My favorite eye shadow! Just re-discovered it in the bottom of my makeup bag, and I am almost out. Went to go get more and found out that it has been discontinued :(

Another great shade in BB's shimmerwash formula: Bronze Shimmerwash is a medium toned, neutral bronze with brown undertones, and as some reviewers have noted, a hint of olive. Very complex and pretty and since it is neutral it can be worn by many different skin tones and eye colors. Unfortunately, Bronze is another example of great versatile shades that have been discontinued! Recently Rock and Ash Shimmerwash were taken out, and now Bronze. Too bad, Bronze would have been a definite repurchase for me.

One of my favorite Bobbi Brown shadows, a bronzey brown which brings out the blue in my eyes. It is not reddish, or muddy, or gray, but a rich bronze color which I use on the lid and up into the crease. There is a slight sheen to it and it looks very classy.
I would buy it again but this shadow will last forever. This eyeshadow is a bit pricey but you get a lot of product for the cost. There is some fallout which is a bit annoying to deal with in the undereye area (tried doing corrector/concealer after eyeshadow but it worked out worse that way). So I give this product 4 lippies but it is one of her best shades for me and I recommend it for almost any eye color because it is such a rich saturated hue.

I love this one, its looks really natural on my brown eyes when worn alone. However, when I pair it with Sage its gives such an high impact yet does not scream for attention (a bad one that is). Makes my brown eyes larger, more awake and noticeable. Loveee!

Bronze is described on the Bobbi Brown website as "bronzed brown," but I agree with other reviewers here that it has a bit of olive or khaki in it. Personally, I have to use it with a light hand and blend it with other shades in order to make it work, but when I do mix it, it blends nicely and gives a great effect. It has excellent texture just like Bobbi's other shadows.

I LOVE this colour. I have been looking for a brown to sweep over my whole lid and this does the job beautifully. I usually go for more pinky browns, but this suits me waaay better. The shadow goes on nice and evenly and lasts all day. It is a golden brown. I will never be without this colour! I just hate the screw top lid....UPDATE Removed 2 lippies. This shadow has creased every time I wear it. At first I thought it was just that I had too much cream on my lids or something. I haven't had a powder shadow crease on me in years! Not even the cheap ones! And I never wear a primer. You shouldn't have to. I am sad as I love the colour. I'll still wear it, but a BB product should be better than that.

Big old "I'm lovin it" for this one. It's a sheer light to medium warm golden brown with no red tones to it. Someone said this is like MAC Patina - I do not find that to be true - it's more golden than Patina. Suberb quality and blendability. I love it with the Bone shimmerwash and a tad bit of Mahogany in the outer corner. I was thinking this would be darker, but I am really glad it's not.

This is a gorgeous and surprising versatile shade! My usual go-to BB shade for a polished daily look is Beige (a light slightly gold champagne similar to Urban Decay Sin but less frosty). I like that I can wear Beige by itself or as a light wash over other colors (usually neutrals or greys) to tone them down or make them appear more blended. I wanted a similar functioning shade that was more brown or bronze for days when I do warmer, more brown looks. This is perfect! It's very light yet buildable. I tried it by itself and over other darker brown shades (as described above). I was surprised to find that it also works well on top of grey or taupe shades (like the colors in BB Stonewashed Nudes). The texture is amazing, very soft and finely milled. I am very impressed with this shadow. The price is a bit high for a single eyeshadow, but I doubt I will need to re-purchase given the amount of product they provide. I am so impressed with the BB brand and am eager to try more shades!

This is probably my most consistently used shadow, The color was described prefectly by womanwarrior below - a light bronze with gold/olive tones. This looks beautiful with my blue eyes. I love that it's a subtle color that doesn't look overdone but still provides definition. It's a very versitile color - can be worn all over the lid as a soft wash for day or can be built up a little more with a darker crease color for a night-time bronze eye. I've paired it with everything from ivory to dark brown to dark plum - very versatile. In terms of quailty, BB is the only shadow I've found that I can wear without a base & it still does not crease. The texture is smooth & silky, and the shimmer is more of a glow than outright glitter or metallic look. (BB shimmerwashes are my favorite shimmery shadows as they're understated & glowy.) I have the round, screw-top packaging (which I'm not crazy about). When I run out, I will definitely repurchase (now the square flip-top packaging that is a little more expensive.)

When I first got Bobbi Brown Bronze, I was a little disappointed in that the color is a bit sheerer and lighter than the name implies. Bronze is more of a medium brown shade with golden olive undertones and very finely milled shimmer. There are no orange, pink or copper undertones -- none -- so it will not give you the dreaded pink-eye look. You will not see any frostiness or flecks of sparkles. But now that I am looking for more natural makeup looks, Bronze is perfect. It can be applied lightly as an all-over lid color, or built up to define the crease. This is great paired with BB Champagne or Bone shimmerwash and a bit of Bronze or Espresso gel liner.

This is a neutral, tarnished khaki gold color with a low-key sheen. It's in the same color family as Jane's Magical Mushroom, and two very close dupes for Bronze S/W are MAC's Patina and Becca's Satin. I have all three and can't see a significant difference between 'em.
The texture is nice, sort of rich and velvety, though not quite as nice as Cargo, Chanel, Scott Barnes, or even MAC's Veluxe Pearls. I'd say it's closest to Becca in terms of quality. It applies a bit sheerly but can be built up in intensity, though it never really gets that dark on me (light, yellow undertones). I love wearing this on the lid and blended slightly into the crease and outer V with Smoke drawn onto the lash line (I have the split pan). It's such a classic, understated-yet-sexy daytime look that can easily be made more dramatic with a darker crease color and more liner. (Although if you're only interested in Bronze and want to save a few bucks, try MAC's Patina.)

Beautiful eye shadow! I purchased this as I was looking for a sheer wash for my eye lids; I typically don't wear much eye make up as I have almond shaped deep set eyes. They're quite dramatic on their own and too much makeup makes them look a bit too narrow. I went to the BB counter to find something for my complexion now that I've lost my summer color; she tried this on me and I was very pleasantly surprised at the gold bronze sheen it left on eye lids. A perfect wash and makes my green eyes pop!

MAC NW15 to 20, hazel/green eyes, medium brown hair with a little gray (LOL): The only reason I didn't give this a "5" rating is because it isn't a terribly unique shade. However, I give it "props" for not turning orange on me and for brightening up my lids with a soft glow. I paired it with Petal Shimmer Wash on the brow bone, and it turned out to be a uniquely pretty combination! As usual, the texture is like buttered silk, and it lasted nearly 10 hours over UD PP.

I'm such a Bobbi Brown Gal! I have been using Bobbi, for nine years. Bronze Shimmer wash, is so pretty with my dark brown eyes. I highlight it with Bone Shimmer wash, and Black Ink gel liner. The shadow lasts all day, and it goes on easily. I will repurchase this, when it runs out.

DESCRIPTION Overall, Bobbi Brown eyeshadows are butter soft but not powdery, can be built up from the lightest wash to incredibly strong lines, have so much product so the price is reasonable, and wear. like. iron. I do think the matte and the Shimmerwash formulations are slightly different. I prefer the matte formulations because I’m able to build up to a very intense color, but I love the Shimmerwash colors.
COLOR Bronze Shimmerwash is a lovely light golden bronze with enough shimmer for dimension, but so finely milled that it’s more of a glow than a visible light-rippling effect. I love this color, but it has the propensity to make me look tired if I’m not careful about matching it with other colors. With Mahogany, it makes a lovely professional eye. With Stila Pigalle, it’s vaguely non-conformist in a very tasteful manner. I think if I were just a touch warmer, or if the shadow were a touch darker/cooler, it would be HG status, but as it stands, not quite.
OVERALL The quality is magnificent, and I could not ask for more. The price is quite reasonable given the large, large pans and the high color payoff that only needs a little product. Unfortunately, I can only give it 4 stars because the color is not perfect for me. It’s a lovely shade, and it looks wonderful paired with others, but I can’t wear it on its own.
FYR I am Asian, with neutral-warm, NC-20ish, with small pores and slightly oily skin. I have black hair which I have (attempted) to dye a dark red, and very dark brown eyes.

I have this Bronze Shimmer Wash along with BB Smoke in a split pan duo. I am surprised I haven't commented on this, because I really LIKE this combo! This is definitely my favorite of all my BB shadows, and therefore, the most used. I use the Smoke as a liner (wet), and it pretty much lasts all day. The Bronze Shimmer makes a nice wash! It is sheerer than it appears in the pan, making it passable for daytime wear. I don't think Bronze Shimmer is too glittery or shimmery at all for daily use- a definite plus! I have MAC and Milani shadows (not to mention that awful Stila Kitten!) that are far more shimmery and glittery for daytime use than BB Bronze Shimmer! This shadow gets a big, thumbs up from me!

A Bobbi Brown MA put this on me during a makeover. At first I was terrified, as this looks very gold and frosty in the pot. I couldn't believe a BB MA was going to send me out looking like I just auditioned for Dance Fever. Luckily this goes on a bit softer and more subtle than I expected. As I said, it's more of a golden bronze than a copper or brown bronze. The MA said it really brings out blue eyes and I admit it does. This is nice for an evening look but by my conservative standards it's a bit too gold and shimmery for daytime. I really wish Bobbi would go to the flip top packaging. Not only do you have to keep track of a lid, but I find that some of the lids are difficult to screw back on. It's a real pain. Update: I had to give up on this eyeshadow. The shimmer particles flake off and end up all over my cheekbones and sometimes in my eyes. I love the color but there are too many eyeshadows that don't flake. I'm going to try BB's new cream eyeshadow in Burnished, which sounds like it might be similar.

This is one of those products where I wish there was a "maybe" option under the repurchase question. When I wear it alone on my lids it sometimes makes me look tired, but it does look nice as a wash over darker crease colors and it can also work for a smokey eye if it is layered enough. It is pretty pricey, so unless I find some more uses for it, I probably won't repurchase. Although the container is so huge, I would probably never need to!
