I read reviews and watched several you tube video reviews on color stay nail polish. i bought the base, color and top coat and put it on. I let it dry well before doing anything with my hands.4 hours later i had wear on my nail tips despite me capping my nails well. the next day, not even 24 hours later i had a chip on one nail. 2 days later almost ever nail is chipped and the nail polish is dented and looks like trash. I'm returning this polish and won't buy it again. I'll stick with my gel nail polish.

I was really surprised by this. I bought this brand because one of my favorite YouTubers was raving about one of the colors, and because there was a half-off coupon (I got 2 bottles for $5). The shades I have are Velvet Rope, a dark red, and Indigo Night, which is a bright medium blue. The polish has a nice consistency, is really opaque, and the brush is rounded. It only took 2 coats to get my nails solid. I have yet to see how it wears, but I predict it'll stay nicely because I use a really good base and topcoat. The color selection is decent in my opinion, it's not really extensive but they have some rather unique colors, which I'm a fan of. It also dried pretty quickly so I don't know what happened to those who found it dried slowly.

I love the revlon color stay polish in the Pale cashmere color. It is the perfect clean and bright light pinky nude for me (olive skin) I find it applied great after 2 coats. The first coat is streaky but once you put on the 2nd coat it evens it out perfect. I used the old revlon color stay polish before when they had two bottles and also the new one with just one bottle. I love it, and I usually use Essies polish in adore a ball. It is the same quality in my opinion and $2.00 cheaper. Love

I purchased two of these polishes after hearing raves about the Colorstay line from several Youtubers. I was hesitant at first because they are pricey for drug store nail polish, but I found them at Walmart for around $6 so decided to try them. I chose the colors Provence, a gorgeous pale lilac-grey, and Indigo Night, a bright, saturated medium blue. In short, Provence was a complete fail for me. It was streaky and thick to apply, slow to dry, and bubbled on nearly every nail. I tried it on two different occasions because I so loved the color and got the same result each time :( Indigo Night was better application wise - still thick and rather slow drying but it stayed on well. The only issue I had was that it dried much darker than the bottle color - it looked dustier and almost a shade darker on the nail. I will still wear it, but was a bit disappointed since I really loved the color in the bottle. So, all in all, I won't be repurchasing from this line unless (BIG unless) I see a really unique color from it. Otherwise, I will stick with the regular Revlon and Top Speed lines.

I have the pale cashmere color of this nail polish. I do like the color but with any light colored polish, it did go on somewhat streaky. Took 3 thin coats to make it more opaque and hide the streaks. I have had that problem with pretty much any light colored polish though, so that is not unique to Revlon for me.

I also agree with some other reviewers that said that it takes a very long time to dry. It will seem like it's dry to the touch, but then when you start doing things with your hands, or go to sleep, you get dents and sheet marks. I think I read somewhere that this colorstay system is "UV cured". I have a LED light from a DIY gel nail polish kit, so I thought I'd try that to see if it would help. I painted a thin coat of the top coat (over my smudged, sheet marked mani) and put my nails under the light for a minute. It worked! I know a lot of people may not have one of these lights laying around, and Revlon says nothing about needing anything like this, so I took off a couple of lippies for that. But for those of you that have one of these lights and like me, don't like how long it takes to remove a gel mani at home, give this a try! With this method, this nail polish did last longer on my nails than any other nail polish I've tried.

I am so impressed with these polishes that I purchased three colors from this line. I will likely buy more if I come across colors that catch my eye. These truly last longer than regular nail polishes I use and each coat is so pigmented.

Um, I would think that colorSTAY means that the color is suppose to actually STAY on your nails. I got this nail color in Stormy Night, which is a gorgeous grey/purple fall color for me. However, this stuff was chipping the next day! I tried putting the colorstay top coat on it, but that did not help much. I'm kind of disappointed with this product. I love Revlon, but not these.

This has just launched in the UK and the claim is that it competes against shellac etc with 11 days wear guaranteed. Bollocks. When I tried this it chipped within an hour of drying and was pretty much trashed after 2 days of wear. Admittedly it's marginally less bad than regular Revlon polish but that's nothing to boast about. I gave it 2 lippies because the flatter, wider brush is nice and it's opaque in one coat but the polish takes an age to dry and it also dries lumpy. Using a fast dry top coat just makes it peel off after a day or so. The only way in which it compares with Shellac is in the glossy finish and stupendously boring range of shades. It's also expensive for a drugstore brand.

Does last longer than regular polish on my nails. Not a huge color range that I am interested in though. I like Zoya colors better.

I have mixed feelings about this. I got two - red (I think red carpet) and provence (a lilac color).

I did find these had good lasting power. However, they are difficult to apply evenly and go on really thick. I really don't like wasting my time with polishes like this because it can be several dedicated hours to not doing anything with my hands when the polish is so thick and slow to dry. Also, the double brush is weird and does not help in application in any way.

I did like the actual colors quite a bit - it was a pretty red and a pretty lilac for sure. Yet I haven't reached for either again since the first time. I won't buy again.

I recommend the regular Revlon polishes instead - they last a decent length of time for DS polishes, come in a lot of colors that change pretty often, and most of the formulas are really nice.

I was fooled by the Colourstay label into buying this. Don't! The polish is super sheer so you need at least 3 coats (or maybe it's just because I bought the sparkly white one, Always Cool), and it chips really, really easily. There's no staying power at all, and what doesn't chip off is a pain to remove.

I have this in Fall Mood. I adore the colour, it's a gorgeous shimmery/slightly sparkly bronze. Unfortunately it doesn't even last 24 hours on me without chipping. It's a real shame but it won't stop me from wearing it because I love the colour so much.

Got this in Provence, a bluish lilac colour which is very pretty. Unfortunately, the polish is so thick and blobby it comes out looking streaky with one coat and ridged and streaky with the second one. Applying a third coat gets rid of the streaks only to be replaced with lumps and bumps. It looks like a four year old did my nails (I'm not that inexperienced!) Also as others have said it takes a ridiculously long time to dry. It is still literally in a "wet" state after about five minutes. (I lightly tapped my nail with my finger and expected little to no tackiness but instead got gooey polish and ruined the nail). Using Seche Vite helped in the drying department but it doesn't hide the lumpiness.

Can't speak to how long it lasts because I've tried three times and cannot get a good application, so back to the store it goes. Disappointed.

I had high hopes for this polish but I find it chips just as easily if not more than my other cheapie Sally Hansen polishes. It's a lot thicker than other formulas so you can probably get by with 1 coat but I like 2. The long-lasting shine is nice, however.

I love this stuff for my toes because I can use two coats plus the topcoat and they look perfect for WEEKS. But I hate it on my fingernails. It takes FOR-EVER to dry - like hours. It's easy to walk around barefoot all day but impossible to sit around with your hands laying on the table all day. And if you use 2 coats, you really honestly need to wait like 24 hours in between coats or it just never sets up properly. So what I usually do for my toes is to paint one coat, then another coat 24 hours later, then the top coat 24 hours after that. Removing it is a super human feat. It takes 10x the number of cotton pads and half a bottle of remover. So it's just way too difficult and time consuming for fingers, but it's great for toes because you can just forget about it for weeks at a time. I would buy it again but only for toes.

This polish is a 2-part system with color and a durable topcoat. I bought this in "Always Sheer Buff" which is a sheer white/pink color (great for my job as a nurse). 1, maybe 2, coats are applied followed by the topcoat. Nice, shiny finish that lasts. I like it because it is the only polish system that can withstand all the handwashes in nursing. I've worn it the whole entire week and not 1 chip. Most other polishes chip on the first working day after I've polished. Because of that, I gave up polishing my fingernails. With this color, it is sheer enough to be professional and pretty. However, like others have said, dang it takes way too long to dry! I've woken up to dents and dings on my nails.

The colour i got was in sheer camisole and it was very streaky, it took a long time to dry, appears almost white when it's supposed to be pink and is really easy to get off. Even if you wait a day or two, you can still shape the nail polish like its mouldable? very disappointed because i like the rest of the revlon colorstay products =/

Great staying power!

I buy the clear coat, just to top off whatever brand I'm using, and it works like a charm. My nails last at LEAST 6 days, and I am very active with my hands. My toenails don't chip at all, they grow out and then I redo them...which takes an unbelievably long time!

My only gripe with this is how long it takes to dry. It will actually be dry to the touch, but not hardened, so you can push it around and screw up your nails, or nick them without even knowing, and they'll dry like that...and stay like that for a VERY long time. For that, I give it a 4.

Sticky until it dries, which takes forever, and very difficult to remove. Any smudges will be set in stone, btw.

Wow, this fingernail polish has some serious staying power! I painted my toenails and weeks later it was still on there just like the day I painted them. My fingernails don't last quite as long though because I constantly wash them and pick at my nails...I know bad habit. But it definitely last a lot longer than regular polishes! I love it!
