I got a 5g sample of this pigment (along with Grape) recently. I was looking for a semi-frosty browbone highlight that was a little different. The colour on this is really awesome. It's almost like a duochrome, going from a sheer frosty white to a sheer frosty pink and, in certain lights, a tiny bit of green hue. The coverage with this is buildable. You can blend it out for a sheer wash of colour, or layer over a base to get a nice, shimmering frosty white-pink. I had no problems with the texture. It was smooth and not too dry. I will definitely buy the full size when I run out of my sample (which should last a while). Only took the lippie off for the price. I usually buy online and $25+tax+shipping for one colour is a little steep, but totally worth it.

This is frosted white with a warm, peachy-pink sheen. The third picture above depicts the definite peachy tone quite well. The texture is crumbly; I'd prefer it more fine. I had a lot of fallout and found it hard to blend, even trying 3 different brushes. Only okay as an under-brow highlighter, but not great on the corner of the eye due to the above. Tried it as a cheek highlighter but I'm disappointed once again with it not blending well. And more fallout. One purchase I wish I hadn't made. I want the 'wow' factor, and I expected better from MAC, especially for the price. Nothing special at all. Meh.

one of the most beautiful products i have ever seen,i can just swatch it on my hand and watch how sweet that duochrome color is.this is how these vibrant shades make me feel(sounds like a total makeup junkie).i use it mostly as a cheek highlighter and looks gorgeous on my fair skin.looks great with a matte back eyeshadow too.i dont like over-shimered highlighters, but these kind of stuff is really my thing.chic, not extreme and yet original.the only downfall is that i am not totally satisfied with the lasting power.i apply it wet but still needs reapply sometime.i 've heard that it is being discounted,i have used the half of the jar to this day(old bigger pigment jars),it its is reallygonne be disc., i am definetely buying a back up

The duo chrome effect is so pretty and unique. I love to use this as a cheek highlight above pink blushes because it is so smooth and gives a great sheen. Also like to use this on the inner corner of my eyes with pink or purple eye shadows.

This is one of my favorite pigments. I love the duochrome pink shimmer though its not over the top. I use just a touch of this as a brow bone highlight and it's very subtle shine. Also works great as a pop near the tear duct. I bought this in the new sized jar. Hate the packaging because I'm so afraid of tipping the bottle over and spilling everything. And the cap doesn't seem to screw on as tightly as I'd like. Plus its only half the size of the OJ so I expect that if I use a lot of it, I'll eventually have to repurchase. But I'm very glad that this is a regular perm item.

If i was to ever run out of this I deffo would buy again. Its the softest powder that looks creamy white with an intense pink duo-chrome. I love using this to blend out harsh edges on a smoky eye- it gives the most amazing glow to the look.

Pink Opal is a fine, vanilla coloured powder with an intense light pink duochrome. The coverage is good, it works great when applied wet but it's difficult to match with other eyeshadows because of the unusual duochrome colour. The only MAC pigments that I've found that compliment it well are Entremauve & Deep Blue Green. It looks very odd on its own, and tends to clash with my skin tone if I don't have a darker colour blended with it. So basically, it can be a good highlighting shade, but only if you're using other pigments with a similar duochrome.

Such a beautiful highlight color! The pink/purple duochrome also makes an awesome look over a black base. I only bought a sample, but I would definitely buy the full size! Get it!

This has become my new favorite all over wash color, my first favorite is Vanilla Pigment by MAC- I love it so much, but I like to change things up as well. I recieved a nice big sample of this in a recent swap as an extra, and upon looking at it in the jar it looks like a Yello gold color- no pink to it. Upon application though, this goes on a white slighty pink color with a little duochrome effect that is so unique & versatile with many eyeshadows! I personally myself would not wear this as a lid color just because my preference is to have a darker/neutral colors on my lid. I am so happy with this, and I think I will purchase a full size =)

this is one of the few pigments I would not repurchase. like many of the other pigments I have tried from MAC, this one is silky smooth and easy to blend, apply and layer. the consistency is buttery and silky.
the color is an extremely frosty white with pink sheen depending on the light. it is what I refer to as a metallic finish or "patina."
I really don't pull too much pink with this, and it is too metallic for me to feel comfortable wearing this on the brow bone. It would probably make a nice addition to lighten up a gloss or add shimmer to gloss, lippie or blush.
I would not repurchase this, as I feel it could be duplicated and I just don't have much use for it, I just don't like the metallic look with the white. I like my brow color to be less metallic, but that is my taste I guess.

It is a duo-chrome pinkish silver color that is absolutely amazing is so many ways and is probably one of the most versatile pigments that MAC has come out with.
This is a really good shadow to use all over, but using a base either a black, silver, or even a white base bring the true duo-chrome out of this light pink.
Using this as a highlight gives a little kick of color to a normal everyday neutral look, and is nice using on the tear duct for a more dramatic look. Also this is quite a nice color to mix along with a clear lipgloss, gives a little sassiness to any neutral look. It is also a pretty enough color that you can add onto your cheeks that can add a little bit of pearled color to your normal blush that reflects light and could be used as a highlight by itself as well. Also when I want a little glow I have added a little to my fix plus or other refresher sprays and it gives off the nicest glow without being too shiny.
One of my most favorite pigments overall and its definitely a must have if you can find it.

I use this duochrome over a brown base and with tan pigment and it looks very soft and smokey. It is very light and I'm not sure it would show up on darker skin tones as well.

I love this as a brow bone highlighter when i wear pinky purple eyeshadow looks. It looks awsome with those colors. A lot of people have mentioned that strong pink tones show up on them and i noticed that when i swatched it on my hand, but when i apply it to my brow bone it's not as obvious and the pink dosn't looks as stark it just looks like there is a pink iridescence definately not as bright pink as it looked on my hand. I think people should give this one a try.

This was a nice pink/white duochrome shadow. I wish I could have rated it a 3.5. I did not find much uses for this shade. It looked odd as a brow highlight, but it did not look too flattering as lid color either. Anyways, I love duochromes, so I will keep this in my stash. Maybe it will work better for those with a lighter skin tone?

I forgot that I even owned this, found it at the bottom of my bag and gave it a whirl. Pink Opal is just as the name states, an opalescent shade of white, that has distinctly pink iridescence. For me not a great colour on the eyelid any where, makes me look an 80's flashback, but for a cheek hi-lighter or a small dab in the inner corner of the eyes it looks ok, but nothing special. I have better products that I prefer to use for those purposes.

Best. pigment. ever.
It blends like a dream. I love to use this as a base or a highlight. In the pot, it looks like a creamy-white. But on, you get the reflected pink and, sometimes, the blue. (With Love Knot Lustre Glass, it's OMG!amazing!)
I think the price is fabulous because I've used this 3-4 times a week for the last 4 years or so and am still less than halfway through the pot.
