This color is not the barely noticeable soft pink color with a hint of shimmer that some other posters have described. on my toes it is a very obviously frosted nail polish, and it has a very white tone to it. I would call it a pinky golden white which is not transparent. Actually 1 coat of it on my toes pretty much matches the look of the polish in the bottle.

I am kind of bummed as this is not what I wanted. I wanted to buy Essie Delicacy, which is a beautiful and very subtle improvement on a nude nail, but they didn't have it.

Just when I thought I did not need another Essie nude shade, I saw Intimate. I know it looks similar to so many pale pink Essie shades, but what makes it different is the sheen. Not exactly a frost, but more of a glow that comes off your nail. Yes, it is a pale pink, but it has a very pretty white/pink sheen to it, that just brightens up your whole hand. It is a very clean look, appropriate for any occasion, but you probably need to have healthy nails for it to look nice. It is not a forgiving shade, if your nails have ridges or the shape is not filed well, etc, Intimate will highlight all flaws. Other than that, it is a great change of pace from Ballet Slippers and the other matte nude shade.

This is a nice semi-sheer pale delicate pink with quite a bit of frost. Application was easy and streak-free for me. The color was lovely for my cool-toned PPP skin tone, although I thought it might be just a touch too whitish/pale at times. Overall, I thought it was a really lovely shade that I'd wear or buy again.

I'm a NC43/Beyonceish shade and this color is way too blah for me. I could see it working on someone who is fairskinned, but anyone who would be considered "dark" or "medium" toned around MUA will probably want to skip this one.

A nice choice for a frenc or corporate look. I agree with the other reviewer in that I like Tutti Frutti Tonga (OPI) and similar shades.

I was really skepitical about Essie polish since OPI is the only thing I have ever had any luck with staying on. But the reviews for this color tempted me and I swapped for it. I am really glad that I did. It is a sheer pale nudey pink with light shimmer. I am a glitter-aphobe so I was a little afraid it would be too shimmery, but it is a sublte sparkle. It is also the shiniest polish I have ever seen, especially for the first few days, just short of seeing my reflection in my nails. After 5 days it showed a little wear, but it did not peel off of me like most N/P do. If you found OPI's Tutti Frutti Tonga too frosty, but want a little shimmer, this may be for you.

I've been straying from Ador-A-Ball and Ballet Slippers lately, and picked Intimate when I got my nails done yesterday. Intimate is a *very* pretty nude pale pink shade that gives the look of natural nails with a slight hint of shimmer that can only be seen if you look at the color up close. Simply gorgeous...a great natural shade with a bit of glimmer for glamour ;)

I absolutely love every Essie polish I've bought so far. This company was made for someone like me who thinks she needs 80 different subtle, barely-there colors that are only marginally different from each other. Anyway, Intimate is GORGEOUS. I've only used it on my toes so far, and its pale, shimmery pink just about matches my PPP toes.So at first it looks like I just have perfect toenails, but if you look closer, there's a beautiful shiny, yet subtle, shimmer. Essie rocks!

Gorgeous! My favorite Essie shade! This is a beautiful ever so slightly shimmery nude pink. This would be absolutely perfect for a bride (I wish they would've had this shade whan I got married!)Very feminine and very classy. for some reason, I did not have the streaking problems with this shade like I did with the others I've tried. A Holy Grail product!
