This review is for the shade Dreamer, which is a subtle dusty rose that smells faintly citrus and was part of the Sweet Dreams holiday set. I'm not usually a fan of cream blushes but this shade is so natural on my nc25 skin that it looks like a pleasant flush instead of makeup. It also works well for me as I tend to go for dewy looks and rarely use matte base products, however I think the finish of Dreamer is so dewy when first applied it borders on glossy and it has the potential to look oily atop matte foundation or powder. It isn't shimmery at all and has a decent amount of pigment so only a small swipe is needed for a good, natural application. It's hard to build up much opacity due the the thick, slick finish, so I'd only recommend this for natural or no makeup looks on people with medium skin or lighter. I like the twist up solid stick, but have noticed some oil can separate at the top between uses even though the cap is tightly screwed on. The colour lasts all day without setting powder but the finish does dry to be less glossy over time, which in my opinion is a good thing considering how glowy it is when first applied.

I used to love these cheek stains, which I believe were my first foray into Tarte. I currently have 3 in the old packaging--tickled (which was discontinued when they updated the packaging), blissful and tipsy. Tipsy is too light and too frosty, even for my N/NW10-15 skin, and the other two are pretty, natural and sheer, but the only way I have success applying these is with my fingers, which warms them up and allows me to blend them. I don't like having to do this, and don't like the tacky feeling they leave, which doesn't go away.

I reviewed the colour "Flush" which I did not enjoy and do not reccomend.
The colour "Muse" that I received in the Bon Voyage set however is amazing, it has a beautiful neutral, frosty shade. I have large pores and it really settles onto your skin without exaggerating any imperfections, it blends seemlessly and works with other product, on top of powders, under powders, with contour and highlight. It's a product that just gets along with anything. The beautiful colour means it can work with any lip and eye combination and it has a really nice sheen that will be perfect all year round.

I reccomend to try before you buy with these because of such contrasting experiences I've had with these two shades, I can assume because Muse has more pigment in it that makes the gel consistency more workable and because Flush is more of a super sheer tint it doesn't have any pigment that can help the application and wearability.

Oh and both stains have this amazing warm lemon scent like lemon cake and super cute containers with modern and feminine packaging, I apply directly from the tube and/or using a brush it doesn't make a difference.

It's a nice change of pace from powders or creams so this is something that is worth having in your beauty wardrobe, especially since you can find some cheap deluxe trial sizes on eBay. ;)

I find these cheek stains hard to use, sticky, blotchy, and not sanitary to use. I have since discovered the Pixi gel stains and those are so much better. I will not repurchase.

HORRIBLE. Buyer beware. This product is awful. I got a sample size for it in my sephora bag bc of my points. As I am driving I decided to put some on my cheeks and holy crap-- what a terrible mistake. Once I put it on I felt like I was putting a sticky substance on my face. It looked and felt horrible. Do not buy this product!

I posted my review for these under tarte cheek stain's "true love" (great for NC40 and shades closed). Not gonna write an essay again but these are amazing! Lasts over 10 hours, easy to apply. Don't over blend and yes they are a little sticky but they are worth it! Would definitely buy again

I am a fan of these. I like the delivery, I like how they apply (I use a dampened sponge swipe over stick than dab on my cheeks), I like the longevity & overall feel. My two favorite colors are Tipsy (peachy pink) and Blushing Bride (deep plummy rose). I have tried many other stains and these are my favorite for day to day. (Becca Beach Tints are my fave for the hottest humid days of summer).

LOVE this type of blush....Stila was the last one I had but discontinued now.....boooo....VERY DISAPOINTED in this formula. I have tried it tons of times over the years in Sephora and could never get over the sticky tacky feeling. The SA said to let it sit awhile......but......hours later it was the same. I have dry skin so I do not know why this is so. I still try it hoping some day it will not be so sticky and I will take it home.

This blush is fantastic! I have it in blissful and tipsy, and plan to try more colors. When applied, it is absorbed into the skin and stays put for a whole day. No worries about it melting off my oily face even in the summer. Other people have commented that it's too sticky, but unless you apply as thick as a clown, it'll be absorbed into the skin in less than a minute. The price ($30) is really steep, but a full size will last years.

I recommend buying the minis. They are only $10, more compact, and (like the full size) will last you a very long time. I don't know if I can ever use up my full size.
