I got this as a gift for my 15th birthday (I'm 20 now).
When I started to wear this I smelled of fresh lemon and jasmine, I really liked it, but got easily bored by it.
I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but, the reason why I really stopped using it was because it transformed into an horrible stench of old, dry fruits and MUSTY flowers. This still happens on my LAME LAME skin, It smells delicious on my mom, I gave it to her, I wish this ever smelled as gorgeous on me as it does to her chemistry ):

I usually try a new scent every summer (a Chance devotee in winter) and this was it for me this year. I prefer pleasant, fresh, unassuming fragrances for everyday in summer as it is humid and hot in coastal NE FL. This fit the bill, a light, watery, cucumber-y, just "nice" EDT for me. Not long lasting at all though (not many are on me, I am a fragrance sponge). Might try the Parfum d'Ete or Bobbi Brown Beach next go round.

This is def a very pure, green, and fresh scent. But unfortunately it doesn't last very long on me. :( But it does smell lovely while it lasts.

My first aquatic scent ever. I love it. It smells very citrusy but light.

If you truly want a FRESH scent you've got put this on to your radar, considering this seems like an underground scent.


At first it comes of lemony, which is a bit different for me. I love this perfume from the top, base to the heart notes, typically it starts strong and softens up a lot. This is an EDT so I don't expect this to last forever, meaning it doesn't stay on my skin for that long. That's to be expected though.


Overall, I actually really like this, it's quite unique. I like that this is somewhat of a mellow scent but it still shines from a lot of other perfumes or toilettes out there.

This scent is perfection! I think everyone has that "signature" scent. Forget Light Blue, Daisy, or Coco Mademoiselle. This is where it's at for me. It's light, fresh, and feminine, without being too girly. It smells like I just stepped out of the shower, smelling fantastic. I'm a big fan of "watery" fragrances, and although Aqua di Gio is a close second, I like the mint in this over the soft floral in Gio. It feels a bit more modern. Although it's not the most long lasting scent, but it stays with me enough to keep me happy. I've been thinking about keeping the smaller bottle in my purse to touch up throughout the day. Still, it's the perfect scent on me. I get so many compliments. It's something that I'll always have in my fragrance collection.

Hmm, I'm convinced I can't wear any aquatic scents. This one smells very wet green on me. I'm reminded of algae, of rotting vegetation in still water, like the water in a vase that has been sitting around too long, but sweet on top of that. When it fades, it loses some of the ickiness and is much more pleasant, but I have to tolerate the initial unpleasantness to get to a scent that is merely okay on me. The Kenzo line is pretty much hit or miss with me.

I am generally not a fan of this one. It is a wet floral/green mix. It is very subtle and discreet with poor staying power. Good for spring/summer days when you cannot handle anything with more personality but not good enough to purchase a full bottle ( I will just enjoy my mini).

Wow. I smell fantastic. And, for me at least, the scent is long-lasting.
My first Kenzo purchase, as I negatively associate Kenzo with an ex best friend, but I had to smell it, and then I had to buy it.
Great, perfect, summer day-scent. Was using Beach from Bobbi Brown, but my husband HATED it. The Kenzo still conjures up a clean, beachy-type... thing for me.

Hi all,

Im quite a perfume freak with a very sensitive nose. I can figure out the subtlest of notes, I dont know whats the origin of that note but I can tell where it transports me to.
This one takes me to a lake surrounded by shady trees...Long lush green grass with thick and jucy stems. I can smell lotus and such a beautiful big white lotus and I can smell young leaves of a lemontree fresh green juicy leaves. It begins with the citrus note in the morning and I get the lotus note more prominent after a few hours. On me it STAYS..I work for 13 hours ..and it Stays. this the quality of Kenzo perfumes. Even at work I can smell it on me and it transports me to my imaginery holiday destination immediately....Its beauty and a bare beauty..lying amidst grass. all my friends love it

I LOVE this perfume! I have been using it for a few years now, and I absolutely love the scent. It's a very light scent, and does not give me a headache after a few hours like most perfumes do. It's a little hard to find, however, because I don't think they sell it in department stores. But they have it in Sephora and Ulta (I think).

For those reviews who say that the scent does not last, I don't think that's true. I think you just get used to it after awhile, so you don't smell it anymore (but others do!). This is true for a lot of perfumes.

I was really excited to try it bc of the amazing deal on ebay. I opened the package and was really impressed with the bottle. sprayed the it received huge a hit of citrus and cucumber. It made me nauseous the whole day :(

I LOVE this scent! I tend to avoid anything overpowering or "perfumey", as those scents tend to give me headaches, so this is just right, it's very light, pleasant, and very natural and cool, with light florals and citrus, with a hint of grass and mint. A lot of reviewers seem to have a problem with staying power on this one, but I didn't at all, it seemed about average to me. It is such a light scent that it might be easy to miss if you're used to wearing something stronger, but it still lasted, at least on me. Highly recommended!

This is one of my favourite fragrances to wear on a daily basis. I must say I'm really peculiar with smells and get tired of them really easily. I envy people that use a perfume their whole lives and it becomes a reflection of their personality. I can't really see myself buying a perfume for the second time. However L'Eau par Kenzo is so pleasant and soft I probably could.
This is a fresh fragrance, not overly feminine nor floral, but a green smell. It's not intoxicating and it doesn't give me headaches on the first sniff. In fact it's one of the few that I can spray more than once and not feel overwhelmed. So if you aren't keen on fragrances that are too intense, this might be for you, it's almost like putting on a fresh piece of clothing that you love.

This is beautiful aquatic floral. Generally, i prefer richer scents but this one is really lovely. Notes: bergamot, jasmine and freesia. The middle notes are: citrus, ylang-ylang and patchouli and the base of the fragrance is: cedar, sandalwood and oakmoss.
I stumbled on it several years ago at Sephora and immediately fell in love. To me this smells like what you would imagine water would smells like. I always picture beaches and wind blowing through my hair
Very watery and fresh but still still has a sweetness to it that takes away the zestiness. Perfect balance. Patchouli is not my fave, lot of frags that have it, i can smell right away and not in a good way. I don't really notice it here. All the floral notes are bleded in such a way that I can't distingush between them yet it creates amazing airy watery scent. I'd give 5 for the smell but taking away the lippie because lasting power is beyond bad. It lasts less than 15 min on my skin and i went through several bottle at alarming rate(which is telling because i have at least 20 frag and hardly ever finish one). That's my only complaint.
P.S H loves it-i was wearing it when we met so he always buy it for me:)

I like this scent very much, it's very fresh and clean smelling and it has good staying power.

The scent on me is a very clean flowery water kind of smell, sorry Im not better at detecting specific scent notes, but it's pleasant, fresh and clean. It's very safe, and I think it would work for any kind of person for daytime wear, from teenager to grandma. Which brings me to my only negative: It is a little boring at times.

I don't feel like the scent has any depth, it smells like it does out of the bottle and it stays like that. I guess thats good for some, and I do like to wear this on days where I don't know what else to wear, but yeah...

If youre looking for a good quality, clean kind of scent with good staying power, this is a good choice. But if youre easily bored like me, you can't rely on this as your only fragrance option, it's too anonymous in the long run.

The bottle is big and heavy, but it looks great!

This is my no. 1 of all times))) I went through like 4 of them, the 1st time I got this perfume was aroung 9 years ago, but even before that my mum used to use it....love it so much(finished my last bottle and can't find another one in Ireland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Its a really fresh kind of smell!!!!!Lemony with a bit of flower...light and fresh!!!Staying power is ok....but I don't mind it as long as the smell is good!!!
If you like fresh, light scents this one is for you!!!
Would def. buy it again(if I find it:(()))

this is my perfume
ive tried all different kinds and always come back to this one. i like that no one can really smell it unless they get close. and in my opinion i think thats so much more intriging than a perfume that punches you in the face when someone walks into a room.
your natural body smell (if you have good hygiene) is nice! why try to completely eclipse it with some strong perfume.
it smells fresh and clean. a lil strong at first but then it dies down and smells lovely.
my only gripe might be that it doesnt last too long, but long enough i suppose. it would be perfect if it had a lil bit more staying power :-/
overall, really nice! i love it!

I got this from a friend as a random gift. To that person... THANKS!! I really love it! :) Went down to Sephora here in Hong Kong to check out the sales and bought this for me as a gift. Hehe!

The gift set includes the L'eau Par Kenzo Eau De Toilette in 100mL and the Body Gel.

I love every piece from this gift set! The body gel has a very light scent, and the fragrance, even though others say that it doesn't stay that long, I think it's ok. It stays around half a day without respraying it again.

It has a very light citrus scent which I really, really love. I am not really a perfume person, I just spray perfume very seldom, because my nose is very sensitive to scents. Once, me and my friend went perfume scouting at Sasa and I went home with a skull-breaking migraine. That's why after that, I would never do that again! LOL!

I remember my first encounter with this scent was when I was a sophomore in high school. I always get complimented in Kenzo and for awhile it became my "signature" scent... But like all our other first loves, I strayed & tried other colognes. I just bought a big bottle recently because I got tired of the vanilla scents I've been wearing everyday. This is a clean -not too flowery fragrance that is light and ideal for warm weather. I guess the designer also wants to evoke the idea of water b/c of the packaging... will definitely repurchase!

I've been exploring the House of Kenzo after purchasing gems like Flower Oriental and Indian Holi. I took a chance and ordered this unsniffed based on reviews here on MUA. Well I'm not a fan of aquatics but this is soooo unique. I didn't like it upon initial spritz it starts a bit strong and sharpt but then is becomes this very interesting mix of citrus and lilies. The lasting power is very good and it's nice to keep getting this lovely, bright, crisp, fresh waft as you go about your day. I'm sooo looking forward to wearing this during the warmer months. I wouldn't buy another only because I simply don't do that with a very few exceptions.
