great stuff. its really good for dry brittle or colored hair. it feels so fantastic even without the conditioner. this does weight your hair down if you need volume this doesnt help. but totally feel silky smooth afterwards.

I had great hopes for this product to moisturize my somewhat coarse hair, but I didn't like the results I got. After using it for a while I noticed that my flyaways were actually worse. It's like it made my fine hair more fine. It wasn't overly hydrating, either. Oh yea, and I wasn't too keen on the smell of dirt it left in my hair. (: Back to Davines Love, which smells DIVINE.

I love the shampoo (reviewed in the shampoo section) but this is to let people know that this range is supposed to be discontinued in May 08 according to an Aveda rep. The conditioner really didn't do much for me especially as it's considered the highly moisturizing one of the Aveda bunch. I love the smell which given the mixed reviews seems to be a love/hate scent. I found their colour deposit conditioners (Clove etc) much better for my fine, fly away hair.

In one of my haunting missions to buy a GOOD hair Shampoo + Conditioner I bought this two, I finished the bottles as I think you only see the resuts not only in the short term but in the long term as well...The quality of my hair after those two were simply the same ...

Not only they are expensive but imho highly overrated !...Well the hair was left after a month or so like I used a cheap brand like many around that I use to use before .

I won't Aveda again !

This worked great at restoring the moisture to my long hair. I stopped using it for a while and my hair got a little dry again so I repurchased the Sap Moss Nourishing Concentrate and my hair is looking better again. It's pricey but to me it's worth it cause I don't want to cut off my long hair. I'm using the concentrate along with Aveda Custom Color Shampoo and Conditioner. I'll review those in a seperate review.

nice shampoo and conditioner.
nice smell.
GREAT texture and sheen to the product.
it's okay for my super-dry wintery hair, but not as good as i expected from aveda. i think it made my blonde color-treated hair look a bit dull. my advice--it's crazy--get dove's intense moist. shampoo and cond. and treat with phyto's intense moisture mask for color-treated hair. your hair will shine like silk.

This stuff did the exact opposite. It dried my hair and made it difficult to manage. The only thing I liked was the smell.

I've bought this a few times, it's my favourite to use throughout the winter but I buy it year round as well to use inbetween my other shampoo (Aveda Shampure). If you feel it isn't washing out of your hair enough, maybe it is too heavy and you don't need this much moisture, try using just the conditioner. The first time I got it I wasn't crazy about the smell but now I absolutely love it. It's really calming and faint, it doesn't end up being an overpowering smell that lingers in your hair after. It lathers up really easily and is a lifesaver when my hair is dry. Thank you Aveda :)

I had just moved and needed a haircut, and generally, my rule of thumb in a new place is to go to Aveda concept salons b/c they train their stylists really well. I was talked into buying the sap moss shampoo and conditioner- mostly b/c I liked the scent and was weaning myself off Redken All Soft- and really didn't like it. It doesn't lather at all, but was told that b/c it's so moisturizing to only use a small amount. This shampoo (or to be fair, the shampoo and conditioner) completely dried out my hair, and had only bought the small size (which are absurdly priced for how little amount of product you get) and could not wait until they were done. I would give this one lippie but for some reason, loved the smell. (also posted for the sap moss shampoo.)

This stuff is truly a godsend for my long fine, wavy, frizz-prone, schizophrenic hair. What can I say? Smooth, silky, shiny hair that still retains body, volume and curl? Who knew it was possible? Never has any shampoo/conditioner combo performed like this for me. Only reason I don't use it exclusively is the cost, and, probably it would quit working if I use it too often, I'm sure. So, I use it when I absolutely must have a good hair day.

I'm very impressed with this stuff! Normally, I would've thought this was going to be too much for my long, fine and straight hair. It is also color treated and still trying to recover from too much processing. The first time I used this my hair felt fantastic! It was so smooth (but NOT HEAVY) and shiny. My ends didn't feel dried and fried anymore. My hair swings and moves and looks great. I'm hoping after several more uses it doesn't build up. My initial impression though is that it is fantastic. I'm using both the shampoo and conditioner. They smell very strange, but it doesn't bother me. It's more of a strange earthy smell, versus a chemical smell. It's extremely pricey though. It lost 1 lippie because of the cost. But it's amazing!

The girls at the salon raved about this product saying it would cure every hair problem I had...not so much. This did nothing for my hair except made it smell gross and weighed it down. Will not buy again.

In order to get a lather you need to have sopping wet hair, put product in wet hands & get wet.. get the consistancy similar to water & then put in your hair.. if you don't wet the product first it will never lather!

smells great, adds a ton of moisture & shine! It's great for curly or coarse hair (not good for colored hair unless it's bleach)

I love a lot of things about this shapoo: the woody-resinous galbanum fragrance, the sparkly opalescent colour, the light texture, and how gentle it is and moisturizing.
I only wish it was easier to get a good amount of lather out of it. The recommen ded dime size amount does not quite do it, and it's always a bit tricky.
The packaging is not ideal either, as the tube always gathers water...
It is definitley one of my favourite shampoos ever though!

i'm too in love with the smell of sap moss to not buy it again. but after using it daily for a few weeks i don't smell it on me anymore... oh well. seems to leave build up if i don't use it right, but it's very gentle and moisturizing. one thing i don't like is that it doesn't lather easily. i think i'm gonna start alternating this every other day with paul mitch awuphui. i use the whole sap moss line- treatment, shampoo&cond, and styling spray.
