i can understand why someone would not like this product as it is not convenient as seche vite (the holy grail for most)

so i will do a comparison

opi rapid dry:
packaging:4/5, the brush is wide and all in a typical clear bottle
quality/longevity: 4/5 lasts 5 days without any chipping what so ever
as advertised: 3/5, does not dry quickly, but once dried, its pretty good. even in its wet state it does not dent easily as seche vite

seche vite:
packaging 3.5/5 nothing special. the brush is standard/thin so application takes several strokes to complete a layer
quality/longevity; 3.5/5 its above average mainly because it has a nice finish and dries quickly but longevity-wise, it is quite picky as it does not adhere to plain nails, (as in this top coat sucks for french tip) it peels off as one solid piece..also the formula dries quickly to the TOUCH but not if u were to knick it on something while moving. your nails will be "sensitive" until another 6 hrs..
as advertised: 4.5/5 relatively long lasting if paired with the right nail polish (5 days no chipping), and dries quickly as it state

overall i prefer the opi if i have time to wait, seche vite if i just want the color for a few days..

Ok so this is a tricky product... Web I first used this topcoat it was really amazing, super shiny and glossy, dried fast, nice and thick, eveything you want in a good topcoat. But now after 8 months of use and about 3/4 of a bottle it is becoming bubbly and unbearable to work with! As someone mentioned if you don't have enough on the brush it will become streaky, if there's too much it bubbles everywhere and keeps ruining my perfectly applied nails that are so hard to achieve! I would not recommend this and will not be repurchasing! Seche vite is still the best top coat I have ever used

I got this top coat before reading the reviews so i got really worried. Anyway I was determined to prove that it is a good top coat because it worked really well the first month...but now after two months i have to warn you DO NOT GET this product. As i said it works really well at the beginning but then it starts getting bubbles ...you can see them all over the brush and so you can sort of avoid them but not for long im afraid.
I will not buy again it is a waste of money.

Firstly, I will say that this is NOT a bad product.
It's a good top coat. Really. But it does not dry rapidly. AT ALL.
I'm not even kidding.
It dries slower than my Seche Vite.
Which is disappointing since it is claiming to be RapiDry!!!
But if you want a good top coat and don't care about drying time, this works great. (:

I am amazed at the bad reviews here. This product has saved my ass. If you follow the instructions (wait 90 seconds after applying your last coat of colour before applying this and then give it five minutes after you're done) this works a charm!

On more than one occasion I have done my nails before going to bed, but waited at least an hour, and still woken up with sheet marks on my perfectly manicured nails. Such a bummer. With this, if I wait the recommended five minutes, I can do whatever I want wihtout being paranoid about denting my polish or otherwise messing it up. The biggest downside is the price... Almost 18 euro for a bottle is sort of nuts. But oh well. It works and I'm very pleased with it. It provides a nice, glossy finish, and it lasts, so I'm not complaining.

I have given this product the benefit of the doubt many times and by far it is the worst top coat I have ever used. I would much rather prefer to purchase Sally Hansen's and Revlon's top coats over this when if I did not have access to Seche Vite.

This product dries extremely fast. By that I mean it becomes gloopy and unbearable to use when I have only used 1/4 of the bottle. When applied with a "thick" coat, it bubbles like no other and with a thin coat, it's extremely streaky. This top coat is not very forgiving. You don't have much time to "spread" the top coat evenly on your nails before it clumps up. I believe it also appears to make your polish a bit darker as another reviewer has mentioned. It takes FOREVER to dry on your nails to the point where it makes me believe my nail polish would dry much quicker without using a top coat.

I love OPI products but this has by far been the worst top coat i've used. Not very quick drying on your nails. I'd recommend Seche Vite instead.

I like this top coat ! it's thick, dries fast, leaves a nice glossy finish and doesnt chip for a while.
If you put too little on the brush, it will get streaky, and it darkens the polish a little (i find it bothering if im applying pastel polishes).
I guess it's a good topcoat if you don't have seche vite accessible, but if you do then it would be better to just skip this.

I've been looking for a good, quick drying top coat. OPI makes a good base coat for nails so I figured I should try their top coat. Ugh, this product does the exact opposite. I found that this top coat makes my nails take LONGER to dry that with no top coat at all. I tested a nail with no top coat and another with the OPI Rapi Dri top coat. My nail with no top coat dried in ten minutes and I could touch my nail with no smudges. My nail with OPI top coat smudged and did not dry fast at all. Horrible, horrible product.

I don't paint my nails if I don't have this to use. It's amazing! I can paint my nails at night before I go to bed and don't end up with sheet marks. It's not very cheap but it's worth it.

This topcoat actually works very well for me! It is not as fast or as thick as Seche Vite, but it doesn't contain toluene (which also means it smells better). When I use RapiDry, my polish is dry to the touch in about 1-2 minutes.

My Zoya colors don't work well with Seche Vite, but they last for much longer with RapiDry. Normally, I chip in 2 days, but I can get 4 with Zoya + RapiDry. Another nice thing is that I never see shrinkage with RapiDry.

One complaint is that it can go on very streaky, even leaving visible ridges. This can be avoided by using more product - a nice bead on the end of the brush.

It's shiny and wears well for me. Mine came in a 2 pack with a free Red My Fortune Cookie, so it was a good deal.

As some other reviewers have stated, I am also surprised by the negative reviews of this product! I simply apply a light coat of this over polish and it instantly dries my top coat polish like magic! Perhaps the secret is to apply a very thin coat. This is what I do and the results are amazing. Love it!

Previous QDTCs I have used were Seche Vite, Essie Good to Go, Sally Hansen InstaDri and Orly in a Snap. I like all of them apart from the Orly one What irked me about the SV was how quickly it went super thick. Not so with this TC. Rapidry stays nice and liquid quite long, which makes it easy to apply. I was disappointed when i first applied it because it took 5 minutes until my polish was dry to the touch. With the other TCs it was a question of like... 60 seconds. BUT... I was soon happy again because even though it takes longer to dry to the touch, it dries THROUGH the layers of polish WAY quicker than the others. It also doesn't chip any faster for me than Good To Go or Seche Vite. Neither of the three though are as good as Sally Hansen InstaDry with regard to chipping.

I really like this top coat. I used to use seche vite most of the time but i found that although it dried my polish very quickly the shine did not last!! by the next day my polish looked dull and old. also it thickened up fairly quickly. I have also used Essie's good to go and though that's a great shine and very quick drying it would get so gunky by half way down the bottle that it was such a waste. I tried the opi because I had a tiny size from a set and I really liked it. I went and got the full size and in very satisfied with the shine and longevity this top coat gives. i did find that the brush picks up a little color and it stays on the brush but it never ruined or smeared the polish. the color on the brush didnt stain the rest of clear top coat either. a little pricy in my opinion. its about 2.50 more than seche vite and essie but because this doesnt seem to thicken up like the other ones its worth it. overall, highly recommended for mirror shine and about 2 minutes drying time.
also it helps if you wait about a minute between coats. everything will go on a lot better and dry faster.

This is the worst topcoat. I tried using it after a red polish and it smeared/picked up the polish i had on. The brush turned bright red and it removed polish from the nail so that they were no longer perfectly covered and left my nails streaky.

This is an okay fast drying dop coat.
It is VERY thick though. It dies kinda sorta fast, but it still feels heavy and thick when its " DRY". I would not buy again only because it is expensive. It also makes my nail polish peel faster. Seche Vite is a lot better and cheaper.

I'm shocked by all the negative reviews! I have a little mini bottle of this and used it for the first time this week with an essie polish...my nails have yet to chip after 5 days! I'm impressed.

Why is it that OPI has come up with a complementary product which does not do such a thing for their unchippable nail polish formula?!?!? I bought this thinking it will be super on top of my OPI nail colour, very wrong I was, it bubbles, leaves creases/ dents etc once completely dry , but worst, worst, thing as I already slightly mentioned, it softens the coat you have on, and it chips as if its the cheapest thing around. As far as rapid dryness goes, how do u even test that?!? Def wouldnt buy again..

I was pretty disappointed with this. I am no nail expert, but I've used way better top coats. This made bubbles, and it peels/chips in BIG pieces. I tried to do some nail art and it smeared/dragged it everywhere... I'm glad got to buy this at cost (hairdresser), but I wouldn't by again...

Hmm. I'm a little on the fence about this product; it definitely has its pros and cons. I have found that it really is fast-drying; I have done my nails about a half hour before bed and not woken with any sheet marks. Even when I put this on top of two coats of the terrible-formula Fairy Dust it was safe the following morning. I definitely haven't had any problem with the thickness of the formula, it seems fine to me, nor have I had any bubbling at all.

However there are a couple of smaller downsides, ones which aren't quite enough to push this into a bad review but the presence of which are preventing a good review also.

First up, I'm not totally convinced about the shine on this product. I can get great shine out of it after two coats, but I don't really want to have to add two coats of tc after two or more coats of colour plus a base.

Secondly, I've had some application problems which are leaving me with what can only be described as very minor streaks, if that makes sense in a clear tc. The streaks are almost not even there but for the price I paid I would not expect to see any at all. They aren't doing any damage to the colour, more just the texture/finish of the tc.

Anyway, for drying up your mani quickly I can't fault it, but I will be giving SV a try after my bottle of RapiDry has run its course.

I bought this top coat after looking everywhere for Mavala Mavadry topcoat. It was quite expensive, but I thought since it was OPI, it would be a good product and worth the money...however, I was wrong :(

- It smears nail polish. I applied this a few minutes after I put on my final coat of polish and the colour smeared quite a bit.
- It is NOT fast drying. I waited five minutes and it was still not touch-dry safe. Even after ten minutes, I was paranoid I would dent my polish.
- I went shopping with my friend the day after I gave myself a mani and my nail polish had chips in it already!

On the positive side, it does give nail polish a super glossy coat that my friend complimented on. Just too bad its not long lasting. I'm not purchasing this again...definitely sticking to Mavala Mavadry in the future.
