I don't understand why this product gets such a low score and why so little women would by it again...
I absolutely adore this product!
Before I started using this mask I had accepted it that I had a skin that was oliy and prone to acne. I pratically always had two or three dimples on my face. Ugh.
I had used other masks of Sisley before (masque éclat is also excellent!) and I have the habit of using them at night and leaving them on while I sleep. I also did this when I used this mask for the first time (one year ago). The day after: big difference! This mask has actually changed the nature of my skin. Since I started using this it regularely (and with that I mean one night every two weeks or so) I have no dimples anymore, since then I can describe my skin as normal instead of oily or acne-prone. Now I get compliments that I'm so lucky for having such an easy and radiant skin... It's crazy!

Yes its spendy, but this gotta be the most gentle purifying mask there is. I use it weekly after exfoliating and i dont get that tight dryness on my face after washing it off. Its soothing, giving my face a clear bright complexion. I used to have an average of 6 pimples at any given moment. Since using Sisley Tropical resins masque I go zit free for days. My skin is more calm, more balanced. It fares much better than Chanel's Purete masque, which stings upon application and washes off to reveal dry rough skin. Its also better than Decleor's purifying mask which also stung my nose and had little effect on my blemishes. Now that I've found my HG what am I gonna do with my other trial n errors.

I can see two different uses for this product, one is 1-star and the other a 5-star (hence the 3-star average).
So the 1-star first: If I actualy use it as a facial mask I get lots and lots and LOTS of new pimples. I mean lots. I guess that what it does is ripen and bring out all the "would be" pimples and then -perhaps?- help heal them. But this is not what I bought it for. I got it as a treatment for my existing imperfections. I worked in an office reception and if I was told that I would have to go through treating a face full of zits I would never pay for it (and pay dearly, I must add) because I simply cannot afford to look like that.
The 5-star rating: It makes existing pimples mature at a lightning-fast speed, thus cutting the treatment time very short. I now use it for such spot treatment. If I see a pimple being formed, I apply some of the mask on the spot. By evening it has matured so the next day I start drowning it in tea-tree oil and in less than a week I can forget about it.
I bought it at the begining of 2008 and still use it for the above spot treatment. It has not gone bad (the same smell and texture) and I am amazed and a little scared by that fact, but I intend to use as much as I can out of it before I have to throw it away. I gave packaging a 4 for not drying and for being able to control the amount that gets out (remember, I use very little at a time).
I would not buy again. It does not do what it says it does, it makes my face worse and it is crazy expensive for the use I am forced to put it to.

I got a sample of this product. I never used mask but I was like eager to try new things so I put this in the morning waited 10mins and then rinse off with lukewarm water. At first I thought it was nice because it made my skin smooth but then after a few mins. I saw red spots on my face that were not there before I applied this mask. It says it's for combination/oily skin (which I have) but then my skin is very sensitive so please think twice first before using this if you have sensitive skin.

I am a believer that nothing is a miracle product. it takes a long time for a product to take effect - you cant use it twice a week for 4 weeks and expect magic!
i have been using this product faithfully for twice a week for the last 3 months - and i LOVE it. i only apply this to my t-zone, and slather a moisturizing mask on the rest of my face whilst i wait. it is very thick and creamy and requires a warm wash cloth to wash it off.
the mask itself has definitely left my pores much more "clean". i used to have much more gunk in my pores (which causes enlarged pores) and now, overall, there is less gunk/blackheads. it is a very good maintenance product! ive also had a lot less spots (which i get occasionally, esp at that time of the month) and i think it is the work of this baby!
will definitely repurchase
update: i had to come back and give it another lippie. i stopped using it for a while and everything was fine. had a bit of a stress period, late nights etc due to work and my skin broke out. i used this 3 times a week and i saw a difference immediately. i love this mask!

I simply did not see a difference with this mask..Also, it seemed to soak into my skin so quickly, there was nothing 'mask' like about it...it was more like a gel cream...did not see a difference to my skin either.

This is my first diasppointment with Sisley products. It comes in a 60ml tube (typicall packaging for Sisley masks).
The mask in itself is not bad – it didn’t break me out or caused any negative reaction, but for something that costs over $100, I’d expect to see some improvment.
The mask didn’t clear anything - I apply the mask, keep it on for 10 minutes (sometimes even longer), rinse it off and my skin looks just the same as it was before the mask.
The mask is really thick, it doesn’t spread out well and you need a lot of it to cover up your face. According to Sisley, the mask should minimize the appearance of blemishes and blackheads and visibly tighten pores but I see none of it when I remove the mask.
The SA told me that another way of using this mask is to use it as a local treatment – just apply a very small amount on the acne in the evening and the next morning the acne would be dried up . I tried doing this too, but I didn’t see any improvment. Decleor’s Ylang Ylang balm showed more result when using it this way.
I won’t repurchase it because it is too expensive for what it does – nothing. I gave it two lippies for not causing any negative reaction.

Nice mask, it deep cleans without stripping and leaves the skin calm clear. Nice, gentle fragrance. I haven't tried it for spots yet as I have a Darphin blemish gel for those occasions. Price is very steep for what is basically a cleansing mask so it only gets four lippies. Would re-purchase.

In theory it absorbs excess of oilyness. Also, applied all the night it is supposed to shrink pimples.
I’ve been using it once a week for about 4 months and I don’t see any changes in my skin. If I apply it overnight on pimples, I don’t see any change in the morning when I wake up. They are still there, same size, and red like always.
This is a very expensive mask, but in my skin this just works like any other cheap mask.
I won’t buy it again.

This is a good product to use for those of us who experience sporadic breakouts. I use this when my skin seems to be having a meltddown and it seems to instantly calm and reduce redness of blemishes. Expensive but it does last some time because you shouldnt be using it too often, as i think it would dry your skin. a staple in my bathroom cabinet.

Quite a good mask actually. I had a tester, but will probably buy it. It cleans my pores good, and has healing properties too. I really like Sisley tropical resins series.

i really like this mask! it's the only purifying mask i've tried that leaves my skin feeling smooth (the others leave my skin feeling rough once i wash the mask off D:) but i wouldn't buy this cos i just can't justify the price.

this product does work in controlling the breakout when used together with the weekly routine of proper buffing. but i have found others much better product that can give me the same result that's no less effective.

This was a great mask that seemed to help with the acne I've been having ever since I stopped using bp, which was too drying.
After washing this mask off, my face doesn't feel dry at all. In addition, for spot treatment, I dab a bit onto the acne at night before going to bed. The downside however would be the white color of the mask, which looks horrible to go to bed in and the price. A very expensive mask. Otherwise, everything else is great! I will definitely buy again.

This mask is wonderful for acne. I use this once a week and voila no acne. I have been using this one for two years now and my skin always looks clean and clear the next day after sleeping. It is on the expensive side but if you have tried other products and not seeing results try this one. I don't know how well it works if you have a terrible case of acne but I think it will do great for those who have mild to moderate acne.
Edit: I have come to realize that this is really not working for me. I need a more permanent fix. Not just a temporary one. You put it on one day and the pimple is gone the next and when you go back to sleep the next night, it is back again. geesh

i think this mask is hands-down awesome. my boyfriend constantly complains about the amount of money i spend on beauty products but after using this procuct he said, "damn honey, that stuff works". and since he sees me more than anyone else, i'll take his word for it.

i got one sample of this and used it twice on my t-zone and trouble spots and this stuff sucks out impurities like no other masks that i have used has. i got a tiny zit on my cheek and after one use it was gone! i was so amazed but i dont like the fact that i have to use a seperate eye mask when using this and risk having the not so oily other parts of my face dehydrated while waiting for the 10 mins. i prefer linden blossom mask to this for this reason. would repurchase to use only as a trouble spot leave-on.
