i REALLY love this pencil! the color is amazingggggg! all other purple eyeliners i've tried are always a strange shade of purple and don't really look nice on eyes. This is an amazing shade, yes the tip does break when you first apply but really we can't believe that with the amount of pressure were going to be using will not break the very soft smooth liner. if you want a very thin line then i suggest using it very lightly and maybe at an angle. i like it a little thicker especially with this beautiful color!

This is a so-called microliner. The truth is that the pensil is too soft so that the "micro" donesn't function at all.
I don't like it and will never use it.

I'm very happy with this product. All pencils tend to smudge on me so I didn't buy this with any unrealistic expectations. What I'm happy with is the sharpener that it came with (very similar to the Shu Uemura sharpener I have but that's no surprise) and of course the very fine point on the pencil. It's a great color and a very conveniently packaged pencil.

Ok - I'm officially disappointed. This did not at all do what I wanted. First of all - I don't get the micro part. Ok, the pencil is thinner than regular pencils, sure. But the COLOR PART is NOT! :) It's indeed much the same size as my regular liners. A little thinner, but not by much.
Secondly, I don't know if it's my apartment being very warm or something, but when I started drawing a line with this, instead of a smooth thin line, I got a big smudgy soft line! Which is fine, but NOT what I expected from this. Half the tip wore down from one application, and I had to sharpen it. Weird, very weird.
The color however is gorgeous - it's a blueish dark plum that looks a lot like Bobbi Brown Violet Gel liner but without the shimmer. Very pretty!

Well, continuing on my Microliner binge, this was another color I went back to the store for. As the name implies, the color is plum -- a pretty and dark purple color. I should mention that I'm a liquid liner girl and very rarely ever wear pencil liners. These originally caught my eye because it is extra fine -- about half the size (in width) of regular pencil liners. Also comes in black, Brownie Point (dark brown), Straight Mocha (medium brown), Silver Lining (dark gray). The application was very easy and smooth, and I was able to easily apply a nice fine line. I need to test run it for wear. :-) It comes with a little micro sharpener. It actually took me a little while to figure this out, making me feel stupid, but if you need to empty the sharpener, the round thing (where the pencil goes in) comes off the front so the plastic top can come off.
