I bought this forever ago when I was afraid of brights but wanted to be dramatic. I have never used this in a look. I only played around with this but I use Juxt, Swimming, and Golden Olive pigment all the time. I like satin finishes but this color looks like drab olive fern green swamp. The pigmentation and smoothness is impressive though. If you like army colors you would like this. I bet a redhead would look good in this.

at first i liked this but now i don't. it looks almost grayish instead of a true green. it's not on the mac site anymore so i suspect it might be discontinued. fine with me! i would like a nice, lush green for my nc50 complexion...oh well. i guess i'll keep looking!

I love MAC, but this color did NOT do it for me. Looks like a forest green color with just a hint of shimmer in the pot, turns into a weird greyish-green color on my skin. almost looked like i had a black eye!!! just didn't do it for me, but the same great formula as all MAC eyeshadows, so i gave it 2 lippies.

I'm not a green e/s type of person. I have brown eyes and usually wear the purples, pinks and nuetral shades. I never thought that green was one of those "safe" colors but I sure was wrong. A perfect green... not too dark, or bright/tackie at all, but a nice nuetral green. This is the first green eyeshadow that I actually like and plan to wear often. Looks good, I like it.

I thought I didn't need another green but I was wrong! This is the best one out of them all. I wear this often. It's described perfectly on Mac. Although, it should be called Plummage. It reminds me of a feather & it's versatile. I will die if they D/C this shade :~O

This is a lovely liner/crease shade. I was half expecting it to just look muddy when I applied it like many dark shadows do, but it holds its lovely green hue, and blends fabulously. It pairs very well with Surreal, and compliments my eyes very well(dark blue).

I was not too impressed by this eyeshadow. It blended like a dream, but the color wasn't all that great. It looked a bit dark in the pot and when I put it on it just looked dirty and smudge-y looking. Probably just not my color; in any case I returned it shortly after buying it.

To my surprise, the MAC website's color description is actually quite accurate for a change. This is a muted, murky blued darkish green (I definitely would not call it olive -- ivy is much closer) with no visible shimmer but a bit more luster than the mattes. It has the usual silky smooth, incredibly blendable texture of MAC shadows. It's a fantastic crease shade for a believable, colored but not blindingly bright greenish contour. This is also great to use to set Tealo Powerpoint as the shades are similar.

Shade MEADOW - Dark ivy green (Description on MAC Website: "Murky greenery, shaded by blue (Satin)") - I don't see any blue in this!

Texture Super smooth MAC eyeshadow texture!

Comments Meadow is a dark ivy green which you can use both as a liner or as a wash up the eyes. I've medium skintone, and Meadow isn't the best eyeliner shade for me, but I'll definitely keep it in my collection because it's quite a pretty shade. I must look at the rest of the MAC eyeshadow collection! :)

EDITED I wore this shade out today from the crease to the lash, and on the outer lids. The green showed up very well and it complemented my olive skin tone to a T!

My colouring
Yellow-beige Chinese Asian NC35 with jet black hair and very dark brown eyes.

A great spring look. I can't rate this as a 5, since shale and scene are the 2 colours that really make my eyes sparkle. They are my signatures, but meadow is very pretty indeed. It's a nice green-blue shade, that looks great with a refresing pink lipstick like snob. I also find that this colours looks awesome if you wear it with a green-blue coloured top. I usually disagree with the match your make-up to your clothes idea - but in this case i'd make an exception. I may re-purchase this - but I'm sticking with shale and scene as my 'classics'.

Oh goodness me.. I thought, having 10 shades of green shadow, that I'd covered the greens - but as soon as I tried this deep, slightly muted forest green shade, I had to have it. It works really well with most colours as a conrner colour, or even on its own as a smooth daytime colour in the fall. Never creases, and is a necessary dark green in any MU lovers collection.

Meadow is a pretty, muted ivy green with a touch of grey. It pairs well against mint shadows, such as Urban Decay's Cash and MAC's White Gold Pigment. It's so soft and easy to blend - I'd repurchase this in a heartbeat. It works beautifully against my olive NC30 skin. :)

This is my staple olive green eyeshadow. Looks great as both a liner and a lid color and is buildable. I don't know what one would pair it with and would think it's best worn alone. It's a nice, noticeable green while being totally subtle. A great shadow.

This is my 2nd green shadow purchased from the MAC line. I have never used green shadow before, but find it really works with my dark brown eyes. This is a basic green shadow, color is like a "meadow", or tree leaf, (if that makes sense, LOL!).

This colour looked kind of drab to me while it was in the pot. However, when I swiped it on it kind of came to life. It is a truly unique green with a hint of blue. It is quite dark and as a PPP I found it a little dramatic to use all over the lid for daytime. I think I will try it next as a crease colour or liner.

I'll have to admit that this color went on my eyes brighter than I anticipated, but it is pretty nonetheless. I'd call it a dark pastel (if that's possible) satiny leafy green color. Goes well with BB Gel Liner in Hunter.

Love this! It's a deep, smooth green with a bit of sparkle. I used it for the first time today as a liner over my top lashes and my eyes look great. I paired it with MAC haux. I would recommend this for anyone with hazel eyes. It's gorgeous!
