Fabulous colour, easy to apply. I team it with Mac Lipstick Russian Red. I fill the entire lip area with liner which I think makes the colour look cooler or darker, perfect for an evening or winters day.

Mac truly has the corner on the red lipstick market and this liner is a winner. I really don't think that it pairs with Ruby Woo at all: Ruby Woo is a blue based red and is sooo matte I wonder why anyone would even use a liner with it (??) As for the Brick liner- it is so creamy I like to wear it alone. Perfect warm red for me as I am fair/olive skinned. For a different look I dab on a bit of Viva Glam gloss . To me, this color is basically identical to Viva Glam 1 lipstick, which I also use without a liner because it really doesn't need one. I hate the look of the obvious "liner plus lipstick" look. Some lipsticks stand alone, and this liner looks fabulous alone, too! Helps cut the cost for cost conscious shoppers. Will definitely repurchase.

I just bought this to go with Ruby Woo. Perfect combination! Together they give me a full, sexy red pout.
Age: 44-55 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium, Warm Hair: Blond, Curly, Fine Eyes: Hazel
It feels like a lot of money, but it lasts forever, even through eating; the color is consistent and PERFECT; and it makes me look like I have lips!
It's really hard to find yellow-based reds. Brick is red enough to stand on its own and/or under gloss and brown enough to neutralize any too-blue lipstick with which I might get stuck.
I only wish it were available in a retractable form. Sometimes ya just don't wanna tote around a sharpener! That and the simplicity of the packaging are what caused the 3 rating. There's nothing WRONG with the quality, but it's not this drop-dead stuff, either!

It's a good product, but I've seen cheaper red lip pencils that does a comparable job.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Normal, Fair, Neutral Hair: Red, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Blue
Great liner - purchased to go with Viva Glam I.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination, Dark, Warm Hair: Black, Relaxed, Coarse Eyes: Brown
I use this to line my lips with Ruby Woo or Viva Glam l. This lipliner is perfect if you just want a lined up lip with out it being to bright and standing out, taking over your lipstick. It does not smear it will stay in place or blend if you need it to.

I'd have to admit, I strayed away from this lip liner because I felt that there were other dupes out there for cheaper the price and boy was I wrong! Brick's shade is what I'd consider *that* classic red lip pin-up look. The longevity of this lip liner is amazing. It glides on easily and the color stays in place. It is long wearing enough where my lips would still be slightly red once wiped off with a baby wipe. I don't own a lot of red lip products as I mainly use Brick with OCC's Lip Tar in NSFW, but the two combined together for me is AMAZING!
When compared to other red lip liners by MAC, Brick is more blue-based, Redd is more orange-based and while Cherry is also blue-based, it is slightly lighter than Brick.
I have also used NYX's lip liner in Hot Red. While it has a good consistency, the color is slightly lighter and less blue-based than Brick.

I am amazed. I normally wear almost exclusively pinks, corals or a mix of both, and am now branching into deeper red families, i.e. Heartless, Toxic Tale, & red-oranges ala Vegas Volt or Revlon's Strawberry Fields (Lady Danger dupe). I have tested the waters with each of these paired with Brick & I believe now that this liner is a true chameleon! Yes, at first glance the color is shriekingly bright; but carefully applied then brush blended takes away the overkill factor. I can also pair this with softer (on me) colors such as Ravishing, one of my every day go-to's. Brick has become my most used liner & has won a permanent spot in my makeup bag. I'll most certainly repurchase when the time comes.

Great intense warm red lip-liner. Works marvelously when applied on the entire lip under similar-toned red lipsticks (e.g. Mac Red and Russian Red), enabling them to stay put without any bleeding all night long. I've also worn it many times on its own after conditioning my lips, or with a clear gloss over it for a more dramatic effect. Being a very intense color, it tends to stand out and add up to the color you apply over it; this is definitely a pro when it comes to topping it off with warm reds to match, but it refuses to cooperate with slightly cooler reds like Ruby Woo which is my favorite, meaning if you fill in your lip with Brick to help Ruby Woo stick around longer, it looks as if you've just applied Russian Red because the warmth of the lip liner comes through and makes the cool tones of the lipstick shut up. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I mean if one wants to go for a cool red lip they should use a cool red base like Cherry lip liner under their cool red lipstick, I'm just clarifying that this is not a handy basic red lip liner to carry around in your purse that will prove versatile for a bunch of red looks - no, this looks good applied under a very specific type of red. Recommended.

Like many others, I use this along with the russian red lipstick. It gives me nice results and keeps everything in place.
I haven't tried many other lipliners before, so I don't know how it compares to others, but as long as I'm satisfied, that's all I need to know ^^.
For 14 Euros (the lipsticks are 18 euros over here) it is a decent product I really like to use for a fair price.
If I ever run out of it I will probably repurchase.

I just bought this lip liner to pair with Mac Russian Red lipstick. It is my fav red lip liner now, easy to apply and makes my lipstick last really long, but i think for a lip liner it is expensive.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair, Warm Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Blue
Super creamy, great pigmentation and blends really well with all my classic reds (ie. russian red). Great lasting power.
Age: 44-55 Skin: Combination, Fair, Warm Hair: Blond, Fine Eyes: Blue
A liner i'll use with all my retro reds inc ruby woo, russian red,mac red, viva glam I
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination, Fair, Neutral Hair: Red Eyes: Green
This is my HG red lipliner. I find it blends well with all my favourite red shades, has really good pigmentation, is creamy, and prolongs the life of my lipstick. I like it so much that I often wear this alone with a dab of gloss over top.

I bought this today based on the rec' of the MUA. Not for my lips, but to cover a tattoo on my wrist. I have a job interview, and while I will wear a watch, I need something for a couple of spots that kinda stick out. She used this to counteract the blue-black, and then tapped the concealer on. It works!!! I had to get a sample of the concealer, as it is not a color I would use on my face-but I am amazed! She said not for use with large areas or long term, but a temp. solution. ***EDIT*** I could not get this to work! It ended up a smeary mess. Returned this because I don't generally wear red lippies. Changed the ratings because they were based on the intended use.

My fave lipliner ever. A warm sexy color. A must have for my HG red lipstick trifecta, Dubonnet, Classic Dame, Viva Glam I.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Dry, Fair Hair: Brown Eyes: Blue
I use this with MAC's Russian Red & MAC Red, i have also used it with MAC's Ruby Woo.It, IMO, works well with most reds - i line my lips before i apply the lipstick with a brush - i know some people use the liner afterwards.I found it a bit hard to use at the start but now i find if the pencil is kept warm it works very smoothly, no tugging & a crisp line can be achieved. It is a little expensive - i pay €14 - but the pen is a little longer than most lipliners.I did find the "lead" in my pencil broken in one place (the colour part & it fell out of the pencil) and i had to sharpen it again which used up a lot of my pencil. Its a good colour match & this is why i will probably re-purchase but if a cheaper dupe thats as versatile for red lipsticks can be found i will stray!

Easy to apply, keeps l/s in line, love it. I wear it with russian red and I find that it matches just fine. I've never had the tip crack or snap when sharpening like d/s... which is most important to me as I have little patience.
Age: 36-43 Skin: Oily, Fair, Warm Hair: Blond, Straight, Fine Eyes: Green
I use this with Viva Glam I lipstick, and occasionally with a red lip gloss. It's a nice red color that goes on smoothly without tugging.
