This scent is better used as a bathroom spray...smells very heavily like cleaning products or Chloraseptic throat spray. Not the least bit sensual to me, although all I have smelled is the water based spray and not an oil so maybe I'm missing out. This is my least favorite DSH thus far.

Smells a bit like potpourri heavy on the cinnamon on my skin, but it's very nice.

Smells like cinnamon toothpicks and lasts forever. Might be great for wearing on the playground at elementary school, but otherwise, leave it alone!

This smells exactly like a pumpkin pie in the oven on Thanksgiving morning. It's a great smell, just not one I would wear as a perfume. This is a festive fragrance that may be nice at holiday time, but I can't imagine wearing it any other time of year.

"sigh" I wish this smelled like spice bread or kitchen spices on me, instead, it smells like those little cinnimon hearts people give on Valentines day (Minus the sweet center). I get no "sweetness" here, as I would have expected from the honey notes, and little to no nutmeg. It isn't bad, just not very complex and, well, smells like red hots, and I don't want to smell like red hots! No worries, I ordered enough DSh samples to entertain me for awhile, so moving on....

Have you tasted the red Altoids with cinnamon oil? They are "curiously strong"....That's the smell this one reminds me of. Very prominent nutmeg and cinnamon notes at first on a vanilla base that isn't sweet. I find spicy smells sensual anyway and I would wear this with confidence. Sexy is as sexy does.....

Hmm, does sensual mean spicy to Dawn?? Both sensual spice and sensual sandalwood smell like baking spices to me, which isn't really a bad thing, just funny. Smells like carrot cake to me. Sweet, spicy and cakey. A little like a cinnamon candle, but a very true scent, not artificial or plasticky. I'll probably get a full size, but it does not seem sensual to me...more kitcheny. I would love a kitchen handsoap that smelled like this.

This smells just like a spicy ginger-nutmeg cake. It's warm, comforting, and ideal for curling up next to a fire with a mug of hot chocolate, or for taking a walk on a cold winter evening to look at Christmas lights. The sweetness balances out the spiciness very well, and this really warms to your skin with wear.

I have a sample vial and it is too
"spice rack at the supermarket" for
me. On me it smells like carrot
and spice cake ingredients.

Got a sample of this, only tested once so far... Red Hots is right!!! and not in a good way! I love spice but I mean *spice*--cardamon, nutmeg, even cumin--not fake cinammon candy. After about 1.5 hours it mellowed a bit, but for honey vanilla and spice there are many better alternatives--tea for two, bpal's old morocco, o, etc. Not awful or offensive, but made my wrist itch a little, and ultimately wasn't very interesting. I prefer cardamon and khyphi in the vial, will have to test to see if I prefer on skin.

Gorgeous spiciness, distinct notes of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon (yes red hots to the max - yum). I reeeeeallly want my home to smell like this, and it's great for the occasional sniff or at home snuggle but it just is not me, alas.

From Essence Studio Oils ~ A warming blend of nutmeg, honey, and vanilla.
First on, my nose is filled with lots of nutmeg and cinnamon – spice overload! After a while, if I sniff very hard, there's a hint of honey and vanilla peaking around the edges.

Actually, though the notes might be different, Sensual Spice is very, very similar to Scent By Spirit Egyptian Lover – which is a significant amount cheaper. In fact, on me, I honestly can’t tell them apart! Sensual Spice might be the teeniest tiniest miniest bit spicier....or is it the other way around...? Lasting power is about the same too…a few hours.

Whoa, baby. If you're a spice fan, you may love Sensual Spice or hate it, but you should definitely try it. I know the note description says, "honey, nutmeg, and vanilla," but after an initial blast of nutmeg and baking-spice-cabinet, it turns into strong, liquid Red Hots---maybe there's no cinnamon in it, but it sure as heck smells very cinnamony. A lot of spicy fragrances this strong tend to be tempered by too much sugar, woods...other notes. This is just sweet enough, and much more spice than candy. Very strong, and still easily noticeable on my wrist after 15 hours of hard wear. The vanilla kicks in more strongly as the hours pass, but it's a nice vanilla, and unlike most, it does not turn to Play-Doh on my skin.

This is my first full-sized purchase from DSH. I simply had to have more, and I hadn't even finished my vial. This is a cinnamony potpourri but better, a sweet spiced melange of nutmeg, cinnamon, and perhaps even a hint of clove. After about 4 hours, my wrist smells like pumpkin pie, with the vanilla-honey drydown a sweet surprise in contrast to the sharper opening. A definite winner for the holidays!!

Warm, cozy, spicy, makes me feel like a spice-cake. Cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Relaxing. I really like this one. I think I need a bottle. UPDATE: Bought a bottle, been wearing it a TON, DS says it smells like french toast, which it does! :-) Yummy.

Oh, how I wanted to love this, but unfortuantely ... it smelled of nothing but Old Spice, to my nose -- and I don't even like that on men. The search for the perfect spicy scent continues ...

Yum! This is the spicy sweet scent I've been looking for. I detect cinnamon mainly with a touch of sweetness, possibly vanilla. There may be some ginger and/or clove in here as well. It's really a delicious scent.

Edited to say that I had a skin reaction to this, unfortunately. A lovely scent but sample first!

The nutmeg is the first thing I smell upon application. It then calms down to warmed spice on my skin. The final drydown is lovely, like steamed milk with nutmeg. It's very warm and sexy but not heavy duty.

A delicious and well-balanced spice, something like Guerlain Winter Delice, but warmer and rounder, with less "bite."

This is wonderful! It has notes of honey, vanilla and nutmeg, with the nutmeg being VERY prominent on first application. This is warm, comforting, and uncomplicated, perfect for a winter night of cuddling.
