I myself love this scent. It smells of fresh fruit and white flowers to me. Very rich and sweet, but very pretty. The fruits are tropical to me and the white floral smell makes this scent smell clean to me. This is a scent my Dh always likes me to wear. He says it smells very pretty to him. Another review said it smelled of dryer sheets and I can see that. Dryer sheet smell is a good thing for me. I love love love the way they smell and that is why I do love this scent. It is strong and soft all at the same time. It is beautiful. I also got to meet the creator of this scent at Tak. He is so sweet.

aedes had this placed with such distinction in the shop that i didn't give it time on my skin. beware, it smells very loveable in the bottle, but for an alleged amber, it has zero intrigue. the woman wearing this has no idea she's bad in bed (pardon my base note). flaccid, syrupy and nothing clever to say (and so help me god, it persists dumbly until you want to saw your arm off). chandler burr's positive review of this one has demoted him from siskel to ebert.

Annoying, sweet, and artificial smelling. The Jasmin is there --all covered up with Grape flavored kool-aid. NEXT!

After reading the reviews, I was convinced I would love this scent. I love sharp scents, love citrus, love jasmine. However, this is too, too much lime and too sharp floral combined to create a harsh, almost chemical effect.

This fragrance was love at first sniff for me. I am reviewing the EdP, I received as a sample in a swap and immediately had to buy a full bottle. The dry down is the best part, the lime and mandarin comes out a bit more but so does the woody base so it all stays beautifully balanced. I do *not* get any amber from this, but instead citrus (mainly orange and lime) and warm woods with just a hint of vanilla. Reminds me of a beautiful sunny day and is a very comforting scent. Next, want to try the parfum.

I'm very surprised of how much i love this one .I don't usually go for this kind of perfume but this one captures my heart with such warm feelings and vivid images.I think that lupa's review is up to the point.I'm not sure i smell the mango but in my nose the top notes remind me of a greener mandarin, and just in a while it becames headier without losing it's green quality. It has an amazing drydown(my favorite part).A warm vanilla with woody nuances with just a bit of cistus labdanum.Repurchase for sure.

this smell makes me so happy i can't even speak in full sentences about it. it's a wonderful 4-toned chord of mango, jasmine, orange blossom and lime which smooths over my skin. smells of late spring sunlight on a quiet island beach. delectable fruit salad under a tropical arbor. what those pictures of caribbean paradises actually smell like.

i absolutely love this scent. i wear it to bed a lot. on me there is no drydown; the fragrance stays true from start to finish and i love the smell so much that i appreciate it quite a bit.

I recently purchased two sets of samples from Aedes.Of the fourteen different ones including Two Creeds ,Carthusia and Datura,Ambra di Venezia is the most beautiful and intoxicating fragrance of all,it smells of sweet peaches and amber.I most definately need the "big" bottle of this beauty. Oh,the smell of it! Venezia!

I got a sample from aedes. It's almost pure jasmine on me (with a bit of sweetness, but note really fruity). I do not get any mango. Just heady white flowers... (and I love while flowers!) It's not as delicate as la chasse, or as fruity as MPG passiflore (I don't get any fruit note at all!) It's a pretty scent, but didn't satisfy my expectation. For this price ($120), I don't think I need a full bottle.

Ambra di Venezia is a lush warm opulent floral. I couldn't find the amber. I would liken it to La Chasse, Apothia.if, and Giorgio in its profusion. I found Ambra di Venezia to be a pretty floral,
but the mango-jasmine thing was
indeed a bit strange at times.

I am loving this fragrance! I am not good at describing the different notes, so I won't. I like that it is so different from what I am used to wearing and I find it so feminine and lovely. I will definately purchase again. I met the creator at Tak and he was so fabulous to talk to! Makes me love the frag even more!!

I have to say that my review is very similar to Marianne's below. I was intrigued by the description of notes on Aedes and ordered a sample. At first, it was very floral and sweet and then I became aware of a soapy laundry scent for a while. Wasn't sure if I liked that, but it's passed now and smells like lime and jasmine several hours later. I think it's very different and will continue to wear it. Description: Based on French Narcissus and Jasmine with additions of mango, mandarin orange, and lime. 1.7 oz EDP $75, 1 oz Parfum $125.

I am wearing this fragrance for the first time. I am not a floral person but I thought that I would give this a whirl to break out of the sandalwood, vanilla, amber & musk prison of winter fragrances. I smell sweet mango and a floral fragrance that I can't recognize. I must confess that as this fragrance envelopes me, I am liking it more and more. There is nothing that I can really compare this to, except Cabotine without the green note, replace the green note with a white floral note. Perfect springtime & summertime fragrance that would compliment pastels and white clothing.

This is intoxicating and warm, fruity, light and airy - perfect for summer. Can't wait to wear it in the summer. Reminds me of the fresh feeling of being in a new place, on vacation, in a cafe, a restaurant in New Orleans - very Carnival, as someone mentioned. Hot and sensual, but still light-hearted, love it.

I like this fragrance! It's one of my favorite fruity florals. Very feminine and elegant, with notes of narcissus, jasmine, mango, mandarin orange, and lime. A perfect spring/summer fragrance with a nice staying power.

I received a sample of this and am testing it right now. I have to say, this is a very sweet floral. I don't care for it too much, it's making me nauseous. I could see this scent for the sophisticated, elegant woman, and would wear this to a fancy event, if I could stand it. However, I can't wear this for too long, I'm going to have to wash this scent off.

I "really" liked it on one level, but then I realized why....It kind of reminds me of (showing my age) this thing which I had totally forgotten - the early 1960's ish..It was called "KING STIR" and it was a swizzle stick kind of kid's thing..you put a stick in a glass of water and the fizzle stuff dissolved from the stick, much like an alka-seltzer...and a fruit flavored drink resulted....I'd likely never remembered this fad drink the rest of my life but for this scent on my wrist....
And with that whiff, I was kind of like lost in a summer as a child...grape King Stirr (koolaid and alka seltzer) grass stains on white cotton shorts mingled with that organic stuff that contains e-coli....cows maybe? (okay, I grew up near many a cow pasture) Not to say this is a nasty smelling concoction, but not really 'good' either. A neighbor's basement and women smelling of perfume amidst the kids in stained shorts, grape drinks and cow dung. It's a place to revisit, and revisit with a smile...but I'm not sure I'd want my skin to smell like this particular place from the past..

When I was a trainer, a client of mine wore some kind of feminine deoderant spray (I know because when I would stretch her it was definitely coming from between her legs!) and Ambra di Venezia smells exactly like whatever it was she wore. Unfortunate, but true. This was nothing but cloying and headache-inducing on me.

What a lovely scent! This is not what I think of when I think of amber, but I love it. I got a sample of it from Aedes, which I have plowed through.

Naiad captures the mood of this scent very well in her review. It is warm, but lightened by florals. Most amber is too heavy and almost grating for me, but this one is rather soothing.

The fragrance was sweet and deliciously intoxicating. The floral notes cut through the sweet warmth of the scent and created an effect almost like a candlelit table of sweets decorated with golden vases of flowers. Quite lovely.

So incredibly warm and sexy and yet has a touch of airy lightness from the citrus and mango to keep this intense scent from asphyxiating people in tight spaces. Imagine an apartment in Venice during Carnival with the scents of champagne, rich floral perfumes, candied fruits in sparkling silver bowls and exquisite amber balls wafting their heady scent into the air... that is Ambra di Venezia, swirling seductively about the glittering chandeliers and velvet couches, inspiring decadence and sensuality.
