Hmmmmmmmmmm.......I think it'd work better, for me, if it wasn't a sheer or light coverage. It does work well, if it's anything minor, but for anything else, I'd look for something else. I do think it is one of the better stick concealers out there, as I like that it is buildable and creamy. It's easy to blend into my skin. Works the best around my eye area. So, I really use it as an eye brightener rather than a concealer. Also, I don't do much blending, when using this, as it doesn't cover well, I tap it on with a concealer brush. This works out better.

I have been using this product for years. I will say that they needs to make more shades for girls with darker skin tones, but that could be said about many makeup companies....

But this is a good product. I do NOT use this for my under-eye circles. It's far too thick, of course it will be cakey/settle into fine lines. Anyone with any concealer experience should be able to see this just by looking at the product.

It is really, really good for covering blemishes/redness, though. You just dab it on and blend it a little with your finger if needed, as it is quite creamy(similar to dermablend). What's so excellent about this concealer is that it dries nicely, and doesn't leave sticky or oily residue like other concealers. You can put it on and then set it with powder, and the concealer won't cling to everything, making you look splotchy-an issue I have had with other products. I do think they reformulated this, but it still works well for me. They used to have a powder finish stick that I was fond of, too, but they either discontinued it or it has become very rare. The talc-free version is okay, too, but offers a little less coverage in my opinion. Good and easy to find drugstore concealer, worth trying.

Oh, and it has never broken me out, ever. Score.

I wanted a thicker concealer because I've had back luck with the liquid wand kind. Gentle Cover did the job, and it's surprising that it was among the cheapest concealers at Wal-Mart ($7) since Physicians Formula products are normally very expensive. It's a bit difficult to use with a brush once it starts getting used up, but I'm not sure how the packaging could be improved upon. I like how this concealer lightens up my blue-toned circles under my eyes- I have noticed a bit of creasing in that area, but with primer and not too thick of an application, this should be avoided. I have already re-purchased another one since I'll run out soon.

Not a lot better than similar items, but you really can't go wrong.

I really like the color correctors offered in this line (Yellow/Green) but this did not work for me at all. When used alone, I had to use a lot of it to conceal anything (comparative to the other shades), however, using this amount looked cakey and felt heavy based on the formulation of the product. I was not sure what I could use this for.. not for redness, undereye, etc....

I guess I had specific needs i.e. redness, dark circles, which color correctors did a great job of hiding. But I didn't think this concealer worked very well for any of those uses at all so it was not even a multipurpose concealer.

This is one of the best drugstore concealer sticks. The shade matches my fair skin and never turns into pink as most of the drugstore concealers.
I use it for my acne and it works pretty well.

Not so great, even though it seemed to advertise perfectly for my sensitive, easily allergic eyes. The coloring attracted me as well because it seemed to not be too light or yellow for my skintone. However, just like the other PF concealer, this gentle cover one was far too thick and resulted in undereye puffiness.

Really great concealer!! I was not very happy with my previous concealer and have been looking for a better one for ages and actually saw this one in a makeup tutorial on YouTube by AndreasChoice. The packaging is very convinient being in a lipstick tube and is a lot less messy than a pot. I normally put this under my eyes and blend with a concealer brush, but using your fingers works just as well. I love the creamy texture and I am very happy with the product especially being a drugstore brand. It is definetly one of the best concealers you can find in a drugstore!! Some people are complaining how it doesn't set off undereye circles or blemishes but the brand has special ones specifically suited for those problems so I don't see why they are complaining if they bought this one! It works really great even on a day when you don't want to wear foundation and just put this on and set it with powder. It does fade away a little and might settle in your lines so I reccomend setting it with powder. Otherwise, a great buy!!

Nice packaging good for on the go. I personally like this lipstick tube a lot better than a pot. It's easy to apply and its super smooth. I got it in the color light, which is a little light for me but it's okay because its not WAY to much light. I like how it covers really nicely for my undereye and redness around my nose. It gives a medium-full coverage. It doesn't dry out my undereye area which I usually I have problem with most concealers. Covers really nice and I personally think it's a lot better than the NARS stick concealer. I had that concealer and it was drying and not as creamy as this. So skip out on the crappy NARS one and get the PF one =))

I use this for undereyes and nose area currently. It is a medium-heavy coverage solid concealer in a lipstick format. It is creamy and applies well when patted on, lasts pretty long, but gets cakey with the amount of coverage needed for my undereye area. I think it'd fare well for blemishes as it is skin-toned and long-lasting. It's a shame I've only seen it in a shade meant for fair-skinned, pale girls. Shade selection is extremely poor. Price is good though, especially on sale I got this for barely $4 at a local Rexall for 50% off. I'll continue to use it on my nose area as it blends fairly well, is moisturizing, and cures the dryness around there.

I really like this concealer It really covers the acne scars on my cheeks really well and doesn't break me out. It has quite a shiny finish to it if worn alone but a quick dab of pressed powder does the trick. I'm impressed with it's staying power and it takes a while to finish the stick/bullet. Great price too =)

This concealer is the perfect shade for me (light) but I feel like its way too dry. If I use it on my cheeks where I'm a bit oilier, it goes on okay. But it has absolutely no blending ability. You have to 'pat' it on, which sometimes works, sometimes...not. I read some reviews and I thought it would a great under eye concealer, but like I said, its way too dry. It actually makes me look more tired since it looks so chalky and sits in the little creases under my eyes. Its possible that maybe I just got an old product that was dried out, so I almost want to buy a new one and see if it blends better, since its the perfect shade for me.

This concealer leaves a white cast... which I hate, I have lots of redness around my nose and when I put it over, it looks whitish, it's not *that* noticeable since I'm lighter (about NW20?). This does horrible! - on zits, I'm using it because it's the only thing I've got right now, it's a light coverage, it mutes down the red but it doesn't cover it completely. For under-eye - well, I don't have bags, but I have a tad of a hollow if you know what I mean and it covers well for that and any blue/purples around the eyes. All in all, I won't buy it again, it might work for the eye, but not for zits and stuff.

This also settles into creases and dry skin so that's another reason why it's hard to use it on blemishes.

i dont like this. it was the wrong color for me but thats not why i dont like it.

Cons:

very messy. gets all over the packaging, including the black twisting part.
doesnt cover redness
bullet is easily broken

Pros:

um..... its cheap? actually, i dont know this because it was bought for me. that's why it was the wrong color.

price: im assuming it was cheap considering it was drugstore
packaging: the concealer got all over the packaging to the point where i couldnt even pull off the cap without getting concealer on my fingers

overall i dont think i will be purchasing this again.

Acne sucks. But don't pity me, because you would never know it thanks to this concealer :) I use my nifty little brushes to apply it directly to any spots (zits) that I have and voila! gone. The light shade is not tooo yellow or too pink for my skin, and I like that it applies thick enough to actually conceal. I've used this for years and years. Success!!

This is a fairly standard bullet concealer stick. Tends to rub off on absolutely everything (including on the inside the tube packaging, itself). Color match was good-not too orange and not too ashen, either. Still, I'm in agreement with others here, that if you have a slightly oily skin, this heightens the shine factor over time, and slides off pretty quickly-meaning more frequent re-application and touch-ups. I'm lazy that way, so this concealer has become something of an irritant for me. Messy and complicated. I wouldn't suggest this as an everyday 'go-to'. Just something to have in your kit if you're desperate.

Physicians Formula's "light" is similar in tone to MAC'S nc15-nc20. I've bought this concealer stick for years. It cover's without caking and blends so well over moisturizer without "rolling up" on the skin. As for color, it's the best "light" that I've come across in a drugstore brand. Unlike some, it doesn't wash out the complexion, making it dull and corpse like. I recently started running low on my Physicians Formula GCC and thought I might try MAC Studio Finish concealer as I really like the professional results of MAC products. So imagine my disappointment when I felt the formulation of Physicians Formula was a bit superior to that of MAC's. The pliability of the concealer was easier and the application was so much more convenient. I have bought another Physician's Formula Gentle Cover Concealer in "light" once again and will have the MAC Studio Cover for any extra spot coverage I may require.

I didn't care much for this product. It glided on smoothly but didn't really blend for me easily. Also, after one use the bullet completely broke. It was ok for covering blemishes but I don't think I would buy this again.

I am so happy to have finally found a concealer that covers my acne scars while being gentle enough for my problem skin. My skin hates foundation so concealer is my only other option, and this one is perfect. It covers extremely well and the light shade is the perfect color for me. Unlike most stick concealers I've tried, this one does not dry out my skin or cause flakes. As far as I can tell I haven't had one breakout from this product yet. This is a great concealer!
UPDATE: After a while this started leaving an oily film on my skin and pretty much melting off throughout the day. The light shade that I thought was right for my skin was NOT after looking at pictures so I bought the medium shade. It looks almost identical to the light. Waste of money, unfortunately.
