I used this product a few years ago. I bought it again after my first use to treat my acne. At first, I thought it worked quite well in terms of shrinking my pimples. But gradually, it just didn't work for me. So I switched to other spot treatment products such as bp, dalacin-t, and tea tree oil. I think these products are more effective than l'occitane when it comes to treating acne.

This product smelt great, and it shrinks small pimples quite effectively, but I do not find the added redness and stinging sensation it created worth it to keep using! My skin felt especially sensitive to the sun after I applied this (on blemishes using a cottonbud), that I will not be buying this again!

For all you people complaining that it burns and that it's too strong...IT'S NOT FOR YOUR WHOLE FACE! It's only to spot treat pimples not people who have systic crazy acne. People DON'T put it on your whole face that would be really bad for you and irritate the heck out of your skin. You spot treat pimples and it dries them up and works like magic!

It shrinks my pimples when applied on a cotton pad. I like the slight tingling feeling and the noticeable shrinkage of the blemishes. I'm on my second bottle already!

I love this product. I'm on my 2nd bottle already (but the 1st one lasted for more than 6 months though) and this product really helps me to treat those small annoying pimples. I like that it stings when you apply it (show's the product's working) and it dries pimple FAST. For me it is pretty easy to use the product, the packaging is okay. The price is quite okay and I love that it doesn't smell like chemical stuff.

Horrible.
Too strong, burns my eyes, and chokes me. It's like 90% alcohol!!!
But I do have to say, seems to be working on my chest and back where I'm breaking out... I emptied the bottle into a spray bottle, mixed it with witch hazel, and seems to work well.
But it broke me out like crazy on my face.

Waste of money. It doesn't helps with drying out acne. I think that I would get better effect by just using alcohol. It has a nice smell, though.

Too strong! I almost want to use this on my cuts/scrapes because it's so alcoholic. It made my skin red and inflamed when I apply it to my face.

and it burns, burns, burns...
and it doesn't only burn your face, it may burn down your house, it is so alcoholic, this molotoff cocktail in a beautiful bottle.
And yes, my skin feels kind of relieved 20 minutes after, but I think it temporarily paralyzes my face with its heat and sting, and then I feel some relief; it's like curing pain with more pain.
In the long run, I suspect this may be bad for acne or the pores as it may encourage more sebum production.

I might buy this again. However I have found a product that I think works better for sensative skin in another store. I'm just not too sure about this product. I love the brand, but it seems that sometimes this product works, and sometimes it doesn't.

A pretty good product to treat blemishes. It shrinks them decently, when caught early. It's very good at making redness disappear. However, it stings lightly when you dab it on your face, try not to get it around your eye area!
The little bottle has a little dispensing hole with which you would pour/dab it on something. Pretty cute packaging, I must say. I dab it on my face using a makeup sponge. Some reviewers complained about the shoddy packaging and how it would spill, but I haven't had a problem with this.
Like the website says, this is good for small blemishes. For serious ones, I recommend Mary Kay Acne Gel.

Strong! I have normal/combo skin and I don't usually suffer from pimples/acne, but a few weeks ago had a breakout. I applied lavender vinegar over the affected area and in two days the pimples dried up and were gone in a few days' time. Even my sister who has sensitive skin said it was great.

I had so-so results with this. I was trying everything with vinegar in it to get a grip on my acne. This is a spot treatment, but I didn't have spectacular results. A vinegar infusion worked better for me than this alcohol vinegar with lavendar. I may wind up using it to clean the fixtures in my bathroom, or as an air freshener.

I cant believe my sister and friends recommended this for battling spots. It's almost pure alcohol. Stung like hell when i put in on...and I used a q-tip! Would have been worth if it had worked...didnt seem to dry the spots out or help them subside. Will stick to a good BP cream for spot treatment.

This product is amazing! It dried up breakout that I have been battling for 6 months in about 12 hours. I am sold on L'Occitane! I really believe in the effects of the natural Lavender Oil as a healer/rebalancer.

Yes I know that it's mainly alcohol, and yes I know that it's expensive in the UK (£8.50), but my parents live in France so my Mum sends this to me regularly, as its 8.50 euros over there..not so bad. Anyway, if you just dip a cotton wool bud in, and dab it on the spot, by the morning it will either have disappeared, or be well on the way to doing so. Good product, especially as L'occitane have just updated the packaging, so it's now in a bottle that actually stays done up without leaking..hurrah!

I've tried a lot of products on my constant battle with my acne problem. Nothing works, either it simply doesn't work at all or it dries out my skin way too much. Until I came across this one. Simply dip a Q tip in there and apply on the troubled area locally. Works like wonder it shinks overnight and winthin a few days they're almost gone !!! I'm kinda bothered with the smell tho, I don't really care as long as it works and its dirt cheap !!! My HG now.

This is a great spot treatment--I'm on my second bottle with much better results than any drugstore treatment. The bottle must remain upright, though, or it can leak. I have noticed L'Occitane is repacking some products in more user-friendly plastic bottles, so I hope they come up with a new solution for this one too. I lost half a bottle when I made the mistake of taking it on vacation.

I just got this and didn't really know how to use this stuff. I was going to use a QTip but decided to just use only a little of it as a toner (my skin doesn't get dry easily and its pretty oily) even though it mainly consists of alcohol! It took away makeup residue my proactiv toner can't take off, my skin felt smoother, and the next morning, my skin was radiant! Now I'm planning on trying a whole lotta stuff from this line.

I know some people think this is a very simple product that we can all probably make at home but I like this. It works and lasts forever. It may seem an easy and simple product but I'd rather buy this than attempt to make my own version. Try it.
