. Also, if you put it on too thick, it really washes you out. However, a nice thin layer makes your lips look fresh and sexy. Overall pretty good. It mixes really nice with just about any shade of lipstick to give it a different look.
