Glamourpuss said it all. "Red Stain" is a terribly misleading name... "Dark Pinky Purple Stain" would be more accurate. I can't just slick this on like a balm. I need to use a lip brush and blot, and only THEN do I get a nice MLBB stain. It's still a little too blue-purple for my taste though. I was hoping for a more Clinique Black Honey/Trucco Stained deep sheer red, and this ain't it. And unless you find the scent of paraffin soothing, don't expect any "aromatherapy" either. Even for the $2 I paid, I wouldn't buy again.

does not smell good to me at ALL...where do they get off calling it "aromatherapy"? fortunately it does stain my lips a burgundy-brown color. works better with a lipbrush.

Oh, how I wish this stain was the same color on my lips that it is in the pot. It looks like the perfect plummy brick red in the pot, but on my lips... fuchsia! You can't beat the price, less than $4, and the packaging isn't even all that bad - a little clear pot with a very cooperative lid. One thing I don't understand, it's labeled "aromatherapy," but I barely detect any scent at all, and what I do smell is a makeup-y scent. I like for products to smell pretty and was expecting something a little, well, prettier. At least it's not obnoxiously over-perfumed. It's also pretty sticky and very drying. I'm so disappointed. I thought I'd found "the one."

Hello, bright fuschia lips. Not my favorite effect. Looks nice dark burgundy in the pot, but applies bright fuschia on me. I like this formula in other colors (Rose Shine and Ribbon) but there's nothing more irritating than the sneaky Evil Fuschia, especially when the color in the pot has no pink to it at all.

I finally found this gloss at a Walgreens. I love this gloss!!! It is the first gloss I have ever used that lasted more than an hour! It goes on smoothly and is such a plummy red shade. It really brings out my blue eyes. I have gotten so many compliments. The light vanilla scent is also a plus. Oh and it's not sticky like other glosses. Go buy this if you're look for the best red gloss ever!!!

I found this product in Walgreen's in New Orleans while I was looking for an ATM machine. I normally see colors and buy them and they are too dark or not what I expected but this one is awesome. It imparts glorius color. I adore this. It was the only one they had in the store but when I get back to Atlanta...I am going to look for more.

Love this. Perfect for a dramatic deep burgundy wine red stain. It looks almost blackish purple in the pot, but is sheer and very wearable on lips. I dab this over lip balm to lessen the intensity and lighten the color, or apply alone with a lip brush for a dark blood red pout. It looks gorgeous with my yellow-toned FFF skin, dark hair and dark eyes. Not too "goth" or scary at all. And thankfully it lasts for a long time, wears well, and is very very cheap. Wheee! Get one for yourself if you can handle dramatic dark lip stains, it's fabu.

This is such a great, inexpensive gloss. The texture is wonderfully creamy, and the color is a lovely burgundy. A great color for a night out!

Despite the product being labelled a lipgloss, this really is a stain, as the color indicates. It goes on a dark plummy red on me without any shine & really stains for a long while. I use it as a base & top with another real! gloss.

Red Stain looks like a black-purple in the pot but is actually a pretty burgundy-reddish-plum gloss. This is really nice when applied sheer, or blotted for a pretty stain.

I use this as a lipstain and it's a pretty color, but I found it dried out my lips a bit. It did have a pleasant scent though!
