This is probably my favourite Body Shop moisturiser. Just enough moisture for my combination skin but doesn't feel too heavy. Too bad it is out of stock quite often around here - last time this made me go for the vitamin E moisturiser, which is a bit too heavy for me.

It feels nice on my skin, slightly cooling, smells nice and has SPF 15, which is pretty important for me as a pale redhead, too (enough for a standard Scottish day, erm)!

I received a couple of samples of the product and so far I love it. It's a nice creamy lightweight texture and of course I love the fact it has SPF 15. Perfect for underneath my mineral makeup. I must say it is a tad expensive but when I run out of my current SPF day moisturizer I will definitely be purchasing the full version of this product.

mattfyies only when applied after a hour the shine is back, its not dry which is a good thing but also not matte, i think if alot was applied it can probably clog your pores.

I agree with other reviewers - this is sold as "mattifying" but it did just the opposite of that for me. I am a very oily skinned girl and this did not absorb well. I've used spf moisturizers before that do not claim to be mattifying, and had a better, less greasy experience with them.

i bought this because i think it's a good sunscreen and the price is not too expensive. when i first wore this, it's look like another SPF moisturizer, like the body shop moisture white uv protection cream. after 2 hours i wore this, my face looks like a oil factory. but still, it better than the moisture white one. oh gosh!!! i wouldn't buy this again. this moisturizer makes my acne prone skin breaks out.

I have never been a regular Body Shop user. Like most companies, they do have a couple of good things, but I find them to be overall very overpriced for what they have. I stepped into the store when they were doing a promo and got this item half off. I needed a new SPF moisturizer at the time and with the promo, this was cheap. I would not buy this moisturizer otherwise. My skin is not that oily, but the Aloe version for normal/combo skin was sold out.
Pros: scent is minimal/not offensive, not too heavy.
Cons: it's overpriced for what it is, doesn't really mattify, and it may or may not be the source of a couple of breakouts.
It's hard to determine if I am getting blemishes from this, but I am already on the hunt for a better moisturizer and just finishing this up. Having read the other reviews, I will just stop using ASAP.

I recently purchased this because of the SPF and I was able to get 40% off so I thought why not. So far I like it. I feel like it controls my oil fairly well and is moisturizing since I have a tendency to get some areas that need more moisture. Although after reading some of the reviews I am a bit worried but I will continue to try it. It smells decent as well considering I was using the Tea Tree Moisturizer.

For me, it kind of works, as a product. It keeps my oiliness, somewhat, at bay.
But then I read all the ingredients in it.
And now I'm scared.
3 lippies for doing what it says, but the amount of ingredients it takes for it to do that, no way i'm putting all these chemicals on me again.

EWWWW I will give this 2 lippie for not causing breakouts and irritations. It does not control oil and instead it adds more shine! I dont know if it is just my skin but when i put this on i feel like i am putting on a layer of extra oil and it makes foundation sooo much harder to blend. NEVER will buy again.

First of all: Do NOT use this product as a sunscreen or combined with any sunscreen containing avobenzone. The Body Shop apparently doesn't give a shit for the health of their customers and enjoys lying to them. Why? Because this moisturizer apparently contains ingredients that counteract each other and therefore make it absolutely useless as a sunscreen. More here: http://www.makeupalley.com/m_100422823

That said, I also wouldn't recommend this product as a normal moisturizer for oily skin, even though it's designed for this skin type. It's way too greasy and heavy, which would be slightly more bearable if its sun protection worked, but unfortunately it doesn't. Also, the seaweed it contains is comedogenic and might clog your pores.

So, people with oily skin who are looking for SPF protection, do yourself a favour stay away from this moisturizer!!

Good summertime lotion with SPF for me. Not super greasy like drugstore moisturizers priced just a little bit lower. Kept my face shine-free throughout the day and wasn't harsh on my dry skin. Love it. wish it could be a little lower priced, but I'm a Love Your Body member at the Body Shop so it pays off for me to buy there.

This moisturiser is pretty good despite the high price I paid for it. It's a bit thick because of the SPF 15 and it will take a bit more time to put on evenly, but my skin is not oily for a few good hours. (At the end of the day my skin becomes oily anyway) I also have the moisturiser without spf and that is slightly lighter and smoother and also controls oil for me. I guess you will hate this if you hate the consistency, but after you put it on it dries ok. I suggest trying out the testers to see what I mean. So far I have no reactions or anything. If my skin tone doesn't become uneven in a few more months in the sun I'll probably repurchase.

I was really excited at the idea of a mattifying moisturizer, but unfortunately, the product did not work well for me at all. The moisturizer actually dried out my skin and sometimes left me feeling tingly - way too harsh for a product aimed at combo skin. In addition to drying out my skin, the mattifying effect lasts for, at best, one or two hours.

Wasted my money on this stuff - would not recommend or buy again.

This product was reformulated fairly recently. I believe the release date was in February 08 so its different than the one that most of the people who rated this used.

I actually like this product and have been using it every morning for the past 3 weeks. It definitely moisturizes, which I need since I have combination skin. It does mattify but not that much. I tend to get shiny really really easily so this product doesn't improve much in that regard. I still use the product because I'm highly sensitive to SPF lotions and tend to break out when I use them. I used to get my SPF from Bare Minerals, which doesnt cause breakouts but since I've switched foundations, I needed something to give me SPF protection without making me breakout. This product gets high marks for providing SPF without the ubershine that SPF products usually give me.

All in all, moisturizing, not that mattifying, but not at all greasy

This moisturizer was quite efficient on my combination skin a few years ago, I must say that I liked the SPF 15 and the nice fresh smell it has.

Now it comes in a pot (at the beginning it was in a tube - much more hygienic!) and I didn't manage to finish the last one I bought: my skin has become really sensitive and it wasn't protective any more. I've found better moisturizers since then.

The reason I bought it was because it was oil-free, non-comedogenic, has spf15 and claimed to be mattifying. It seemed like the perfect moisturiser for my combo/oily skin so I didn't mind paying £9 for it.
But was I wrong. Although I tried the tester in the shop, the smell seemed to be more overwhelming at home. I think it's too strong to be described as 'fresh'. On my skin, it felt slightly heavy and greasy. It didn't control any shine at all. This was my first The Body Shop product and I was disappointed. Won't repurchase.

a thick, greasy, shiny, pore-clogging mess. way over-priced especially considering the fact that it pretty much did everything it wasn't supposed to do. left my acne-prone, oily skin broken out and greasy.

on a positive note, it smells very fresh and clean.

it works for controlling oily/blemish skin. I helped clean up my skin acne quite well. but remember to read its label. it has a expiration date. and remember to tight the gap. and when you squeeze too much product out, don't try to squeeze it back because your finger has lots of bacterias.

i recently throw away one tube because the product became contaminated (I had an reaction when i put some on.) before its expiration date.
