This is a wonderful cream. used in conjunction with the Vital Essence serum its a miracle in a jar. Having used both my skin has significantly improved. It is noticeably smoother, brighter, softer and radiant. I look well rested even though I hardly get any sleep. My scars have also faded significantly. I love the fact that i can use this as my eye cream as well. It makes my routine much simpler and quicker. Not to mention, I can feel it working too. I will admit though that is sticky upon application so I will limit its use to the winter months and at night time. It does have a florat scent which depending on my mood sometimes i like and sometimes i don't. Good thing is that it does not linger. Definite repurchase.

I am 49 and have found the answer in a jar after all! I have tried expensive brands and medical grade brands from my Dr. and nothing has worked like this WHOLE line! This cream does not clog pores, smells wonderful and has made my lines less noticable. Love the eye creams...love the bio lifting mask, love the serums which work wonderful under makeup. Glosses amazing. FINALLY a line that costs but produces.

I really wanted to love this cream. I've been on a search for a HG night cream that will soothe my red zones (cheeks and nose), calm and deeply moisturize my combo skin. I tend to be drier in the winter months as well. I received a large sample from the counter at Holt Renfrew and have been using it at least once a day for almost 2 weeks. I struggled with a score for this, because it is very good, but just not exactly what I'm looking for.
Pros:
- moisturizes ok
- didn't break me out or clog my pores
- smell didn't irritate my sensitive skin
Cons:
- did nothing to calm my skin down or alleviate redness and irritation
- didn't moisturize enough for my dry areas
Overall, I think this is lovely cream and would be perfect for some skins, sadly not for mine. I wouldn't repurchase personally but WOULD suggest that someone else give it a try.

I've lately become a Chantecaille convert, and got a 1.0oz Flower Harmonizing Cream in the Aromacologie skincare set. Pricewise, this cream is not cheap (normally $99 for a 1.7oz jar), but I do quite like it.
For reference, my skin is crazy these days. I typically have combination skin with a very oily t-zone and dry cheeks, and being pregnant (I am 8 months along!) - has exacerbated the oily and dry parts of my face, so much so that my forehead is constantly subject to breakouts. Because I can't use any aggressive skincare at the moment, I have been relegated to these extremes.
Enter Chantecaille Flower Harmonizing Cream... I was assured by the Chante SA that it is a safe, every day moisturizer that can be used by expecting mothers. (I think at some point, they even touted that on the website.) I do have to note that it contains Retinyl Palmitate, which is a synthetic Vitamin A. Although it appears quite low in the ingredient list, I still err on the side of caution and do not use this cream every single day - only about 2X a week, because I am paranoid. The research I have been able to find online regarding topical use of Retinyl Palmitate has not given any conclusive evidence of significant penetration into the skin, only orally. (Administered orally, more than 10,000 IU's of Vitamin A per day can lead to birth defects.) I did ask my OB, who did not seem concerned -- but again, I am paranoid.
Anyway, back to the Flower Harmonizing Cream... the texture is not too thick, not too watery. What I love best is the quick absorption into the skin. It doesn't sit on top of the skin and make it oily or heavy feeling. Instead, it feels like a nice, soothing drink for the skin. The botanical extracts give it a pleasant, fresh fragrance.
Overall, a definite repurchase for me.
From the Chantecaille website:
- A complete moisturizing cream to nourish and cocoon skin against stress
- Essential Oils, Seaweed, Vitamins and Flowers reduce inflammation and promote collagen production
- Saccharides soften exceptionally dry skin and provide long-term moisturization
- Edelweiss flower, a powerful antioxidant, provides natural UVA/UVB protection
- 87% botanicals including a healing base of Pure Rosewater; Vegan-friendly; Paraben-free

My skin is quite normal, a little sensitive and a little dehydrated at times. This moisturiser changed all that and my skin became oily, clogged and prone to breakouts. I discontinued use after three weeks. I still have marks from the huge spots on my chin. I will not only not repurchase, I will never put it near my skin again.

Like many reviewer here, i am surprised by this product. I have never tried anything from this brand before. A very nice SA gave me a little 8ml sample to try while i was looking around at Nordstrom. This is a very moisturizing cream. It makes my skin brighter and very soft and smooth. The smell is nice and light. The consistency of the cream is perfect, not to runny and not too thick. I think this is a very simple but great cream for simple skincare. I don't know about its anti-aging properties, the cream is largely advertised as a product that calms stressed skin.

HG day cream. FINALLY!!!
I used to be sooo breakout prone to sensitivity that there were certain parts of my face I wouldn't even touch with moisturizer-I know bad but it's true. This I have to coach myself not to overdo because I love everything about it, texture smell, etc. and I don't want to waste it.
Sinks in quickly enough but I do not wear powder foundation or blush so I do not know how long you would have to wait? I can tell you I have tried some lower end day creams and my t-zone is shinier than the rest of my face to the point that I need powder to control the oil production. I find if I use Chantecaille Skincare foundation is just an extra step. Yippee a dream come true. Also, a bonus...love the smell. It stays with you all day.

I have love-hate relationship with this cream. Pros: it moisturizes my normal-dry skin perfectly without being greasy, smells great, and the texture is perfect. My skin feels *so* soft and looks brighter and calmer. Cons: it irritates my eyes. Whenever I use this cream, my eyes turn watery, even though I avoid using it around eyes. My eyes are not particularly sensitive (I could use almost all products around eyes). **update 17 Dec** Sadly my skin does not like this cream. After using this for over a month (every evening, and sometimes daytime), my skin became definitely worse: although my skin feels soft, it does not look good: a few deep clogged pores, random breakouts, which I usually do not have. I did not change anything else in my skincare routine. Perhaps some of natural ingredients do not agree with my skin :( .

This stuff smells awesome and I really wanted to like it. It isn't a bad moisturizer at all. In fact, it's very rich and good for dry skin. My main complaint is how strong the flower/plant extracts are. Maybe I have an allergy or something, but my eyes get a bit runny when I apply this stuff and the scent overwhelms me after awhile. My skin is not particularly senstive and I've never had a problem with other scented products.

This product is fabulous!!! I have only been using it for a week, as I only received a gwp deluxe sample size. This is the first Chantecaille product I've used and it definately wants to make me explore the rest of their skincare line.
I have overly sensitive skin; very few products do not make make itch, flake, and peel. Even the products that are supposed to help desensitize your skin such as La Prairie Nurturing Cream and Guerlain's SOS line made me itchy and flaky. Anyways, I experimented with a few foundation powders at the store and the next day I had burning skin with peeling cheeks and flakes all around my nose. I decided to try this cream before I went to bed, since I had heard this was for sensitive cream. I was a bit wary because it had a slight scent but I woke up the next morning with baby smooth skin, no redness, no itchiness, no flakes and no peely's. I was amazed!!!! I used it again after a scrub I had received as a sample irritated my skin. Same results again! This cream has been a lifesaver and I will definately repurchase once I'm done with my sample size. It's also not too expensive at $98.00, as opposed to those other de sensitizing products I mentioned earlier. I have the worst sensitivity around my nose area and this cream seemed to trap in moisturze and sooth that area. I also tried this as a day cream and it was a bit too rich for my combination skin but I will keep using it as a night cream! Love this stuff!
EDIT: I experimented with a few creams and products while browsing at Neiman Marcus (I should have known better), and the next morning I woke with itchy, flaming, red skin. The skin around my nose and mouth had started to peel. I applied the Harmonizing Cream day and night for two days and it got rit of the demititis completely. My face is back to normal and glowing. I really love this cream!

Chantecaille skincare is HG for me. You can read my other reviews of the line that I have written. This cream is great for me when in the winter my skin goes through a mild dry spell or I have over exfoliated and need extra moisture or to balance my skin out. I only use it on those rare occassions, but when needed I find it is the best thing out there for me. I use it the one night and the next day my skin is in exact balance again. This is the only use for this product that I find. It does not break me out and does not over moisturize my skin, it just leaves it perfect for those times when my skin needs an extra boost over night with balancing. I will continue to buy for those occassions, but will last me a long long time based on my use of this cream.

Love this cream, unfortunately, I found out I'm allergic to shea butter and using the tiny amount on my face, gave me eczema on my hands, which I never had before. Wow -- it took me a year to figure out what the culprit was. It's a beautiful cream, although not enough for the dry climate I live in and I'll stick with my DHC Extra Nighttime Moisturizer.

Where to start? I really, really, really wanted to love this moisturizer. But, as I was afraid, it is just not enough moisture for my very dry skin. I layer several products, including a facial oil, and it still wasn't enough. On a good note, it didn't break out my skin or clog my pores. I'm just too stinking dry! I think a normal skin would LOVE it!

I really wanted to like this and my skin did for a few days until I realised my pores were clogged by this. Absolutely love the smell though - I think this must be the best smelling face cream I've ever sniffed. I think this was just too rich for my younger skin but on the plus side it didn't cause my highly reactive skin any irritation so I think this would be perfect for sensitive but more mature and dryer skins. The other minus was the packaging - a huge tub just doesn't seem sanitary especially if you're going to be dipping your fingers in there twice a day.

This stuff is great. It is helping my skin recover from its debacle with DeCleor products. I look normal again. My pores shrunk overnight and my skin looks very smooth and not red (miraculous for me since my skin is always red). It's expensive, but whatever. How much less pricey stuff have I tried and had to throw away? (answer:a ton) This is the only Chantecaille skin care product I am using right now. I bet it would only get better from here if I added more :) UPDATE: 9/23/2010 Sad, sad thing...this product contains bisabolol, which is derived from chamomile. My allergy to chamomile used to be mild, but has gotten far worse over the last couple years, so I won't be buying this product again. I dread the day when my allergy has progressed to the point that I put this on and have a reaction, and I am sure that day is coming. So, I need a new favorite.

This has been the only moisturizer that I ever finished up and actually repurchased. That's saying a lot because usually I find something wrong with skincare products and stop using them. My skin is slightly dry, but tends to break out. This cream has never caused my skin any problems and is absorbed quickly. Never sticky or greasy. My skin always feels soft and silky. Its very pricey, but worth it in my opinion. My skin has never looked better. It doesn't have SPF protection, but it contains the Edelweiss flower which is supposed to contain natural sun protection. Edelweiss is a delicate white flower which grows high in the mountains under direct sunlight without damage (so I was told).

I am currently using a very generous sample of this product, and so far I love it! Calms my skin, doesn't irritate it, and no clogged pores from using this. Moisturizing enough for my combo skin without feeling greasy or heavy. Feels very light actually. I am using this over the Vital Essence, and it works perfectly! Can be applied over eye area also.

This and Annick Goutal Creme Splendide are my HG moisturizers. It's unbelievably silky! A beautiful scent...and the fact that it's made with flowers just makes me swoon!
