I have bought this soap over & over again. I love that it's fragrance free. I mainly use it for feminine hygiene but in the past I have used it as my sole facial cleanser and found it to be the best I have yet to find for m/u removal. The lather is very rich and creamy, I have oily skin and didn't find this drying at all. That being said this does nothing to deep clean my pores which is why I have since switched to using a BHA wash for my face.

It helps clear up acne and all I can say is it's really amazing! I've used the dove white bar before but it only clogged my pores so that time I told myself never to use dove on my face again but because of my frustration with acne, I've decided to try it again but this time the one for sensitive skin, and yes it did really clear my acne up. Wow. Pls try this soap if ever you're suffering from acne.this is a cheap and effective way to clear it up.

Like many others here, I found that it dries the skin on my face. Depending on the time of the month, I can sometimes feel it pulling, it's that dry. I sometimes feel that it doesn't fully wash away (probably because of the cream).
I also don't like the smell too much but would have lived with it if it was good for my skin.

I would buy this again in a pinch for a body soap, but I tried it for my face and it was a disaster. Left my skin red tight and itchy and several days later, I broke out in a bunch of little inflamed pimples on my cheeks. Any acne I experience is usually hormonal and around my chin or jawline, and with this being my only new addition in my skincare routine, I definitely know this was the culprit. Not bad for a use on my body, but I'll be sticking with St. Ives body wash.

I needed more face cleanser since I was about to run out, and I decided to try this after reading so many positive reviews. I have combination skin which typically doesn't react to products. I had a few pimples on my chin prior to using this bar, and thought maybe something more "sensitive" would help since acne products are too drying for me. Well, this soap has dried out my whole face and I have new pimples in places I never get them! This is all I've used on my face in the past week. I love it for my body, which is why I rated it a 2, but for the intended purpose, it's just not the right product for me.

I have rosacea and sensitive skin, and tried this on my never-ending quest for a HG facial cleanser. I'll have to keep looking, as this left my skin bright red and dried out, even though it felt moisturizing in the shower. For now, I'll stick with my trusty CeraVe foaming, which is not perfect, but at least doesn't cause irritation.

I bought some of this soap last week. My dermatologist said - well, actually she did say that, but I went more by that book "Skin Rules" (good book) that said it was good to use unscented soap and recommended this soap by name. I do like it and feel clean after using it. I miss the smell of scented soap but oh well. Two bars wrapped together is more expensive than some other soaps for a two pack so I gave it a 3 for price. My husband will continue to use deodorant soaps and I'm glad he does!

I really like Dove Soap. I love the original scented white beauty bar, and I really like the unscented, sensitive skin version.
Here's the thing. I can only use Dove Sensitive on my face once in a while. When my skin is dehydrated or if I have over exfoliated. Dove needs to be followed with a toner, and until I find one that doesn't irritate my skin, I may use Dove Sensitive steady.
The problem is this: it does not irritate my skin or really cause breakouts-but it does start making my skin look bumpy & "rough" and muddy (uneven skin tone) so I can use it for a few days before I get clogged pores and under-the-skin bumps. I don't know why, I really like the way it feels. So easy on my skin, so simple...maybe I'll go back to Simple Refreshing Cleansing Gel.
***UPDATE*** November 5th 2013
Yep Dove does not irritate my skin-no nasty welts itching or hives. However, this detergent bar (because it is NOT a soap in the classic sense of lye & tallow) but it does contain tallow, (aka being "super fatted" ) and for me that caused some serious, hard to get rid of sebum plugs. It sucks because everything about Dove Bar seems "right" somehow, but it's not :C
As I'd stated above: Back to Simple Refreshing Cleansing Gel
Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair Hair: Brunette, Medium Eyes: Green
I have always had very oily, acne prone skin. For so many years I thought I had to use strong medicated cleansers to keep my skin clear- but they never did. When my dermatologist recommended this to me over 6 years ago, I was hesitant, but I have learned that less is better when it comes to skincare. This stuff is so gentle on my skin, does not break it out or irritate it, and leaves it so soft. The only thing I do not like is that it is a bar and is probably unsanitary, but that doesn't stop me from using it. It's cheap, effective, lasts a long time, and can be used for face and body. I will continue to use for many more years to come.

I tried using this on my face, because there were a lot of good reviews on it. I was really surprised to find that it actually over dried my face, even though I have oily skin. It still works pretty well for use on the body though. It leaves my back soft, and doesn't seem to irritate my ultra sensitive skin.
