I went to a Benefit Cosmetics Counter one day looking at another product for my brows. The SA offered to demonstrate the different brow products on me, telling me how lucky I am to actually have eye brows. I thought that was a bizarre statement, until I looked at hers more closely, which without brow makeup, would have been non-existent. She said she had over-plucked hers and now she was so sorry she had and has to use the kits/pencils just to have eyebrows. Well, that's not why I wanted the Brow Zing. My brows are very light in color and I'd been using pencils to arch/darken them. I wanted something with more staying power.
Enter Brow Zings. One side has the wax, the other has the powder. The kit has a little mirror, one angled brush, one regular brush and a tweezer. It's compact enough to carry with you in your makeup bag. It's not cheap. But I've had it about a year now and it's not even half-used so that should tell you how long it lasts. So in the long run, the price could be decent.
I like the angled brush. It works well in applying the wax to define my brows to the shape I want. The regular brush works well for applying the powder. They're small and easy to handle. They wash well and have held up well through the year. The tweezers are good tweezers. Even the compact mirror is a decent one.
My only complaint is that the color of the wax is darker than I would like in the Light. I still have to go lighter than I would like with the wax and use a very light blonde pencil to fill in or a clear wax pencil instead and the powder is also a little darker than I would like. If I'm going for a Marilyn Monroe type look or Audrey Hepburn eyebrow that's fine. Otherwise, I must lighten them with some mineral powder (which I would do anyway to set my brows). I also still run a brow brush through my brows after applying the wax/powder to straighten them and clear any particles of wax out of them.
Next time around I'll just stick with the clear wax pencil after using the blonde pencil to color in my brows. It seems like a lot of work but it's really the same, just using two pencils instead of two brushes. Also, I don't think it's too sanitary after awhile with the Brow Zing. I do clean the brushes regularly but I'm still wondering about how long the makeup will be sanitary. The pencils I can just put in a sharpener.
So if you like the convenience of your eyebrow kit in one little package, this kit would be for you at an expensive price if you like a darker brow. Otherwise, go buy one pencil in the shade you like and one wax pencil in clear and you're set to go for a lot cheaper. I'm sure you already have tweezers and a compact handy. Plus you'll have more control with the pencils.

I went to the benefit brow bar to get my brows done and i asked the girl to show me how to shape and give them more of an arch and she used the brow zings kit on me and i was sold. it comes with a pigmented wax, powder, small angled brush, small blending brush, mirror and a pair of tweezers. I make the shape around the brows with the angled brush & wax, fill them in then go over with the powder, this gives my brows such a gorgeous defined, arched brow that lasts all day long, the only negative i have is that for a 'light' shade it's pretty dark for my ashy blonde hair, i'd say more of a medium but i just use a pressed foundation powder over top to lighten it up and it's perfect

I love this product! I will start with the pros, the packaging is sturdy and had tumbled around in my purse many times without it getting harmed. The amount of product has lasted me forever, and I use it every single day. The powder is wonderfully pigmented and the wax shade paired with it is a perfect match. The two brushes and mini tweezers come in super handy. I wish I could give it a 5/5, but now for what I didn't like.

What bothers me about this product is it is not a universal light. Despite being a darker shade of blonde, my hair is ashy and much more of a silver blonde than a golden blonde. This powder when applied with a less conservative hand looks very dark and unnatural shade on me. I personally go for a full, thick, Audrey Hepburn like brow myself, so to have this powder not work for me makes me sad. It would be worth repurchasing if it was in my right color. So to be fair "yes" I would buy this product again, if I end up dyeing my hair It is worth the money if it works for you, alas not for me. 4/5 for the poor shade range in the product.

Amazing! I use this product daily, and it's just really lovely! Brushes along with a pair of tweezers are included with the wax and powder.

I recommend outlining your brows with the slanted brush and wax and gently stroking on the brow hairs, then blending in the powder. Works for me! ^.^

This is actually a really great product - good value because even though it is pretty pricey, you get a ton of product and it lasts and lasts.
Packaging quality is nice, and the little included tweezers work in a pinch (ha!) although I find they are too little to even think of replacing my tweezermans.

So why not 5 lippies? The color - this pulls very warm on me and everyone I've seen it on, which is great for those with warm toned hair. Unfortunately, mine isn't. And this makes my brows look too obviously different from my hair color no matter how I apply it.

But for those for whom the colors are a good match - this would be a great buy!

This is my favorite product to use for brows. I'm naturally a blonde, and I bought this before I dyed my hair red. It still works for me, though. I've never used the tweezer it comes with, but it might be good in a pinch. I prefer to use this with a standard size angle brush instead of the little ones it comes with, but I've used them before and they work fine as well. I like that you get a good amount of product, because it is kind of expensive. I usually apply the wax first, then fill in gaps with the powder. This product makes my eyebrows look so much nicer than they actually are, it's easy to use, and lasts all day. Definite repurchase.

Let me start off by saying that this brow product is for a bolder look - more when you want a more luscious, glamourous eyebrow look, not necessarily a natural one. I was matched in the light kit at Macy's. My brows are a very light ash blonde and somewhat sparse...really almost invisible, unless I do something to enhance them. This kit is on the darker side of what I would use on daily basis (Chanel eyebrow pencil in blond clair), but it gives me a really glamourous, full looking brow that I will never have on my own. It is great for photography or special occasions, in my opinion. The product itself is really nice...one side is a powder and the other is a tinted wax. The SA who matched me put the wax on first and then filled in with the powder on top, but I do the opposite...feather on the powder first, then go over the top with the wax, which gives a softer look. The powder is really creamy and I don't have any fallout from it and the wax is not too dry and not too soft. I use a Clinique slanted liner brush to apply and then smooth through it with a spoolie brush. I've had this product for over a year and its still nearly full (although I probably use it once or twice a month on average). Its a great product, but at 30 dollars, I probably won't buy it again when it runs out because I use it so infrequently. But if full, sexy brows are your everyday look, I highly recommend this.

I am a blonde with light brown eyebrows. the "light" was way too dark for me. it made my brows look heavy and clumpy. I have a $5 eyebrow pencil from the drugstore that works WAY better than this stuff.

I have had this product for about 3 years and it looks barely used. I love this stuff. I am a natural level 6 in my hair color, and they say to buy a brow shade 3 shades lighter than your hair. I don't use the wax side much. Maybe I don't know how? But what I do is take a brow brush, brush my brows downward, take the small brush that's included and put the powder on the upper arch of my brows and the natural way they go and then I brush my brows back into place and they look PERFECT everytime. I could never get this sleek of a look with a pencil and I find that the wax wears off throughout the day from pencils. This is a great product and I will repurchase shall I ever run out. :)

I am absolutly IN LOVE with this product. I started shaping in my brows about a year ago with eye shadow and purchased this product a few months ago. It gives much stronger defination as the wax helps make your eyebrows pop. Then a quick run over with the eye shadow and you are ready to go! I have red hair so my eye brows are quite fair. I find this colour perfect as it is not too dark but gives just the right amount of definition. A must have for any brow fanatics!

I was told that this colour would be suitable for redheads. WRONG. This is a BROWN colour, not suitable for the eyebrows of redheads! I was very disappointed by the colour options of this product!

While the pigmented wax is useful for shaping, the powder is like other brow powders I have used -- nothing special. As there is no suitable colour for me, I will NOT be purchasing this again.

I purchased this in order to fill in and shape my brows, and it does the trick perfectly. The wax holds the shape of your natural hairline whilst the powder helps to shade in any sparse areas. It appears very natural on my fair complexions and isn't too dark.

Well, since I discovered that I have literally no eyebrows before I use this, I can't live without it! I have very thin sparse eyebrows mainly due to overplucking. I wasn't really interested in this product before, but whilst having a look at the Benefit counter I was ambushed by a sales assistant and had a load of products smeared onto my face. I was actually amazed at how much fuller and neater my brows looked after she tried it out on me, so I got some. I love this product! It really gives my brows a good shape and with a bit of practice I can now get them looking as perfect as she did. I love the little compact, it's small sleek and contains tiny little brushes and tweezers. It's very expensive though, but apparently worth the price because it lasts for about a year. There's an almost identical set from ELF for just £3.50, which people can try if they can't afford the Benefit one, but I think this one does the job just that much better. Overall though, it definitely does what it's supposed to. The wax neatens the brows while the powder fills them in and adds colour. One lippy taken away for the price, but other than that it's my brow HG!

I was pleasantly surprised by this product, I'd wanted something to just make my eyebrows look a little fuller with a tad more shape. I've been blessed with dark, full, well shaped eye brows which need very little maintenance so I'm not sure how well this would work on somebody who needed a little more help.

The colour, Light, isn't really that. It's much darker than than and would probably not work too well on someone who has very blonde eyebrows.

I love the fact that they have the wax and the powder, as before I was using a Barry M dazzle dust when I wanted to add shape to my brows which made them look too thick and painted on. The wax alone sort of has this effect, but when blended with the powder, the results are much nicer.

The packaging is darling, a sleek black compact which could be carried around in your bag without too much hassle. The price is a little high in my opinion, although the woman on the BeneFit desk did assure me that it would last me a year. We shall see...

This a very good brow product. I have to admit, I would not consider it to be a "light". More of a medium than anything. It works great with my red hair. My eyebrows are already red, so something with a bit more ash to it makes them look very natural, but not as obvious as they are naturally. I like the way that this has the two sides to it. I put the wax on the outside half of my brows first, then go over the whole length of them with the powder. It always looks a little dark, so I do have to brush over them with a clean mascara wand a few times, but the results are great. It's definitely something that I'm glad I bought, and would totally recommend it to others who have light brown or dark blonde hair, it's just alright for me. However, the quality of the product itself is wonderful, so definitely check them out!

When I first bought this product, I really wanted to refund right away; it looked too red on my hand, consider I am a Chinese with natural dark hair, I don't want red eyebrows. But I still gave it a try, because I have been looking for a tinted brow wax forever and I finally compromise to Benefits. I am glad that I did, because it doesn't look too red on my brow. The wax makes my brows stay groomed and the the color is very natural; I have full eyebrows and I dont want darker shade to deepen my brows. Also the light powder in the compact is a great eyeshadow (with Benefits high brow) for the days that I want nude, natural makeup. The tools in the compact is useless; the tweenzer is too sharp and too small, the brushes are too small to grasp. I apply the waxy powder with an eye brow brush. The tutorial in the Benfits wesbite is totally not helping; if you follow her tutorial, you will end up having two thick eyebrows that look unnatural and too thick. I deduct one mark because the wax is still a bit too red for me, but most people won't notice esp if your makeup is more tend to be warm tone. I still think this is the best eye brow product. Good Job Benefit.
