Lovely shade - just what I was looking for, a tawny peach shade that could be worn on an everyday basis. The formula is wonderful as well: it's matte and buttery (not quite as soft as, say, Urban Decay or Chanel, though), and layers nicely over eyeshadow primers like Too Faced's Shadow Insurance. It's a very flattering color for me (NC40 in the winter, a bit higher in the summer), and brings the blue out in my green eyes. Great for pairing with a warm brown shade in the crease. I would definitely repurchase.

Very nice for camouflaging the dreaded under-eye puff for NC42's imo. It's a peachy/light brown matte shadow well-pigmented and creates a really low key "no-make-up" look for those days when you just want a tiny bit of color and for everything to be evened out.
I've read that some women even use this type of shadow to cover pimples and other facial imperfections. I have not tried that yet, but because the shadow is so pigmented yet natural looking, this could probably pass for a powdered concealer.

This a very warm peachy apricot color that I think is only really appropriate for skin that is NC35 or higher if you are looking for a natural look. I am going through a Bobbi Brown phase and this is a soft buttery lid color for me. It gives me the desired look for daytime, which for me is just canceling out the darkness from my eyelids and making them look matte and polished. I also find that this is a good base color for more night time looks. I'm not sure if I would buy this shade again as it is REALLY warm and I don't know if I'm going to get much use of it in the dead of winter as it is early fall and I can already see it looking slightly orangey as my skin color gets lighter.

One of the staples for me. The color shows up as light peachy, nude shade, very hard to describe. It gives the perfect polished look for work, school. All you need is an eyeliner and mascara and good to go. Unlike some of BB's other matt eye shadows, this one is easy to blend.

I use it lightly over soft peach eye shadow and that's it for my natural eye look. It's a beautiful color, kind of hard to describe. I'll definitely buy this again.

When I say love, this is it! Bobbi Brown are one of the few brands that make good quality matte formulas (shimmer too...I love Golden Leaf) If anyone know of any other brands let me know! I bought mine for $18 no tax. The formula is smooth and velvet like, easy to apply and blend. I must admit that some of the shades has a chalky appearance on my skintone (I am between a (NC45 and NC50). I have a yellow undertone so Bobbi Brown makeup suits me perfectly (powder and concealers...I don't like liquid/cream foundations).
I buy these in two and have already hit pan on one of them and have another one in my storage! This is my go to everyday look (Toast eyeshadow, crease color, and mascara) and it is so pretty. This shadow has a yellow/peachy cast so if you want a neutral eye go for this. Paler complexions be warned might look a little sallow!
All in all, I hope that they don't discontinue making this. On my list of top 5 must have products for me. Oh p.s I love how they make the palettes so easy to switch around....genius!

This color is hard to describe. It is between a peach and light brown. Very matte, but glides on very silky.I have very dark eyes, olive complexion. Perfect for my Giorgio Armani 6.5 / MAC NW 25 skintone.

Recommended by my BB consultant, I like this shadow very much. With Bone shadow over the entire eye, I apply this on the lower lid and crease. I never would have thought this was a great choice, but it really brightens the entire eye area. It's very flattering to my green/golden hazel eyes. This is one you probably want to check out before buying.

This is a light to medium caramel brown shade that looks appealing in the pan, but I have some trouble making it show up on my lids. If you just want to enhance your natural beauty than this color is it. If you want something slightly more dramatic don't buy this shade. I've resorted to wearing this shade in the crease with Copper Penny on the lid. This look gives me a subtle lift in the eye area for daytime that has the appearance of looking pretty without actually looking like I have makeup on.

I still don't like these kinda containers where the entire lid comes off. But anyways, not the point. This color doesn't look that great on me, however used only in the crease it actually looks pretty good! I've also tried using this as a blush but didn't work well because it would settle into my pores.

Toast is described on the Bobbi Brown website as "toasted peach." I'm not sure I'd call it peach, but it is indeed a warm, warm fairly light brown -- as one reviewer described, a lighter version of Camel. I didn't think it would look good on me, as I am more partial to neutral browns and browned greys. But it actually worked quite nicely. I love Bobbi's shadows. Not a dud in the bunch.

This a a great color! It brightens up my whole eye. Works great a a base for other colors or by itself with espresso as a liner and brow filler and lots of black mascara. I will always have this one in my collection. BB Almond. MAC nc50/nw45

On 5/7/07, I revised my initial review and changed the question to no, would I buy it again. The first time I owned this shade, I couldn't make it work for me and gave it away in a swap. This most recent time, however, I initially seemed to have really made it work for me and it became a temporary favorite. Perhaps the key is that since using it the last time, I have discovered the MAC eye primer and using that to even out my lid color before applying this Toast was what made the shade work for me. In my opinion, Toast is a peachy light version of Bobbi Brown's Camel eye shadow, which didn't work for me. For so long, I thought Toast was only a good shade for blue-eyed blondes and Asian complexions, but I have proven my own theory wrong. It is not the most flattering shade for me, and I can make it work, but not all the time. If I'm tired and my coloring is a little off, this shade doesn't work for me.

This is one of my most favorite eyeshadows from BB. It really brightens up my eye. I wear it with bone allover, mocha in crease and moss mixed with cocoa on outer v. I come back to this combination time and time again. MA at other counters compliment me all the time on my eyes, when they're done this way, numeorous compliments from so many people, friends and strangers alike. I guess one of my HG eyeshadow combinations. Sometimes, abviously always trying new brown eyeshadow combinations, but go back to this one. I guess it's a great look, for blue-grn eyes, light-med.skintone, light golden blonde hair. I wear an eyeshadow base under my eyeshadows so they last longer, and stay true. I already bought this eyeshadow more than once! Ladies if you're interested in trying BB, their national makeup artists really have their act together with chosing the right colors for various skintone and hair colors. Usually dept.stores that carry BB have a calender date when they have an event with a National Makeup artist. Check it out! I would have never picked these colors myself!!!! Warm sand foundation coloring.

Toast really didn't work for me as an eye shadow, but I finally figured out how to use it : as a blush! It's a very subtle peach that enhances my freckles very nicely. At last it's coming out of the drawer!

I tend to like warmer neutrals, which provide a little contrast to my cool/fair skin and blue eyes. Thought this would be a fun choice (and usually Bobbi's colors are so subtle it's hard to go wrong). But this was orange on my lids rather than the peachy beige I was hoping for.

Great color for pale asian skin. First I was afraid that it will be too orange. Applied lightly it brighten up my face. It is a bit on the expensive side but last forever.

I agree that it does look like the crust of bread. I'm a PPP and didn't think I could pull this off, but when the MA put it on, it looked really natural on me for some reason. So glad I got it; love the silky feel of this as well. I pair it with Nars Gina blush and BB Creamy Color Gloss in toast which gives me a coordinated, natural look which I just love for daytime!

This is a very pretty warm toned eyeshadow that I was told would look good on my brown eyes - however, I wear the Warm Ivory BB oil free foundation, and this shadow looks ORANGE on me - not flattering - better for darker skin tones....and probably blue eyes...

Toast was a nice and sophisticated shade in the pot. It was too yellow on MMM me though. I wound up swapping it. I could see the potenital for pairing it with other BB browns and Moss.
