I am definitely not a fragrance expert, and I honestly don't see how writing a review in words for a perfume could ever replace smelling it, but I feel compelled nonetheless to express this special love I have for Burberry Touch.

I have been wearing this for the last 10 years. I bought my first bottle when I was 14, and I remember that when I first smelled it on a strip of paper, the word woody came to me immediately. What really appealed to me was that it had a hint of vanilla to it too and that made it very different from all the flowery powdery perfumes I had known since my childhood that every grown-up woman was wearing. Obviously as a 14-year-old, I didn't wear perfume all that much, but as I grew older and entered adulthood, I grew to truly appreciate Burberry Touch. It made me feel sophisticated and confident when I was wearing it, and it gave me a sort of presence. Not the conspicuous, look-at-me kind; rather a non-offending, discrete but can't-be-ignored presence, pretty much like a tall but young, steady tree. It has accompanied me every day of my life, including on important occasions such as interviews, and I have had great success. Maybe, just maybe because Burberry Touch is somehow a projection of my personality, my aura, if you will. I do consider myself a down-to-earth person, corresponding with a woody fragrance, but romantic nonetheless, a trait I feel is mirrored by some of the floral notes in the perfume when you've just sprayed it on, and also by the warm scent that lingers on my clothes towards the end of the day, when I suppose the base notes shine through. And having read some reviews on it and found out what ingredients are in it, I realise that the pepper, which conveys a bit of a masculine scent to the perfume, meshes perfectly with my character. I find it funny how something I chose ignorantly at 14 years old so perfectly matches the person I am today. I suppose that everybody has a perfume specially tailored to them somewhere out there. I'm just really glad that I have found mine, and as much as I feel tempted by all the fabulous perfumes out there in the world, I think at the end of the day, nothing describes me as perfectly as Burberry Touch does and I will always come back to it as my comforting, signature scent. I feel that a review of perfumes isn't of much help, but if you have a personality similar to mine, give this one a sniff and maybe you might find that it describes you too.

I'm giving this a 3 because I don't love or hate it. Burberry's site says:

"A fruity, vibrant fragrance of California orange, blackcurrant, dewberry and subtle rose oil
Fresh top notes of seductive jasmine, Madonna lily and tuberose with a delicate hint of peach and raspberry
Cedar wood, oak moss and vanilla complement the fruity notes, adding a soothing warmth"

Well, I don't get orange, dewberry, rose, tuberose, peach or raspberry. (it is not very fruity).

I do get a bit of fresh floral at the beginning. But mostly it is an, almost aquatic/fresh but spicey fragrance. Perhaps the Madonna lily or blackcurrant could account for the spiceyness but it smells like neither really. There is also a spicey warmth to it and a touch of clean musk (but it is not very musky). The only thing about the Burberry description that seems right is that it does have a sort of "soothing warmth" to it. I don't get much of the wood (cedarwood etc.) either. It is a good lightly spicey winter fragrance. However, the bit of fresh aquatic mixed w/ the more dominant spice makes it feel fairly masculine to me. It is not completely unfeminine but is definitnely more of a masculine/ unisex frag. to me. I wouldn't wear it because it is too masculine for me. It is not offensive though.

This was described as a light perfume "just a touch" with bright fruity, berry notes like blackcurrant, dewberry, jasmine and raspberry notes but seriously thats not at all true and those berry notes just aren't there! Neither is the oakmoss IMO. Yes the first spray there is a quick burst of fresh citrus, watery lotus and peaches and a hint of warm vanilla biscuits and tuberose. But within 2 minutes all the interesting part is evaporated away and all I can smell is a powdery oriental musk with lots of sickly cloying amber and tuberose.

I would describe it as boring, predictable, suffocating, sickly, smothering, clingy. When other people wear it I have the same reaction. Lasting power is very good, around 4 - 5 hours. If you like this fragrance I'd recommend applying just a tiny touch for evening wear only to fit in with other people as not everyone can tolerate powdery ambers and orientals.

Top Notes: Orange, black currant, dewberry and pink peppercorn, orange and rose oil.
Mid Notes: Tuberose, jasmine, Madonna lily, peach, and raspberry.
Base Notes: Vanilla, cedarwood and oakmoss.

Amazing memories with this perfume, every time i smell it it takes me back to those days which makes me want to wear it more! For me, its definitely a fall/winter smell and that's exactly when i always wear it! Its my fall/winter everyday signature smell. Its a unique smell and no other perfume smells like this or comes close to smelling like this! Love it!

I bought this on a whim at nordstrom rack because I love burberry. However, I don't know if it was just a blem because it was at a discount store or what but I smelled like a man. I hope to try it again at a "legit" store haha but for now, it's bad.

I got this for Christmas and was eager to try it out. At first it was a bit strong, but as it wears down throughout the day it becomes a really beautiful scent. I really love the musky smell it gives off after being worn, and for some reason it somewhat reminds me of a subtle version of michael kors. Love Burberry always!

I had just finish a miniature bottle of this and i've gotta say i am neutral towards it. Nothing too fanciful or memorable about this scent, this is the one when the more you wear it, it just fade into the background. It's musky and flowery, nothing bad about that but just not my cup of fragrance. That being said, i won't repurchase this in a big bottle nor even another miniature anymore. The reason why i didn't give 3 lippies but 2 is because it is so forgettable, meaning you could do without kinda scent. I won't be so kind to any brand and of my money (if i were to fork out for a 100ml without trying a miniature bottle) and it turns out to be as sucky as this, hence the low lippies. Burberry, you could do better, you just need to hit the right note.

I bought this because Brit didn't smell all that great on me and this appeared to be a bit stronger but in the same vein. It does have a bit more 'powder' scent but that dies away and then I'm left w/a light musk (very autumn) smell that I like. When combined w/the Touch lotion...it really does mellow out the perfume. I use this combo whenever I choose to wear this fragrance.

I love the cedar in this fragrance but at the same time it makes it more difficult for me to wear. It is a little bit sharp for me to wear on a daily basis, although having read other reviews it may not be as noticeable on people with a different body chemistry. I find Touch has similarities to Brit, although I find Brit to be a much softer fragrance.

I asked for and got this for Christmas after trying out Burberry Brit and not liking it at all, to my disappointment . I like that it's slightly musky and slightly masculine, but has enough floral and powdery notes to be completely feminine. I reserve it for special occasions, or times when I just want to feel pretty and sophisticated, like right now. :D It's definitely not going to be one of my mainstay scents. My favorites are RL's Romance and Mariah Carey's M perfume, but Burberry Touch does its job as far as making me smell great goes. I love that the scent doesn't wear off easily, yet isn't overpowering. You can smell it on you hours after you've put it on. I don't know that I like it enough to repurchase myself...probably not. It's a great scent. Most girls should check it out.

I loved this fragrance when I bought it two years ago, but now, when I first apply this perfume I find that it is very strong, musky and somewhat masculine. However, it smells somewhat better when it starts to fade. So, at the moment it's a dust collector and maybe one day I'll love it as much as I did when I first bought it.

I do not like this perfume at all. In fact it smells old, heavy and cheap to me. I put it on and at first I liked it somewhat but after a few hours, I had to scrub it off with soap. The only good thing is that I got it on ebay so it didn't cost much. I thought I would like it with all of the good reviews and also because it is from Burberry. I like their other perfumes, especially Brit and The Beat. I'll stay with those.

I'm having hard time understanding why is everyone describing it as floral when it smells like powder. I tried it today and immediately it reminded me of another perfume-Cashmere Mist or VS Heavenly, take your pick. First spray is powdery and stale, fortunately it settles down really quickly into soft powder scent. Powdery doesn't equal clean or sexy to me for that matter. There is nothing special about this scent, there are many others out there that are very similar. Lasting power is good for such soft scent-I could smell it for at least 3 hours. Giving 2 lippies because its not disgusting or anything, just very mediocre

I love this!!! I bought off of ebay so I got it super cheap ( $20.00 for 4.0 oz edt) Very fresh and clean scent. A little strong at first but after..( one spray is plenty for quite a while) it is amazing Love it!!! Its simple and casual enough to wear during the day but also has a bit of sensuality for night wear. I definitly will be buying this again!

Wow my first reaction after reading all the ingredients is Really? are they all there? I hardly smell anything at all so I put on another spritz... hmm starting to impress me now.. It's drying very nice, Comfortable is the perfect word for this. Just like a cozy blanket of Cashmere Ohh that's nice, I'm really liking this. So soft, this must be what Heaven smells like. This blows me away, I can't really find the words to describe it. Too bad I have to get ready for work b/c this just put me in a daze of realaxation.. Perfect Burberry, you never disappoint me..

Burberry Touch is a very clean, polished, professional sort of fragrance. I imagine a cool, collected businesswoman being able to pull this off nicely in an office environment. On me, it starts off a bit perfumey and soapy, but quickly mellows down to a smell that makes me think of freshly washed skin and powder (not baby powder or soap in the drydown, but a cool, clean, powdery smell). It fades on me after about an hour, but the overall impression is light, clean, and inoffensive. It's not very 'me,' but it's not a bad scent. I'd actually find it rather alluring on someone else.

I love the smell of this perfume! I purchased it randomly when I was looking for a replacement of Lancome Tresor. It's gentle and refreshing. Very good for day to day use in an office environment. I will definitely purchase it again!

I just bought Burberry Touch as an impulse buy when I was actually looking to purchase another fragrance. As soon as I picked up the tester I got a sweet whiff of this gentle fragrance and thought ok I need it despite the seriously high price tag. I notice nobody else seems to get the vanilla note out of this, but that is actually the predominant note I get from it. It is a soft, clean lightly floral oriental nostalgic smell. I am NOT a floral person, but this is a light wearable floral that is sophisticated without being old ladyish. All I have to say is spray it on and let it sit a few minutes. It was touch and go at first I thought I was going to get the funky floral chemistry thing then it evened out. I can't stop smelling myself. Yum! It reminds me for some reason of playing in the forest in the summer as a kid.
UPDATE: I just figured out what perfume this reminds me of because I kept thinking this smells like something else I have and it's Alfred Sung Shi. Mmmm
