Firstly, I have this in EDP and it is the longest wearing of all the AG fragrances. But what I really like is the smell of a beautiful gardenia and slightly jasmine garden after a rain. It smells just like that, a garden in the morning after showers. It stays on very well, unlike most AG fragances. It is for a feminime and mature woman of at least 38, one with a black dress and pearls only. Tasteful and lovely in a strong way, not shy at all but not de classe' such as the new FlowerBomb or even Angel. Years ahead and behind both of those. You won't regret this if you are a subtle, silent but strong woman.

Topnotes of dank garden; unpleasant. It's much better once they burn off, but even so, the gardenia doesn't seem very true to life. Not very lush or deep.

I am suprised this does not have a better review. But her fragrances are more subtle. This was described to me as an "intense flroral" and the Eau De Parfum lasts much longer than her other scents. I think it is really beautiful.

Another reviewer is right: there is a much truer gardenia note in Un Matin d'Orage. Truer in the sense that there, you will actually smell gardenia! I'm sad to say that I get none from this. In UMd'O you will find that wet, "white" gardenia scent, whereas in Gardenia Passion I find something dank and very unrefreshing. I am a gardenia lover, and this I am sad to say is a no-go for me. Good thing I only purchased a small 15ml bottle to try. Up for swap it goes.

Its been awhile since I tried this and I did love the fragrance. However, the day I used it I went up to the Pueblo to watch a "Corn Dance" and I was in the sun. Everywhere I had applied the perfume, I developed a very bad rash. I was allergic to something in it and the sun hitting it so do be careful. I have never had this experience before, and it was not fun.

I adored Annick Goutal Gardenia Passion when I first tried it and it smells wonderful when you first spray it on. However, very quickly the scent becomes powdery and completely loses its fragrance in 2 hours. I have timed it! Would not purchase this expensive scent again or recommend it to anyone unless the manufacturer changes its consistency or longevity beyond 90 minutes. I would recommend Flower Bomb if you like florals. The scent has staying power and is very clean. Less orginal than wearing a Gardenia scent but at least it will last!

I love the smell of gardenia flowers. This smells somewhat like them when I sniff the bottle but still not true gardenia for me however it is a nice enough scent. The reason I'm not to particularly fond of this scent though is when I spray it on myself I think my body chemistry or something effects it as I get a very noticeable pepper smell that overwhelms the beautiful florals to the point that I can't stand it (I once owned Songes as well and had the same effect when I sprayed it on myself so I guess Annick Goutal fragrances just don't agree with me).

I get absolutely NO GARDENIA from this one! What Gardenia Passion is is a tuberose softened by a nice powdery accord. That said, this is very nice and fairly wearable for tuberose. No queen bee Fracas, diva Mahora, or slut Blonde, but rather a more easygoing, softened version. Don't purchase this if you are looking for Gardenia: Go for Kai, Monyette Paris or (the ultimate) Van Cleef & Arpels Collection Extraordinaire Gardenia Petale. If you love Annick Goutal, there's a truer gardenia note in Un Matin d'Orage.

I got this perfume in a set with Grand Amour. I really like Aniick Goutal perfume bottles, for some reasons I think of 60-s and 70's era when I look at them.

The perfume itself is very pretty and classic. It is light yet long lasting. I also find that it opens up fairly quickly and doesn't change much just gradually fades

Gardenia Passion smells expensive and it smells of some gardenia but mostly tuberose . Still it is a fantastic fragrance, better to me ,in the EDP. Gorgeous but I actually prefer Songes which seems reminiscent of Passion .

This is by far my favorite floral perfume, which says a lot since I am usually drawn to much sweeter scents. My mother gave this to me, stating that she doesn’t enjoy it as much as she used to. I looked at the old fashioned bottle and didn’t really think much of it… it also looks very out of place with my assortment of more “modern” perfumes on my dresser. But I have to admit, the minute I sprayed some on… I was hooked! This smells so… classic! And so… pure! Its perfection in a bottle. Its so different from what I’m used to. It makes me feel so refined. I’m absolutely in love with this alluring Gardenia scent. Repurchase? Do you even have to ask? ;p

Wow, white florals like mad. Very well executed, sweet and succulent flowers. Still, not me at all, so I admit it reminds me of White Shoulders with more orange blossom and a slightly dusty note. If you like Gardenia, this is truly a must-try. If strong white florals overpower you, perhaps you should skip it.

OUTSTANDING well done gardenia A favortie of mine for at least 20 years. It has not changed, to my nose, in all these years. It is probably one of the best gardenia fragrances I have ever smelled or owned. It is not a heavy floral gardenia, just pleasant to the nose in the bottle, as well as mixed with my chemistry. It has nice silage and mixes well with other perfumes. But to me, it stands well on it's own. Perfect for evening in winter, spring and a great everyday perfume for the new collector.

I love gardenia if done right. Sometimes it is done heavy or with other notes that seem to compete or make it smell off.
This is done right.
It's light enough to not overwhelm but, it has definite staying power. And it's light enough to not feel a heaviness.
One of the very few gardenias that is so beautiful smelling. I put this on and it's summer.
for some reason, even though I live in the north midwest and we don't really do gardenias here, it reminds me of my garden.
This is a keeper.

This has to be one of my all time favorite scents of all time! I have been wearing this scent for 15 years. I am crazy for perfumes and scented lotions that have a more natural scent. It has the perfect blend of gardenia, orange blossom and tuberose that is not too cloying

Mercy, but I love this fragrance! I acquired several Goutal samples and find I like a lot of what they produce, but when I came to the Gardenia Passion I was simply blown away. I guess I'm a tuberose fan after all. I'm also amazed at its lasting power, I applied some edt yesterday morning and at night I tried some Songes over it, this morning as I sniff my wrist it is the Gardenia Passion that is still lusciously lingering.

This is definitely going to be one I use often! And I think I could wear it any time of year and still find that I'm constantly sniffing my wrist for another 'hit' of soft elegance.

A very feminine fragrance.

Gardenia Passion is smoky and a bit harsh during the first ten minutes and then the petals open into a beautifully romantic, elegant, lightly sweet, warm and creamy, true- to -scent gardenia. My very first and favorite gardenia scent which I have been loyal to for over ten years. The scent is perfect for year round wear and the bottle is decorative and feminine on any style dresser.

Very good "buttered" white floral. I smell as much tuberose as gardenia. The main reason I only gave it a 4 is that I'm not generally drawn to this type of scent.
