This is the first primer I tried because I had a sample, and at first the name turned me off. It sounded like it would be thick and scary. But I tried it anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's actually silky and makes your skin feel nice. I don't know if primer is supposed to do something amazing, but this helped my skin feel more ready for makeup and didn't break me out. It also contains a lot of nice herbal ingredients and I think that may have helped. This doesn't get great reviews, but I'm hesitant to buy another primer without being able to try it. Very temped to get this, possibly in ethereal.

My primer was in a clear white tube, 1oz, and was given to me as a gift. I don't care for this primer. Smashbox photo finish is way better. This isn't the worst, but it isn't the best. I do think it helped my makeup stay on, but it's nothing to go WoW about.

I am a huge primer buff... so I have to rate this one because I like it for various reasons. First, I love how simple this primer is. It works for everyone, its simple and works well. The only thing I am not a fan of, is that it doesnt make your skin as silky soft as some of the others that i love. But this primer def does its job- and evens out your skin to make a perfect 'surface' for you to apply your makeup and have it look well.

Package was nice w/ pump feature. I did not like the primer itself. It has a gel consistency & I feel like my skin feels tacky & oily. My makeup did not any longer using it. Did receive alot of product for price but didnt like product, so that didnt really matter.

I bought this one to replace Benefit Porefessional (another review). This one is a true primer/pore filler which is what I was looking for. My foundation still melts off by the end of the work day, so my next step is to probably change foundations. :( This is a good product and is reasonably priced.

I put this on and in nearly an instant my face was burning and bright red. Seriously painful experience. Never again.

I bought Champagne Spackle via QVC in a 5-piece makeup kit in a cute cosmetic bag. Been using it a month. Although I like the idea of the Spackle, I find the claims made by Laura to be untrue. It doesn't lock in your moisturizer and make your makeup last any longer. I made certain to use all Geller products under and over the Spackle (including her brightening powder/creme foundation, Real Deal concealer, eye shadow with eye Spackle primer, but I still get cakiness. My belief was that Laura made products that would be compatible with each other. That is often why someone would buy products within the same line. But these are not compatible. I posted on QVC about this and they emailed me to say they were not posting it "for reasons that will not be given." Seems they just want rave reviews so they can push product.

Love this primer, been hemming and haaing wether to purchase for quite a while, well I gave in last weekend ... I have used for 5 days and this does exactly what it says it will, my makeup now stays on all day and looks just as good as when I put it on in the morning till I take it off at night. I know everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another, but this was the best £24 I have spent ... my husband has complimented on how much nicer my makeup is looking I will definitely be repurchasing,

I'm really starting to wonder why I even try with primer. This one was especially awful. I bought the 3 in 1 product at Ulta that comes with the eye, lip, and face primer. As soon as I put this on and finished the rest of my makeup, my skin felt like it was being suffocated...and I didn't even notice a difference in the way my makeup looked. Not any smoother or flawless. I went and ran a few errands and by the time I got home my face felt itchy and uncomfortable so I took my makeup off to uncover 4 new blemishes. I hardly ever break out anymore so to me one time is enough to know when it's due to a specific product. Now, granted most primers do this to me, but this one seemed especially terrible. I will not be repurchasing...I will be returning.

A completely underwhelming experience. The packaging is pretty but my pump fell apart the first time I used it. This is not spackle. It will not give you a smooth, flawless base for your makeup unless you already have perfect skin. It is a light, watery gel with just a touch of sparkle. I find that it takes awhile to dry over my moisturizer and the surface it leaves is somewhat tacky. Did nothing to make my makeup last longer, either.
Blah product for $25, but at least it doesn't break me out. If you want a truly flawless finish for your makeup, and something that will hide pores, fine lines, and unevenness, try DHC's Velvet Skin Coat. That stuff is truly worth the money.

I really wanted to like this primer. I tried it out over a couple of weeks. Every day it left me oily and by the end of the day most of my makeup and virtually slid off. Luckily I got this as a deluxe sample in birchbox and didn't spend money on the full size! It is suppose to work with all skin types, however, I feel that it is not very friendly for oily skin. It made me even oilier and after a few days I started having a minor break out. if you have dry or combination skin this might work for you.

I've been experimenting with primers this year and got some
Spackle. It does help makeup last longer and go on a bit smoother,
so it works for me. Would repurchase. I also like the Illamasqua
Satin Primer.

Phooey. Another product that I really wanted to work for me.
I REALLY liked the texture and consistency. I don't like the slippery, greasy, heavy feeling of silicone based primers and I don't like the way they sit on top of the skin. In my opinion, not only does it not make foundation last longer, I feel that it actually does the opposite. How could it not, since it prevents the product from being absorbed into the skin??
This product created a nice smooth finish without feeling greasy, and I felt that it absorbed really nicely. That in itself was enough to make me fall in love with it. But I also thought it did a nice job of filling in pores and making them less noticeable. I didn't feel that it prevented shine, but neither did I feel that it created more than I normally experience.
Sold, right???
Unfortunately, I broke out horribly. I try not to point the finger to any one product too quickly, since I do have oily, acne prone skin, even at 42. But normally when I break out, it's one or two small easily banished blemishes in my t-zone. But this breakout was facewide and they are large, deep blemishes that I expect will take a week or so to clear up. Since this is the only new product for the entire face that I'm currently using, I can only deduce that it is indeed the culprit.
I can't tell you how much that disappoints me because in addition to all the pros, the price is right and you get a lot of product for your money.
Insert sad face here.

If you are buying this to cover large pores for a smooth foundation application don't waste your money. It also doesn't do much for fine lines either. Clinque instant perfector is the best I have found so far. I got caught up in all the hipe during Laura's anniversary show on QVC and bought the 4 oz size and had to send it back. Live and learn! Although Spackle was a disappointment her cosmetics are FABULOUS!!!! They get a A++++++

I just tried this today in 100 degree weather. I have very oily skin and boy did this play to it on my nose, it was shining like no other. I have read the reviews how it works for all skin types, but I would not recommend it for oily skin. Reviews say how it is cooling, but I did not feel it. I will keep searching for the primer that is for very oily skin, if anyone knows please post, I have a cabinet full of primers that just don't work.

I like the spackle , feels cooling and smooth on your skin , but i found it made my face very shiny after a few hours so stopped using it , probably more suited to a dry skin .

I am a primer-hater...but this I love it!!! It doesn't feel disgusting like most primers, and it actually makes your skin noticeably softer. That's not even the best part. This primer really delivers and takes your face from blah to amazing looking. I think it's because of the subtle glow that it gives you, making your foundation look much more expensive. It also has great hold for me. It passed the drunken night test where you fall asleep with your makeup on and wake up and find it is still there. This is really something to me because I am extremely oily but this still keeps my makeup on. I believe it does have some mattifying effect as well. My favorite thing about it is how long it can keep my makeup on, just about all day. For once in my life I finally find myself doing my makeup regularly because I know taking the time will be worth it since my Laura Gellar spackle will keep it on! I've started recommending this to friends and family. Worth the money! You can watch reviews for it on youtube and many of the makeup gurus say it's their favorite primer. That's why I originally went to buy it (bought the trio and it's amazing.) Also compared to the MAC primer this feels much better and is MUCH less oily/greasy. The MAC also tends to break me out whereas this primer improves my skin and just looks better overall.

There is nothing fabulous about this product...it's not bad, but it's not great. For someone with combination skin, it really played to the oily parts in a negative way. I will not be buying this again.

Goodness, I hate leave a sub-par review for Laura Geller because I love most of her products and own quite a bit.
However, this Spackle causes my makeup to cake after about 6 hours. I use moisturizer, then Spackle, then Laura's Real Deal foundation. It looks lovely initially but I eventually get flaky skin on my cheeks and chin. When I use Smashbox Photo Finish.....I don't have the problem and Laura's foundation looks wonderful. I'll have to pass on this product.
