The only foundation I've continued to repurchase. Lasts all day, and has great coverage. My t-zone can get oily after a few hours and with most foundations I end up with a noticeably shiny nose and i have to reapply, but I've never had that problem with this foundation. It is slightly more pricey than the drugstore foundations I used to buy, but it's well worth paying the extra few pounds for something of this quality. What's more because of the great coverage I don't have to apply as much as I do with other foundations so I don't have to repurchase as often. The foundation has never caused me any breakouts and it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. Make sure you colour test before purchasing as I am usually the lightest colour available however in this foundation warm almond is my best match, which surprised me, as looking at the bottle I would have said its too dark for my skin, however it matches perfectly.

I really do like this product. What with my annoyingly acne-prone skin, it gives great coverage without making my face feel cake-y. Light and easy to apply, I would most certainly buy this again!

This foundation really does what it says on the tin, it covers your imperfections, even red angry spots, and lasts a long time. It really does last ages. And it doesn't make me look shiny which is usually a problem for me when using liquid foundations especially on my forehead. If you like a matte finish, you would probably love this. The price isn't too bad for the quality of the product, I'd be willing to pay it. I have extremely pale skin and the palest foundation matched my skin tone well. After finding what seemed like the perfect foundation for my skin, I found out that Max Factor test on animals. I think I'd feel too guilty to repurchase due to this, I don't agree with animal testing. Which is a shame, because if it wasn't for that I think I would've found my HG foundation and given this 5 lippies rather than 4.

This foundation really took my by surprise. I've always used high end foundations, up until a horrible reaction last year I was a loyal MAC girl so I took a chance with this as it was on offer in Boots.
Its actually one of my favourites I've ever used! I'm very oily and it controls it beautifully, I don't even really need touch ups during the day. It doesn't oxidise or slip off, great staying power and fab colour range although make sure you test them thoroughly as I -being as pale as I am- match best with the shade warm almond which is very odd for me!
I can see why those with dryer skins have issues but if you're very oily like me, this could well be a must buy. Give it a go :)

It was ok at first try, but after two days my skin became terribly flaky and itchy. I tried to moisturise my face first before trying but still no improvement. I immediately stopped using it and my skin becomes normal again. Very disappointing in the product, I still have the bottle full.

I gave this two stars because the coverage and finish is nice, however this makes my pores look so noticeable and my skin dry and flaky and my skin is not dry or flaky.

Okay, I need to firstly explain my 1 Lipstick rating; since realising Max Factor tests their products on animals (a Proctor and Gamble company) a while AFTER I bought this, I feel that I cannot give anymore than 1. I'm going to review it anyway as I want to try and use it up so I'm not wasting product/money, but I shall NOT be repurchasing again.
*If this was a non-cruelty product, my overall rating would be 3 out of 5.*
I have very mixed feelings about the product itself. I purchased this foundation in Warm Almond after hearing about its staying power and good coverage, in which it definitely delivers, but there a few cons to overcome before achieving this...
I like to apply foundation with my fingers, as I can get a quicker result and like to feel the product as It's being applied. The first con I noticed was how difficult it is to blend, and it becomes patchy quickly around my nose, cheeks and neck. I exfoliate my skin every other day and moisturise religiously and have never had this problem with any other foundation. I think this is down to the formula itself drying/setting too quickly. I even tried to use my Real Techniques stippling brush to apply this, and the result was even worse.
HOWEVER, when I've eventually spent too long making it look good on my skin, it does give a good coverage and stays on my oily t-zone longer than any foundation I've ever tried (inc. Revlon colourstay). It almost makes the task of applying it seem worth it.
The finish isn't a natural one, but no medium-heavy coverage foundation looks natural anyway, and I also wouldn't describe it as being flawless either. You DEFINITELY need to moisturise before applying this, as it can make dry patches even dryer as it's quite mattifying.
To conclude, the foundation is more hassle than it's worth, but the colour is a good match.

Was quite disappointed with this product considering a lot of people were boasting about how amazing it was.
I purchased it a while ago at Boots, a make up artist "matched" it according to my skin type etc. Unfortunately it looked terrible on me, it was quite orange for me and it looked really silly when you compared face to my chest. Another thing i noticed was it made my skin extremely flakey on the nose, chin and forehead mostly. I exfoliated, moisturized etc before applying as well!
Definitely will not be purchasing Max Factor foundations again.

Because of my extremely pale skin, it's hard for me to find foundations that match my skintone without looking to orange or pink (I have slight yellow undertones). Previous to this foundation I had been using illamasqua skin base in no. 3, which was okay butpricey and I wanted something more affordable.I'm always sceptical of buying high street foundations because they're always the wrong colour, bit I tried the lightest shade (soft ivory) in the shop and it looked almost identical to my skin! At £10 it's much better than my skin base foundation which was £28. It's also a much nicer consistency, glides onto my skin and covers my horrible acne scars. It's thick But not cakey and I can barely feel that it's there! Only downside is that it's a little too pink for me, although I have some yellow powder which I use over the top to neutralise the colour.this might be my new HG, I hope so because so far is the best foundation I've used so far!

LOVE! I am constantly buying new foundations yet I always seem to drift back to this one, it really is what it says on the packaging. It primes my face really well, as well as conceals, and finally is a good foundation. If my skin is having a good week (no spots) then I could easily go out wearing this foundation on it's own or with a powder over the top. Love this product xxx

I really, really dont like this foundation. ive been really wanting to try the Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation but that doesnt get released in Australia until the end of the year, so i was in Priceline the other day and saw this which has the same kinda concept so i thought id give it a go.
i've never been a fan of max factor and now i remember why. this stuff dries so fast, you really have to apply it quickly and you cant layer it without looking extreamly cakey. i found that if i dont blend it out enough it leaves patches on my face which isnt cute. at the end of the day when i checked my face to see how it looked it was patchy and horrible oh and made me broke out terribly. will NOT be repurchasing ever again

High coverage product, can be quite thick in places, less is definitely more with this product. nice in winter but too thick for summer.
once again ensure you check colour in proper day light.

I love this foundation! My EL double wear recently changed it's shades and it sparked a foundation hunting mission in me where I suddenly went a bit crazy and tested around 7 new foundations! This goes on so smoothly with excellent coverage. I set it with a light powder like estee lauder lucidity loose powder/mineral veil and then it is the perfect base for bronzer and blush. It has a matte to semi matte finish which lasts at least 10 hours. I wouldn't go back to double wear now even if they still had my shade. The fact that this foundation has a built in primer and conceals so well means that it's perfect to put on quickly in the morning before work and be confident that the flawless coverage will last all day. Sometimes I add Mac strobe cream underneath for a slightly more glowing effect.

I bought this foundation thinking it would be perfect, so I didn't have to buy primer, concealer etc.
I have red skin with quite a few spots, plus combination skin too, and for best results I used about three pumps. It looked a bit cakey, but when I used a sponge it looked a little better. Some redness still showed through but overall the coverage was okay, just the cakiness of it was quite annoying. After a couple of hours it had slightly faded (though it lasts the day), and that looked better.
Overall, I probably won't buy this again, not because it's bad, it's quite good, but I just think there are more foundations that will give a better look.

I bought this product because I used the Soft Resistant Makeup before and the lightest one really fit me, no orange undertone or anything.
I have very fair skin which I actually like to highlight because of my dark hair and bright eyes so I am really not into that tanned look at all. But the lightest shade of this makes me look like I didn't have the right light at home while I do my makeup because you look really orange afterwards. I thought I give it a try because I liked the Soft Resistant but it does not have a lot of coverage so thought this would be it, but it isn't. Packaging is okay, gets easily dirty and the price is like the rest of the Max Factor foundations but seems pricy when you bought it for nothing (light in the drugstore was not right when I checked it :)
So long term short: If you are very fair and like to stay that way, this foundation is nothing for you

This is okay. I got a free sample of this, tried it and actually really liked it. The colour was a perfect match, actually my exact skin tone, which is unusual. I went and bought it, as it was on sale and ridiculously cheap.
Was happy with it for a while, but started noticing how it got into my pores and left me with white dots on my face. I do not have large pores, and my skin is very clear. I might try it again when it's not as cold outside, maybe it just froze on my skin. Anyway, foundations from other brands behave better on me.

I was never fan of Max Factor foundations. So i expected that this will be just another disappointment for me. Well, I'm very surprised! This foundation stays all day long without making me flaky or cakey. It has medium coverage witch is very buildable (I never had a foundation which was so nice buildable), so it is true, that you can use it as a concealer, too. I need no under-eye concealer or spot-concealer. Just apply this foundation, than apply second or third (etc. :D) layer and you're done.
The finish is matte, but not super-matte. I don't need powder with this foundation (this is my first foundation that I use without powder... just with bronzer and blush). I don't need touch-ups for about 4-5 hours which is great for my oily and acne prone skin. It doesn't break me out (and that's very important for me, because a lot of foundations broke me out).
The bottle is nice, the pump works well. I apply this foundation with my fingers and it works for me very well. It smells a little bit floral, but after 5-10 second the smell just evaporate. Consistency is liquid, not very thin and not very thick, blends easily and don't dries very fast. It feels very very light on the skin, it doesn't make me dry or feeling like I need to wash my face immediately. It's not sticky, I can say it becomes a little bit powdery, so it can be very good for normal - oily skin types.
If I can compare this foundation to the other, it definitely reminds me the new Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing foundation - with one difference - Dior makes my dryer parts of skin feeling tight and doesn't stay more that 6-8 hours. This foundation stay definitely more that 8 hours and doesn't come off so quickly. And it's 55€ vs. 15€! I like my Dior, too... but as a drugstore foundation this is a big surprise for me.
CONS:
1. The lightest shade available in my country (45 Warm Almond) is a little bit darker for my skin, so I have to apply it on my neck as well. But it would be great in summer.
2. It makes your pores a little bit more visible after a few hours (I don't have big pores so for me it's OK, but people who struggle with this problem could be upset).
I'm still trying new foundations, but I would repurchase again if I don't find my holy-grail makeup. Totally recommend this (or you can just give a try). Sorry for mistakes, I don't speak English very well. I hope my review helps you at least a little bit. ;-)

When I first tried this foundation I seemed to really like it. I finally found a color that matched my very light skin tone and it felt okay on my skin. Then after a few hours I looked in the mirror and I saw how horrible my skin looked! It had gotten very very dry. Also, I looked like I a glowing light bulb in pictures, which probably means the colour was too light for me (this is can be a plus! But I didn't like the effect and if I would purchase this foundation again (which I probably won't) I would choose a darker colour. I tried everything; scrubbing, moisturizing, changing my night/day cream, but nothing stopped this foundation from really drying my skin. I think it's a pity my skin isn't more oily, as the colour and especially the coverage are really good.

This is an awesome foundation. The coverage is very good, I'd say medium but definitely medium. The only thing that bothers me are the colours but hey, that's just in my country. I'm wearing the lightest shade available here - nude 47 and it's a little too dark for me for the winter. In spring I think it'd be great. It also has an SPF 20 which is really high for foundations and can never hurt. It also promises a primer, concealer and foundation in one but I have to wear a primer but it may work as a concealer, I just never tried it. It doesn't break me out (I have a very oily skin) and it keeps my skin mat through the whole day. A great foundation.
