I had such high hopes for this product, especially after seeing the high rating. I was just *sure* it was going to be a HG. I even gave it several tries using different means of application but it just didn't work out for me. It looked like much more of a neutral beige in the pan at the drugstore than the gold it ended up being when I got home. And I would have even been fine with the gold if it weren't for the disappointing texture--sheer and lacking uniformity. Not the smooth highly pigmented Jane I was used to. An hour after application I looked in the mirror to see a fine layer of gold shimmer on my cheeks. It's not the worst eye shadow I've ever used but it just had too many little negatives for me to hang on to it.

While I literally have yet to have this on for a whole day, The color is not a metal looking as it is in the container. I've been searching for the perfect gold to warm up my lids as a wash or for a minimal makeup day. This was the perfect color when I applied it. I've got other golds but either they have too much sparkle or don't stand out enough. This one was perfect for me though, colortone and everything!!! It really brings out my brown eyes without making me look washed out!! Although, I will re-edit my review when I wear for a whole day to see how long it stays for.

This gave my eyes a nice golden glimmer..the best way I would describe it is "dreamy"..it was pretty enough, but the quality sucked and it didnt go on evenly or smoothly for my taste.

I like this shade very much. I usually pair it with Jane's Brownie Points. I love the way little golden specks light up my eyelids, yet don't have a heavy, washed-out look to them. It's unique!

My first Jane eyeshadow! I applied with my finger and it's pretty pigmented and smooth for a d/s eyeshadow. I think it is comparable to Milani's. I think any darker gold would've washed me out, but it's a lighter shade. Man, I don't know what else to say :P I like it!

I love this shadow. But, it did crumble on me after a while.
I am very pale skinned with hazel eyes with flecks of gold. This eyeshadow really brings out that gold in my eyes. I like to pair it with a nice shimmery purple.
I get more compliments on this than any other eye color that I've used.

One of the few Jane Eye Zings that I use on a regular basis - this one is nice to use for highlighting and to blend out darker e/s. I also like that this is a true gold that isn't too coppery or bronzey. The powder is very fine without any obvious glittery bits - the pigment is ok, it shows up very subtly on my skintone (NC30).

As noted, this is very sheer and doesn't offer much in the pigment department at all. It provides a slight hint of golden brown color...*slight*..very slight. I don't find myself using it much at all. The only good use I have found for it is pairing it with bronzey shades as a highlight.

When applied this shadow is very SHEER....don't let the dark color in the pot fool you...however, it's a subtle pretty golden sparkle that appears when applied dry, for higher impact apply wet. There better gold drustore shadows out there, but for 3 bucks, i can't complain!

Got this color in one of the new Jane quads (it came with brownie, sungloss, and a creamy matte shade I remember the name of). I was so unimpressed when I tried it dry, but when I tried it wet, WOW! Much better! The gold looks beautiful, and I ended up playing with it and a purplish color I got from Stila last week to make a great gold smokey/sunset eye. Very cool!

I love this shadow, its a goldish shadow that looks great against my skin and eye color. Im a very light brown skin, light brown eyes and naturally dark brown hair. I like to apply as a wash and it just makes my eyes look pretty.

Pretty color but the shimmer and texture or choppy and not smooth. At least on my pan which is over a year old(back when they were packaged propped on a cardboard card). It's possible they've reformulated. But there are better golds out there. Of course this one is darn cheap....but as far as I'm concerned the texture is just too hard to work with.

Maybe I'm applying this wrong, but even when used wet it's just too sheer. I use UD primer potion and it still barely shows up on me. I was looking for a more pigmented, less yellow gold, and this just isn't the right one. I did like the price though!! UPDATE: This shade FADES like no other, even with my UD primer. Not even worth the 3 dollars to me.

This e/s looks super hot when applied wet, really brings out the shimmery goldness in it. Applied dry, it's more a subtle golden wash and kinda blah. You need to try it wet to make it stand out!!

I love this shadow. When applied wet, it gives a gorgeous, subtle gold eye look. It makes my blue eyes pop and doesn't look out of place on my cool-toned PPP skin. A definite repurchase for me.

This is a very pretty golden color. In the pan it looks like it would be fairly intense, however when applied it is very sheer. I actually do not like it as much dry compared to when applied wet. When wet, it adds another dimension. It is much more intense and golden. It is pretty with deeper browns, cranberry, and burgundy colors. I would buy this again, especially because it is so cheap! It is fairly nice quality for the proce.

This is pretty. First off the quality and finish is just fabulous - quite impressive for the price. It has a nice shimmer, high-quality look and applies like silk. The shade is kind of an off-yellow almost with a slight tinge of green on me! Making a sort of yellowish olive. This is great for green eyed gals :)

I'd been looking for a gold eyeshadow, but in most places it was either too expensive, or not quite what I was looking for.
This came close enough, although it does look a bit yellow on the eyelids. I don't wear it much because of that, but it's still a nice shadow.
It was $3 at the drugstore. Hard to beat that, especially since it doesn't look chalky or powdery in any way. Goes on smoothly and evenly.
The packaging doesn't bother me much. It's just a screwtop lid, it's no big deal. Nothing to complain over, IMO. I like the screwtop lid. It makes me feel better about possibly carrying the stuff around for touchups (not that I need it. The stuff was on my eyes all day and all night and didn't fade!).
I might buy this one again.

I didn't like this at first but its slowing growing on me. I didn't think it showed up well on my lids and seemed kind of "blah" but I notice if I build up the color it looks very pretty. Its a very nice summer shade (light, shimmery gold)and not overly dramatic. I find my self using this more and more. Staying power is great as well. Not my favorite shade but still a pretty decent eyeshadow.
